INTRODUCTION
The occurrence of pneumomediastinum (PM) and/or pneumothorax (PTX) in patients with severe pneumonia due to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) was evaluated.
METHODS
This was a prospective observational study conducted in patients admitted to the intermediate respiratory care unit (IRCU) of a COVID-19 monographic hospital in Madrid (Spain) between December 14, 2020 and September 28, 2021. All patients had a diagnosis of severe SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia and required noninvasive respiratory support (NIRS): high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), and bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP). The incidences of PM and/or PTX, overall and by NIRS, and their impact on the probabilities of invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV) and death were studied.
RESULTS
A total of 1306 patients were included. 4.3% (56/1306) developed PM/PTX, 3.8% (50/1306) PM, 1.6% (21/1306) PTX, and 1.1% (15/1306) PM + PTX. 16.1% (9/56) of patients with PM/PTX had HFNC alone, while 83.9% (47/56) had HFNC + CPAP/BiPAP. In comparison, 41.7% (521/1250) of patients without PM and PTX had HFNC alone (odds ratio [OR] 0.27; 95% confidence interval [95% CI] 0.13-0.55; < .001), while 58.3% (729/1250) had HFNC + CPAP/BiPAP (OR 3.73; 95% CI 1.81-7.68; < .001). The probability of needing IMV among patients with PM/PTX was 67.9% (36/53) (OR 7.46; 95% CI 4.12-13.50; < .001), while it was 22.1% (262/1185) among patients without PM and PTX. Mortality among patients with PM/PTX was 33.9% (19/56) (OR 4.39; 95% CI 2.45-7.85; < .001), while it was 10.5% (131/1250) among patients without PM and PTX.
CONCLUSIONS
In patients admitted to the IRCU for severe SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia requiring NIRS, incidences of PM/PTX, PM, PTX, and PM + PTX were observed to be 4.3%, 3.8%, 1.6%, and 1.1%, respectively. Most patients with PM/PTX had HFNC + CPAP/BiPAP as the NIRS device, much more frequently than patients without PM and PTX. The probabilities of IMV and death among patients with PM/PTX were 64.3% and 33.9%, respectively, higher than those observed in patients without PM and PTX, which were 21.0% and 10.5%, respectively.

Many members of the genus cause economic and environmental impact diseases in nurseries, horticulture, forest, and natural ecosystems and many are of regulatory concern around the world. At present, there are 223 described species, including eight unculturable and three lost species. Twenty-eight species need to be redescribed or validated. A lectotype, epitype or neotype was selected for 20 species, and a redescription based on the morphological/molecular characters and phylogenetic placement is provided. In addition, the names of five species are validated: , (Synonym: ), , and for which morphology and phylogeny are given. Two species, and are presented as new combinations. is treated with a representative strain as both lecto- and epitypification are pending. This manuscript provides the updated multigene phylogeny and molecular toolbox with seven genes (ITS rDNA, , , , , , and ) generated from the type specimens of 212 validly published, and culturable species (including nine hybrid taxa). The genome information of 23 types published to date is also included. Several aspects of the taxonomic revision and phylogenetic re-evaluation of the genus including species concepts, concept and position of the phylogenetic clades recognized within are discussed. Some of the contents of this manuscript, including factsheets for the 212 species, are associated with the ": molecular and morphological identification of based on the types" online resource (https://idtools.org/tools/1056/index.cfm). The first version of the online resource released to the public in September 2019 contained 161 species. In conjunction with this publication, we are updating the online resource to version 2 to include the 51 species recently described. The current status of the 223 described species is provided along with information on type specimens with details of the host (substrate), location, year of collection and publications. Additional information is provided regarding the ex-type culture(s) for the 212 valid culturable species and the diagnostic molecular toolbox with seven genes that includes the two metabarcoding genes (ITS and ) that are important for Sanger sequencing and also very valuable Molecular Operational Taxonomic Units (MOTU) for second and third generation metabarcoding High-throughput sequencing (HTS) technologies. The online resource will continue to be updated annually to include new descriptions. This manuscript in conjunction with represents a monographic study and the most updated revision of the taxonomy and phylogeny of widely considered one of the most important genera of plant pathogens. Mannoproteins, mannose-glycosylated proteins, play an important role in biological processes and have various applications in industries. Several methods have been already used for the extraction of mannoproteins from yeast cell-wall. The aim of this study was to evaluate the extraction and deproteinization of mannan oligosaccharide from the Kluyveromyces (K.) marxianus mannoprotein.
METHODS
To acquire crude mannan oligosaccharides, K. marxianus mannoproteins were deproteinized by the Sevage, trichloroacetic acid, and hydrochloric acid (HCL) methods. Total nitrogen, crude protein content, fat, carbohydrate and ash content were measured according to the monograph prepared by the meeting of the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee and standard. Mannan oligosaccharide loss, percentage of deproteinization, and chemical composition of the product were assessed to check the proficiency of different methods.
RESULTS
Highly purified (95.4%) mannan oligosaccharide with the highest deproteinization (97.33 ± 0.4%) and mannan oligosaccharide loss (25.1 ± 0.6%) were obtained following HCl method.
CONCLUSION
HCl, was the most appropriate deproteinization method for the removal of impurities. This preliminary data will support future studies to design scale-up procedures.

