The marine talent cultivation and output in higher vocational colleges is an important support to build a strong maritime country and ensure the steady development of the shipping business industry. Vocational colleges should ensure effective career preparation and career guidance education for their students, and train them to acquire the professional abilities to work and adapt effectively and quickly in the future. Some studies show that many crew members experience a decline in job satisfaction, a low sense of achievement, and a series of negative subjective career feelings. Even more, some crew members have poor work performance or unsuccessful career development behaviors such as career change or resignation. This study examined the causes and influencing factors of these circumstances and might be a reference for schools to strengthen the quality of their training programs in the future. In-depth interviews with 12 vocational marine navigation college graduates were conducted, and grounded theory was used to code and analyze the collected interview information. Four types of influencing factors were identified: adaptation preparation, career adaptability, adaptation action, and the situational factor. The adaptation preparation factor could be categorized into psychology, determination, lack of certificates, and simple work; the career adaptability factor could be categorized into boring work, busyness, a big gap between expectations and reality, danger, promotion difficulty, poor interpersonal relationships, high pressure, and maladaptation to the surroundings; the adaptation action factor could be categorized into passive fatigue, lack of training, competition, confidence, and planning; while the situational factor could be categorized into the impact of the epidemic, low social status, lack of support from family, and advantages of living on land. To help the marine navigation students better adapt to their jobs and avoid subjective career unsuccessfulness, higher vocational colleges need to strengthen students' mental health education, consolidate knowledge and skills training, encourage students to obtain more vocational competency certificates, enhance their interpersonal communication skills, do effective career planning, pay attention to physical exercise and safety awareness training, and adopt other career management and counseling suggestions.

Review
The paper presents the profile of the psychologist, Ludwika Karpińska-Woyczyńska, the first Polish woman who acted for the popularisation of psychoanalysis and experimental psychology. Karpińska belonged to the first generation of the "Polish Freudians", a group which also involved Ludwik Jekels, Stefan Borowiecki, Herman Nunberg, Jan Nelken and Karol de Beaurain. Karpińska's difficult path to gain higher education will be presented. Thepaper lays an emphasis on Karpińska's contribution to the development of the international psychoanalysis and offers an overview of her most significant psychoanalytic publications (Polish and foreign ones) up to the outbreak of World War I. It demonstrates her participation in scientific conferences and collaboration with the most important psychoanalytical centres in Zurich and Vienna together with their representatives (Jung, Freud, Jekels) drawing simultaneous attention to the broader historical background of the presented events. Karpińska's post-war work was inextricably linked to the research on intelligence quotient of children and youth and psychotechnical studies. Furthermore, the paper illustrates the activities of the Municipal Psychological Lab in Lodz, where Karpińska was a Head between 1920 and 1930, as well as her scientific achievements in intelligence quotient research, most significant publications of 1921-1930, her collaboration with foreign centres of a similar profile and the efforts she made to establish the Vocational Guidance Service.

The notion of decent work was developed by the International Labour Organization 20 years ago. The notion is now well known by lawyers, economists, and sociologists, and even if it appears difficult to define it clearly, it constitutes a useful general framework with which to think of the relationships between policy practices, work market globalization, and human rights principles. The fields of career guidance and counseling psychology are highly concerned by questions of social justice and human rights that people experience through work. Career choices being made in a liquid and unstable society, incompatibility between individualist values and collective work issues, increasing psychological health problems at work, work-family balance in precarious job situations, the growing necessity of mobility, adaptability or flexibility… all of these questions are at the heart of current career counseling practices, and concern the decent work debate. Nevertheless, the notion of decent work is not well developed in the field of vocational psychology. Despite its relevance, it is difficult to operationalize the policy and human rights principles during career counseling sessions. The article aims to explore the usefulness of the concept for career counselors, and to propose a psychosocial framework that incorporates decent work in career counseling practices. The first part of this article presents the theoretical bases of the notion of decent work and their possible use in the field of psychology. It deals with the necessity of a multilevel and psychosocial perspective, that takes into account both objective and subjective dimensions of decent work. The second part focuses on a case study illustrating how the notion of decent work emerges during counseling sessions. Four levels of the work experience linked with subjective and objective dimensions of decent work are explored; the personal level, the activity level, the collective level, and the social level. Finally, the third part discusses and proposes a framework based on the analysis of the four dimensions of work (activity, trade, others and society) in order to integrate a psychosocial view of decent work into career counseling.

