OBJECTIVE
To estimate the prevalence of childhood obesity in Brazil by means of a systematic review of representative studies.
SOURCES
We searched for population-based studies that assessed obesity in Brazilian children aged < 10 years in MEDLINE, EMBASE, Scopus and other sources up to September, 2019. Paired researchers selected studies, extracted data and assessed the quality of these studies. Meta-analysis of prevalence and confidence interval (95% CI) was calculated, weighted by the population sizes using Freeman-Tukey double-arccosine transformation. Heterogeneity (I) and publication bias were investigated by meta-regression and Egger's test, respectively.
SUMMARY OF THE FINDINGS
53 studies were included (n = 122,395), which were held from 1986 to 2015 and limited mainly due to inadequate response rates. Prevalence of obesity in the three-decade period was of 8.2% ([95% CI]: 8.1-8.4%, I = 98.5%). Higher prevalence was observed in boys (9.7% [9.4-9.9%], I = 97.4%) than girls (7.3% [7.1-7.5%], I = 96.1%). Prevalence increased according to the decade (1990: 6.5% [6.0-7.0 %], I = 96.8%; 2000: 7.9% [7.7-8.0 %], I = 98.8%; 2010: 12.0% [11.5-12.6 %], I = 95.8%), and Brazilian region (Northeast: 6.4% [6.2-6.7%], I = 98.1%; North: 6.7% [6.3-7.2%], I = 98.8%; Southeast:10.6% [10.2-11.0%], I = 98.2%; South: 10.1 [9.7-10.4%], I = 97.7%). Heterogeneity was affected by age and region (p < 0.05) and publication bias was discarded (p = 0.746).
CONCLUSION
For every 100 Brazilian children, over eight had obesity in the three-decade period and 12 in each 100 had childhood obesity in more recent estimates. Higher prevalence occurred in boys, recent decades and more developed Brazilian regions.

Residential density is considered an important attribute of the built environment that may be relevant to childhood obesity. However, findings remain inconclusive, and there are no reviews yet on the association between residential density and childhood obesity. This study aimed to systematically review the associations between residential density and weight-related behaviours and outcomes. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using the Cochrane Library, PubMed and Web of Science for articles published before 1 January 2019. A total of 35 studies conducted in 14 countries were identified, including 33 cross-sectional studies, one longitudinal study and one containing both study designs. Residential density was measured by Geographic Information Systems in 28 studies within a varied radius from 0.25 to 2 km around the individual residence. Our study found a general positive association between residential density and physical activity (PA); no significant associations were observed. This study provided evidence for a supportive role of residential density in promoting PA among children. However, it remained difficult to draw a conclusion between residential density and childhood obesity. Future longitudinal studies are warranted to confirm this association.

BACKGROUND
Despite the fact that obesity and overweight are serious major health problems worldwide, fighting against them is also considered a challenging issue. Several interventional studies have evaluated the potential weight-reduction effect of Tirzepatide. In order to obtain a better viewpoint from them, this study aimed to comprehensively investigate the effects of subcutaneous Tirzepatide on obesity and overweight.
METHODS
Scopus, PubMed/Medline, Web of Science, Cochrane, and Embase databases were searched using standard keywords to identify all controlled trials investigating the weight loss effects of Tirzepatide. Pooled weighted mean difference and 95% confidence intervals were achieved by random-effects model analysis for the best estimation of outcomes. The statistical heterogeneity and publication bias were determined using the Cochran's test and I statistics and using the funnel plot and Egger's test, respectively.
RESULTS
Twenty three treatments arm with 7062 participants' were included in this systematic review and meta-regression analysis. The pooled findings showed that Tirzepatide vs placebo significantly reduced body weight (weighted mean difference (WMD): -11.34 kg, 95% confidence interval (CI): -12.79 to -9.88, P< 0.001), body mass index (BMI) (WMD: -3.11 kg/m2, 95% CI: -4.36 to -1.86, P< 0.001), and waist circumference (WC) (WMD: -7.24 cm, 95% CI -10.12 to -4.36, P< 0.001). These reductions were even greater, especially with higher doses and duration of Tirzepatide.
CONCLUSIONS
Tirzepatide medication had significant effects on weight management with the reduction of body weight, BMI, and WC. Administration of Tirzepatide can be considered a therapeutic strategy for overweight or obese people.

