A species of obligately anaerobic, Gram-negative, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Bacteroidetes. This species is nonmotile, non-spore forming, nonpigmented, rhamnose, sucrose, esculin hydrolysis, beta-N-acetyl-glucosaminidase, and alpha-fucosidase positive, but indole and glycine aminopeptidase negative.