Randomized Controlled Trial
BACKGROUND
Designing effective vocational programs for persons with spinal cord injury (SCI) is essential for improving return to work outcome following injury. The relationship between specific vocational services and positive employment outcome has not been empirically studied.
OBJECTIVE
To examine the association of specific vocational service activities as predictors of employment.
METHOD
Secondary analysis of a randomized, controlled trial of evidence-based supported employment (EBSE) with 12-month follow-up data among 81 Veteran participants with SCI.
RESULTS
Primary activities recorded were vocational counseling (23.9%) and vocational case management (23.8%). As expected, job development and employment supports were the most time-consuming activities per appointment. Though the amount of time spent in weekly appointments did not differ by employment outcome, participants obtaining competitive employment averaged significantly more individual activities per appointment. Further, for these participants, job development or placement and employment follow-along or supports were more likely to occur and vocational counseling was less likely to occur. Community-based employment services, including job development or placement and employment follow-along or supports as part of a supported employment model, were associated with competitive employment outcomes. Office-based vocational counseling services, which are common to general models of vocational rehabilitation, were associated with a lack of employment.
CONCLUSIONS
Vocational services that actively engage Veterans with SCI in job seeking and acquisition and that provide on-the-job support are more likely to lead to employment than general vocational counseling that involves only job preparation.

Individual entrepreneurial behaviors will be affected by their attitudes and environmental factors. Therefore, entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial environment interpret the entrepreneurial behavior mechanism of farmers from the perspectives of internal and external factors. This manuscript is based on a survey data of farmers in five western provinces in China. Using structural equation modeling, the mechanism of the effects of farmers' entrepreneurial attitudes and entrepreneurial environment on entrepreneurial behavior was analyzed empirically. The research results show that individual entrepreneurial attitudes and the external entrepreneurial environment cannot directly affect entrepreneurial behavior, and both will be through entrepreneurial self-efficacy. The sense of entrepreneurship indirectly affects entrepreneurial behavior, and entrepreneurial self-efficacy plays an intermediary role. The "entrepreneurial behavior structure" model proposed in this manuscript points out that cultivating entrepreneurial attitudes and creating an entrepreneurial environment cannot directly promote entrepreneurial behavior of farmers, but must stimulate farmers' entrepreneurial behavior. The sense of self-efficacy provides a direction for the promotion of policy formulation and practical guidance for farmers' entrepreneurship.

First Contact Practitioners' (FCPs) and General Practitioners' Perceptions Towards FCPs Delivering Vocational Advice to Patients with Musculoskeletal Conditions: A Qualitative Investigation of the Implementation Potential of the I-SWAP Initiative.
Purpose Musculoskeletal (MSK) pain is a common cause of work absence. The recent SWAP (Study of Work And Pain) randomised controlled trial (RCT) found that a brief vocational advice service for primary care patients with MSK pain led to fewer days' work absence and provided good return-on-investment. The I-SWAP (Implementation of the Study of Work And Pain) initiative aimed to deliver an implementation test-bed of the SWAP vocational advice intervention with First Contact Practitioners (FCP). This entailed adapting the SWAP vocational advice training to fit the FCP role. This qualitative investigation explored the implementation potential of FCPs delivering vocational advice for patients with MSK pain. Methods Semi-structured interviews and focus groups were conducted with 10 FCPs and 5 GPs. Data were analysed thematically and findings explored using Normalisation Process Theory (NPT). Results I-SWAP achieved a degree of 'coherence' (i.e. made sense), with both FCPs and GPs feeling FCPs were well-placed to discuss work issues with these patients. However, for many of the FCPs, addressing or modifying psychosocial and occupational barriers to return-to-work was not considered feasible within FCP consultations, and improving physical function was prioritised. Concerns were also raised that employers would not act on FCPs' recommendations regarding return-to-work. Conclusion FCPs appear well-placed to discuss work issues with MSK patients, and signpost/refer to other services; however, because they often only see patients once they are less suited to deliver other aspects of vocational advice. Future research is needed to explore how best to provide vocational advice in primary care settings.

INTRODUCTION
The production of the large yellow croaker has seasonal and regional characteristics, which is typically preserved on ice, possibly leading to its deterioration in a short time. Therefore, in this study, we focused on the effect of temperature fluctuation on the quality changes of the large yellow croaker during frozen storage.
METHODS
In this experiment, the large yellow croaker was soaked in a low-salt solution, and physical and chemical properties, water-holding capacity, color, and protein characteristics of the muscle were investigated after repeated freeze-thaw (F-T) cycles and frozen storage.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
The results show the deterioration of muscle quality of large yellow croaker after low-salt treatment was lower than that of the salt-free soaking group. The salting treatment significantly ( < 0.05) enhanced the yield of large yellow croaker, which was 24.3% greater than the salt-free soaking group after 6 weeks of frozen storage. The microstructure of the salted muscle was more stable and maintained its cellular structure after F-T cycles and frozen storage. The b* value of the salt-free soaking group increased from b* value of the low-salt soaking group decreased from acceptable range. Sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) analysis indicates the content of 17 kDa peptide decreased in the low-salt soaking group, and the peptides at 21 and 24 kDa increased during frozen storage. The results of the present study provide guidance for the optimal processing, transport, and storage of large yellow croaker, but the effect of salting on lipid oxidation and protein oxidation requires further study.