BACKGROUND
The global prevalence of childhood obesity has exhibited a troubling surge in recent years. Due to the raised questions regarding its potential correlation with infertility in adulthood, this systematic review has been undertaken to explore the relationships between childhood obesity, and infertility later in life.
METHODS
A comprehensive search was performed in three international databases (PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus). All cohort (retrospective or prospective), case-cohort, and nested case-control studies until April 2022 which assessed the association of obesity in children and adolescents with male and female infertility indicators in later life were included. The quality of the included studies was assessed by Newcastle-Ottawa quality assessment checklists.
RESULT
Out of the initial 32,501 documents, eleven eligible studies with a total sample size of 498,980 participants were included. Five studies focused on the number of offspring and indicated that obesity, especially in adolescence had an association with later life lower number of children, nulliparity, and childlessness in both men and women. Concerning conceiving problems, two studies showed that obesity before age 12 increased the risk of female fertility problems in the future. Two studies reported that obesity in early life raised the risk of impaired female reproductive system such as menstrual or ovulatory problems. As well as females, a study discovered that obesity in men during their 20s was linked to an elevated risk of low sperm motility and poor sperm morphology. Another study has reported men with higher pre-pubertal BMI had lower sex hormone-binding globulin; however, the same association was not seen between childhood BMI and semen quality.
CONCLUSION
The evidence suggests a positive association between childhood obesity with infertility indicators in later life. Childhood weight reduction strategies are suggested to be implemented in societies in order to reduce infertility rates in later life.

Grocery store is usually considered to be a healthy food outlet as it provides access to a variety of healthy food, such as fruits and vegetables, which may potentially improve overall dietary quality and protect against obesity. However, findings of the association between grocery store and childhood obesity are controversial. This study aimed to systematically review the evidence on the association between access to grocery stores and childhood obesity. A literature search was conducted in the PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science for articles published before January 1, 2019, using the combinations of three groups of keywords separately for grocery store, children and adolescents, and weight-related behaviours and outcomes. A total of 27 cross-sectional and eight longitudinal studies were identified. Controversial results existed among 24 studies, which examined the association between the access to grocery stores and weight-related outcomes. A null association was observed in almost all meta-analyses conducted by different measures of grocery stores and weight status, except the analysis between presence of grocery stores and overweight, which reached borderline significance. For weight-related behaviours, mixed findings were reported between grocery stores and dietary behaviours, and no significant associations were found for physical activity. This systematic review and meta-analysis suggested that access to grocery stores may have a rather small influence on child weight.

OBJECTIVE
Childhood obesity, which is currently at epidemic levels, is the most prevalent chronic condition affecting young people's health worldwide. Along with the rise in juvenile obesity, illnesses like diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and fatty liver disease have become more prevalent in kids. Hence, through this systematic review and meta-analysis, we aimed to determine the lifestyle changes that would have the most impact on the incidence of childhood obesity.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
The databases of PubMed-MEDLINE, Web of Science, Cochrane, and Scopus were searched using keywords, such as "BMI", "childhood obesity", "lifestyle changes" and "nutritional intervention" and 482 documents were found overall after a thorough search of the online journals; 169 of them were first chosen. Only 58 original papers were left after 111 articles that were duplicates or exact copies of one another were eliminated.
RESULTS
12 studies were ultimately picked because they met the necessary inclusion and exclusion requirements. Reducing overall caloric intake and dietary factors specific to the child's parents were two of the most frequent impact factors on obesity levels, closely followed by physical activity levels and a sedentary lifestyle. The dietary intervention had the most positive results in modifying obesity-related dietary risk factors for obese children and adolescents in the majority of the studies.
CONCLUSIONS
An overall balanced diet, parental awareness pertaining to BMI and physical activity in children were the three major factors influencing a child's obesity levels. However, more studies are needed in this regard so as to ascertain a complete, holistic treatment plan that can further validate the implementation of our findings.

