A species of aerobic, Gram-positive, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Actinobacteria. This species is nonmotile, catalase and urease positive, reduces nitrate, hydrolyzes esculin, hypoxanthine, and xanthine, but not casein, elastin, testosterone, or tyrosine.
