A species of facultatively anaerobic, Gram-negative, bacilli assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria. This species is motile, non-spore forming, catalase positive, oxidase negative, lipase positive, indole negative, ornithine decarboxylase negative, ferments sucrose reduces nitrate, does not produce hydrogen sulfide, and hydrolyzes esculin.