Awake surgery has become a standard practice for managing diffuse low-grade gliomas (LGGs), particularly in eloquent brain areas, and is established as a gold standard technique for left-dominant-hemisphere tumors. However, the intraoperative monitoring of functions in the right non-dominant hemisphere (RndH) is often neglected, highlighting the need for a better understanding of neurocognitive testing for complex functions in the right hemisphere. This article aims to comprehensively review the current literature on the benefits of awake craniotomy in gliomas of the non-dominant right hemisphere. A systematic review was conducted using the PubMed and ScienceDirect databases with keywords such as "right hemisphere", "awake surgery", "direct electrical brain stimulation and mapping", and "glioma". The search focused on anatomical and surgical aspects, including indications, tools, and techniques of awake surgery in right cerebral hemisphere gliomas. The literature search identified 74 sources, including original articles, books, monographs, and review articles. Two papers reported large series of language assessment cases in 246 patients undergoing awake surgery with detailed neurological semiology and mapping techniques, while the remaining studies were predominantly neuroradiological and neuroimaging in nature. Awake craniotomy for non-dominant-hemisphere gliomas is an essential tool. The term "non-dominant" should be revised, as this hemisphere contributes significantly to essential cognitive functions in the human brain.

Urbanization has numerous benefits to human society, but some aspects of urban environments, such as air pollution, can negatively affect human health. Two major air pollutants, particulate matter (PM) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), have been classified as carcinogens by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Here, we answer two questions: (1) What are the carcinogenic effects of PM and PAH exposure? (2) How does carcinogenic risk vary across geographical regions? We performed a comprehensive literature search of peer-reviewed published studies examining the link between air pollution and human cancer rates. Focusing on studies published since 2014 when the last IARC monograph on air pollution was published, we converted the extracted data into relative risks and performed subgroup analyses. Exposure to PM (per 10 μg/m) resulted in an 8.5% increase in cancer incidence when all cancer types were combined, and risk for individual cancer types (i.e. lung cancer and adenocarcinoma) was also elevated. PM was also associated with 2.5% higher mortality due to cancer when all types of cancer were combined, and for individual cancer types (i.e., lung and breast cancer). Exposure to PM and PM posed the greatest risk to lung cancer incidence and mortality in Europe (PM RR 2.15; PM RR 1.26); the risk in Asia and the Americas was also elevated. Exposure to PAH and benzo[a]pyrene significantly increased the pooled risk of cancer incidence (10.8% and 8.0% respectively) at the highest percentile of exposure concentration. Our meta-analyses of studies over the past decade shows that urban air pollution in the form of PM, PM, and PAH all elevate the incidence and mortality of cancer. We discuss the possible mechanisms of carcinogenesis of PM and PAH. These results support World Health Organization's conclusion that air pollution poses among the greatest health risks to humans living in cities.