Nicotine & Tobacco Research : Official... Jan 2021To gain a better understanding of the complex and independent associations between different measures of socioeconomic position (SEP) and smoking in England.
INTRODUCTION
To gain a better understanding of the complex and independent associations between different measures of socioeconomic position (SEP) and smoking in England.
AIMS AND METHODS
Between March 2013 and January 2019 data were collected from 120 496 adults aged 16+ in England taking part in the Smoking Toolkit Study. Of these, 18.04% (n = 21 720) were current smokers. Six indicators of SEP were measured: social grade, employment status, educational qualifications, home and car ownership and income. Models were constructed using ridge regression to assess the contribution of each measure of SEP, taking account of high collinearity.
RESULTS
The strongest predictor of smoking status was housing tenure. Those who did not own their own home had twice the odds of smoking compared with homeowners (odds ratio [OR] = 2.01). Social grade, educational qualification, and income were also good predictors. Those in social grades C1 (OR = 1.04), C2 (OR = 1.29), D (OR = 1.39), and E (OR = 1.78) had higher odds of smoking than those in social grade AB. Similarly, those with A-level/equivalent (OR = 1.15), GCSE/vocational (OR = 1.48), other/still studying (OR = 1.12), and no post-16 qualifications (OR = 1.48) had higher odds of smoking than those with university qualifications, as did those who earned in the lowest (OR = 1.23), third (OR = 1.18), and second quartiles (OR = 1.06) compared with those earning in the highest. Associations between smoking and employment (OR = 1.03) and car ownership (OR = 1.05) were much smaller.
CONCLUSIONS
Of a variety of socioeconomic measures, housing tenure appears to be the strongest independent predictor of smoking in England, followed by social grade, educational qualifications, and income. Employment status and car ownership have the lowest predictive power.
IMPLICATIONS
This study used ridge regression, a technique which takes into account high collinearity between variables, to gain a better understanding of the independent associations between different measures of SEP and smoking in England. The findings provide guidance as to which SEP measures one could use when trying to identifying individuals most at risk from smoking, with housing tenure identified as the strongest independent predictor.

Due to the dynamic nature of demand, it is becoming increasingly important for the fish industry to investigate the changing choice behaviors of consumers in the face of increasing demand. This research investigated the role of attitudes and socio-demographic characteristics, which are the main factors in the fish choice behavior of consumers and in fish consumption behavior. In this context, an ordered probit model was constructed to analyze the effect of attitudes and socio-demographic characteristics as independent variables on fish consumption and purchase intention as the dependent variables. In addition, descriptive statistics were also used to reveal the current preferences related to fish. The data required for the model and descriptive statistics were obtained from 421 participants using a cross-sectional consumer survey covering the main cities of the seven regions of Turkey. The results show that while consumers prefer fish more than red meat and less than poultry, they mostly buy fresh fish from fish markets. Moreover, taste, physical appearance, convenience, wild fish, and seller trust attitudes have a significant and positive relationship with the dependent variable (the frequency of fish purchase and consumption) and price has a negative and significant relationship. Moreover, an increase in education level has a positive and significant relationship with the frequency of fish consumption. The research results provide important suggestions and information for decision-makers in the fish industry to implement effective policies and meet the consumer expectations of producers and distributors in the fish industry. In addition, the current study provides guidance for future research.

INTRODUCTION
Postoperative facial numbness is the main complication of radiofrequency thermocoagulation in treating trigeminal neuralgia, which could seriously affect the surgical efficacy. This problem is expected to be resolved by coblation technique.
AIM
To compare the long-term efficacy and safety of coblation and percutaneous trigeminal radiofrequency thermocoagulation (PT-RFT) under fluoroscopic guidance in the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia (TN).
MATERIAL AND METHODS
A case-control prospective study was carried out. Patients with TN were randomly scheduled to receive coblation or PT-RFT. Both surgical procedures were performed under fluoroscopic guidance. The data, including the degree of pain, pain relief and complications, were recorded during follow-up evaluation, which was performed on the first day and at the end of the first month, third month, sixth month and first year after surgery.
RESULTS
A total of 50 patients were enrolled in this study, with 25 patients in each group. The visual analog scale (VAS) scores in both groups at each time point after surgery were significantly lower compared with before surgery (p < 0.05). There were no significant differences in VAS scores or pain relief between the two groups at any time point after surgery (p > 0.05). However, patients in the PT-RFT group exhibited greater facial numbness after surgery (p < 0.05). For other complications, there were no significant differences between the two groups (p > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONS
Coblation and PT-RFT showed similar effectiveness in reducing pain; however, coblation was associated with a lower rate of postoperative facial numbness. Therefore, coblation may be a better treatment option for TN.