Childhood obesity in the United States has doubled over the last three decades and currently affects 17% of children and adolescents. While much research has focused on individual behaviors impacting obesity, little research has emphasized the complex interactions of numerous chemical and non-chemical stressors found in a child's environment and how these interactions affect a child's health and well-being. The objectives of this systematic scoping review were to (1) identify potential chemical stressors in the context of non-chemical stressors that impact childhood obesity; and, (2) summarize our observations for chemical and non-chemical stressors in regards to child-specific environments within a community setting. A review was conducted to identify chemical and non-chemical stressors related to childhood obesity for the childhood life stages ranging from prenatal to adolescence. Stressors were identified and grouped into domains: individual behaviors, family/household behaviors, community stressors, and chemical exposures. Stressors were related to the child and the child's everyday environments and used to characterize child health and well-being. This review suggests that the interactions of chemical and non-chemical stressors are important for understanding a child's overall health and well-being. By considering these relationships, the exposure science research community can better design and implement strategies to reduce childhood obesity.

Childhood obesity is a global public health problem with significant implications for the health and well-being of children. The prevalence of childhood obesity is increasing every decade, making it a recognized public health concern. This systematic review aims to explore and evaluate the impact of school-based interventions on reducing pediatric obesity among school-aged children. A systematic review of literature according to the recommendations of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 was conducted. Google Scholar, PubMed, and Cochrane were the databases used. After screening for bias, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and quality, 27 studies were included in the systematic review, and data were synthesized. The results show that physical activity reduces obesity and improves cardiovascular health. The nutritional change reduces the risk of obesity more than physical activity alone. When blended, the two provide the most benefits for participants. Motivation, self-efficacy, and behavioral change could help maintain the improvements. Schools should adopt a blend of physical activity and nutritional change to reduce prevent, reduce, and manage obesity.

The lack of access to public transport is generally considered to be a risk factor for childhood obesity by discouraging active transport and thus physical activity. To explore the association between access to public transport and childhood obesity, we have conducted a systematic literature search in the Cochrane Library, PubMed, and Web of Science for studies published before January 1, 2019. A total of 25 cross-sectional and two longitudinal studies conducted in 10 countries were identified. Inconsistent findings were identified arising from a great variety of sample characteristics, definitions of exposure (ie, access to public transport), and outcome variables (eg, obesity), and analysis methods. While over half of the studies showed null associations between access to public transport and childhood obesity, we have observed more positive than negative associations among the rest of the studies. These observations suggest that an increased level of access to public transport may have a health-promoting effect and hence prevent the development of childhood obesity. However, this conclusion needs to be further corroborated in future research on the basis of large-sample health surveys, in situ observations, and comparative analyses among different study areas.

Mobile health (mHealth) is a relatively nascent field, with a variety of technologies being explored and developed. Because of the explosive growth in this field, it is of interest to examine the design, development and efficacy of various interventions as research becomes available. This systematic review examines current use of mHealth technologies in the prevention or treatment of pediatric obesity to catalogue the types of technologies utilized and the impact of mHealth to improve obesity-related outcomes in youth. Of the 4021 articles that were identified, 41 articles met inclusion criteria. Seventeen intervention studies incorporated mHealth as the primary or supplementary treatment. The remaining articles were in the beginning stages of research development and most often described moderate-to-high usability, feasibility and acceptability. Although few effects were observed on outcomes such as body mass index, increases in physical activity, self-reported breakfast and fruit and vegetable consumption, adherence to treatment, and self-monitoring were observed. Findings from this review suggest that mHealth approaches are feasible and acceptable tools in the prevention and treatment of pediatric obesity. The large heterogeneity in research designs highlights the need for more agile scientific processes that can keep up with the speed of technology development.