Karl Ludwig Kahlbaum (1828-1899) was the first to conceptualize and describe the main clinical features of a novel psychiatric illness, which he termed catatonia in his groundbreaking monograph published 150 years ago. Although Kahlbaum postulated catatonia as a separate disease entity characterized by psychomotor symptoms and a cyclical course, a close examination of his 26 cases reveals that most of them presented with motor symptom complexes or syndromes associated with various psychiatric and medical conditions. In his classification system, Kraepelin categorized catatonic motor symptoms that occur in combination with psychotic symptoms and typically have a poor prognosis within his dementia praecox (schizophrenia) disease entity. Because of the substantial influence of Kraepelin's classification, catatonia was predominantly perceived as a component of schizophrenia for most of the 20 century. However, with the advent of the psychopharmacotherapy era starting from the early 1950s, interest in catatonia in both clinical practice and research subsided until the early 2000s. The past two decades have witnessed a resurgence of interest in catatonia. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders Fifth Edition, marked a paradigmatic shift by acknowledging that catatonia can occur secondary to various psychiatric and medical conditions. The introduction of an independent diagnostic category termed "Catatonia Not Otherwise Specified" significantly stimulated research in this field. The authors briefly review the history and findings of recent catatonia research and highlight promising directions for future exploration.

OBJECTIVE
To evaluate tertiary drug information databases in terms of scope, consistency of content, and completeness of COVID-19 drug information.
METHODS
Five electronic drug information databases: Clinical Pharmacology, Lexi-Drugs, AHFS DI (American Hospital Formulary Service Drug Information), eFacts and Comparisons, and Micromedex In-Depth Answers, were evaluated in this cross-sectional evaluation study, with data gathered from October 2021 through February 2022. Two study investigators independently extracted data (parallel extraction) from each resource. Descriptive statistics were primarily used to evaluate scope (i.e., whether the resource addresses use of the medication for treatment or prevention of COVID-19) and completeness of content (i.e., whether full information is provided related to the use of the medication for treatment or prevention of COVID-19) based on a 10-point scale. To analyze consistency among resources for scope, the Fleiss multi-rater kappa was used. To analyze consistency among resources for type of recommendation (i.e., in favor, insufficient evidence, against), a two-way mixed effects intraclass coefficient was calculated.
RESULTS
A total of 46 drug monographs, including 3 vaccination monographs, were evaluated. Use of the agents for treatment of COVID-19 was most frequently addressed in Lexi-Drugs (73.9%), followed by eFacts and Comparisons (71.7%), and Micromedex (54.3%). The highest overall median completeness score was held by AHFS DI followed by Micromedex, and Clinical Pharmacology. There was moderate consistency in terms of scope (kappa 0.490, 95% CI 0.399-0.581, p<0.001) and recommendations (intraclass correlation coefficient 0.518, 95% CI 0.385-0.651, p<0.001).
CONCLUSION
Scope and completeness results varied by resource, with moderate consistency of content among resources.

[Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 is a radiolabelled fibroblast activation protein inhibitor that selectively binds to fibroblast activation protein (FAP), which is overexpressed by cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in the tumour microenvironment. In recent years, radiolabelled FAP inhibitors (FAPIs) are becoming increasingly important in cancer diagnostics and also for targeted radionuclide therapy. Because of the increasing demand for radiolabelled FAPIs, automating the synthesis of these compounds is of great interest. In this work, we present a newly programmed automatic synthesis process of [Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 on a Scintomics GRP module using two Galli Ad generators as a radionuclide source. Dedicated cassettes for the labelling of Ga-peptides were used without any modifications. The generators were connected via a three-way valve to the module and eluted automatically over a strong cation exchange (SCX) cartridge by using the vacuum pump of the synthesis module, eliminating the need to transfer the eluates into a separate vial. After a reaction step in HEPES buffer, the compound was purified by solid-phase extraction (SPE) over a Sep-Pak Light C18 cartridge. The evaluation of 10 routine syntheses of [Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 resulted in a radiochemical yield of 72.6 ± 4.9%. The radiochemical purity was 97.6 ± 0.3%, and the amount of free gallium-68 and colloid was <2%. The final product fulfilled the quality criteria, which were adapted from relevant monographs of the (Ph. Eur.). This work presents the successful preparation of multiple doses of [Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 in a GMP-compliant automated process for clinical use.

Over the past few years, venereal or sexually transmitted infections (STIs) have been on the rise worldwide requiring additional specialized monographic consultations to specifically treat STIs. Therefore, the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV) Research Working Group on STIs and HIV has drafted this document with the necessary requirements in terms of infrastructure, personnel, technology, specific materials for sample collection, and needs for current therapeutic options. Strict emphasis is placed on the protection of patient privacy. A health care circuit model is outlined too. Additionally, a section has been included on contact tracking and reporting, key elements for the effective prevention and control of STIs. These clinical practice guidelines seek to establish a clinical action framework adapted to the current challenges posed by STIs and HIV in the dermatology, venereology, and multidisciplinary settings.
