A species of facultatively anaerobic, gram negative, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria. This species is motile by peritrichous flagella, oxidase negative, produces acid from fermentation, utilizes citrate as a carbon source, indole positive and negative for H2S production.
