(odontogenic neoplasm) A benign or malignant neoplasm arising from tooth-forming tissues. It occurs in the maxillofacial skeleton or the gingiva. Benign neoplasms are slow growing and are not associated with specific clinical symptoms. Pain is absent or slight.
