BACKGROUND
Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is a standard treatment for intermediate-stage hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The complications of TACE include biliary tract infection, liver dysfunction, tumor lysis syndrome, biloma, partial intestinal obstruction, cerebral lipiodol embolism, . There are few reports about tracheal fistula induced by TACE.
CASE SUMMARY
A 42-year-old man came to our hospital with cough and expectoration for 1 month after TACE for HCC. Laboratory test results showed abnormalities of albumin, hemoglobin, prothrombin time, C-reactive protein, D-dimer, and prothrombin. Culture of both phlegm and liver pus revealed growth of . Computed tomography showed infection in the inferior lobe of the right lung and a low-density lesion with gas in the right liver. Liver ultrasound showed that there was a big hypoechoic liquid lesion without blood flow signal. Drainage for liver abscess by needle puncture under ultrasonic guidance was performed. After 1 month of drainage and anti-infection therapy, the abscess in the liver and the infection in the lung were reduced obviously, and the symptom of expectoration was relieved.
CONCLUSION
Clinicians should be alert to the possibility of complications of liver abscess and tracheal fistula after TACE for HCC. Drainage for liver abscess by needle puncture under ultrasonic guidance could relieve the liver abscess and tracheal fistula.

is a rare species of non-tuberculosis mycobacteria detected in Japan that causes pulmonary infection and cervical lymphadenitis. Here, we report a case of pulmonary infection caused by , which was difficult to distinguish from (Mtb) infection. A 64-year-old Japanese woman with a history of pulmonarytuberculosis had bloody phlegm, a cough, and discomfort in her chest. Chest computed tomography revealed a cavity, infiltration, and a nodule. A smear test for acid-fast bacilli was positive, a complex transcription reverse-transcription concerted (TRC) test was negative, and an Mtb TRC test was withheld because the internal control was negative. After diluting the specimens, the internal control tested positive, and the sample tested negative. We diagnosed pulmonary infection based on a culture test. In conclusion, attention should be paid to the concentration of bacteria in Mtb TRC test samples, ensuring that the internal control provides expected results.

Mucormycosis, a rare but life-threatening fungal infection, poses significant challenges in clinical management, particularly in patients with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. This case report presents the clinical journey of a 44-year-old woman who developed a rapidly progressing Mucorales infection following a domestic knife injury. Her condition, complicated by diabetic ketoacidosis and co-infection with , led to severe hand phlegm and sepsis. INTRODUCTION
We described the perioperative management of a child patient with central core disease for bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage. It is safe to avoid triggering agents (volatile anesthetics and succinylcholine) probably in preventing this appearance of malignant hyperthermia (MH). It is important to recognize potential complications and know how to prevent and manage them in patients with this condition.
PRESENTATION OF CASE
A 5-year-old boy (weight: 8.8 kg; height: 63 cm) presented to the pediatric department after five days of intermittent fever (highest body temperature is 39.3 °C) and cough, and aggravation 1 day, meanwhile he had phlegm in throat but he couldn't cough out. The child was found to have motor retardation at his one-month-old physical examination, then genetic analysis showed central core disease. Bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage was performed for better treatment under the premise of symptomatic treatment.
DISCUSSION
The patients with central core disease are particularly to develop malignant hyperthermia, so adequate precautions are in place to prevent and treat MH before anesthetic induction. The anesthesiologists need to make adequate preoperative anesthesia management strategies to ensure the safety of the child with central core disease for bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage. The child was discharged from the hospital one week after anti-inflammatory and anti-asthmatic treatment.
CONCLUSION
We summarized the anesthetic precautions and management in patients with central core disease, meanwhile we offered some suggestions about anesthetic focus on bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage.
