Review
Asthma is the most common chronic respiratory condition characterized by airway inflammation and obstruction. Our increased knowledge and understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of this condition has widely assisted us in delivering effective therapies. Physicians strive to provide the best treatment modality to achieve symptom-control and minimize the adverse effects of medication use. Nonetheless, patients continue to endure oral complications from the use of asthma medications. As dentists, it is prudent to address these oral complications and promote the oral health of these patients by way of early preventive and therapeutic dental intervention. This must be accomplished by adhering to certain precautionary measures for the sake of avoiding intraoperative problems while optimizing oral care. In this article, we discuss the diagnosis, oral findings, dental care, and emergency management of the asthmatic patients.

Review
The dental operative microscope has been widely employed in the field of dentistry, particularly in endodontics and operative dentistry, resulting in significant advancements in the effectiveness of root canal therapy, endodontic surgery, and dental restoration. However, the improper use of this microscope continues to be common in clinical settings, primarily due to operators' insufficient understanding and proficiency in both the features and established operating procedures of this equipment. In October 2019, Professor Jingping Liang, Vice Chairman of the Society of Cariology and Endodontology, Chinese Stomatological Association, organized a consensus meeting with Chinese experts in endodontics and operative dentistry. The objective of this meeting was to establish a standard operation procedure for the dental operative microscope. Subsequently, a consensus was reached and officially issued. Over the span of about four years, the content of this consensus has been further developed and improved through practical experience.

CONTEXT
The demography of dentist-surgeons in the Centre-Val de Loire region is far inferior to the national average and characterized by many territorial inequalities of health. The aim of this study is to provide details concerning the dental hygienic care-seeking consumption habits in this region based on one dental care treatment, dental scaling, which allows for the mechanical elimination of dental plaque in order to prevent periodontal diseases.
METHOD
This retrospective study is based on data from several databases of the National Health Insurance Cross-Schemes Information System (Sniiram) for the year 2016, analyzed by the Statistical Institute of Liberal Health Professionals.
RESULTS
It can be observed that less scaling treatments have been sought out in this region in comparison with metropolitan France and certain territories which also face difficulties in terms of care treatment offers and scaling treatment inferior to the regional average. Although the care offer is unequally distributed, it seems to have little influence on the number of treatment acts consumed per patient and notably scaling treatments. Inversely, indicators of wealth or poverty do have an impact on treatment consumption HBJD001.
CONCLUSION
This study suggests that the consumption of scaling treatment is independent from the dental care offers, but linked to the social gradient of the population. It points to the deficit in the consumption of this treatment in comparison to metropolitan France. The potential role of the HBJD001 treatment as a marker of the trajectory of preventive health care as well as the necessity of the adjustment of the zones determined by the ARS are put forward.

Oral health is an important part of an individual's overall health; however, dental care is not included in the Canadian public healthcare system. Many Canadians struggle to access dental care, and six million Canadians avoid visiting the dentist each year due to cost.1 The most vulnerable groups include children from low-income families, low-income adults, seniors, indigenous communities, and those with disabilities.1-5 The lack of affordable, equitable, and accessible dental care puts undue strain on emergency departments across the country, as patients desperately seek the care of a physician when they actually need the care of a dental professional.6 Emergency physicians do not have the same expertise or equipment as dentists and, in most cases, are only able to provide temporary symptom relief. This results in an increased reliance on prescription opioids that would otherwise be unnecessary if patients could access the dental care they required.

Review
Oral health care is an integral component of interprofessional collaborative care for children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer. The current review highlights the phases of cancer therapy when dental interventions and palliative care are necessary for children diagnosed with cancer. Contemporary research and review articles pertinent to the oral and dental complications during pediatric cancer therapy and late effects in pediatric cancer survivors were identified by PubMed/MEDLINE search. Best practice guidelines set forth by specialty organizations were also included. The literature search was limited to articles published in the English language. Baseline oral and dental health assessment should occur before initiation of cancer therapy to prevent debilitating complications during the immunosuppressed phase. Counseling on preventive oral health practices is imperative during cancer treatment. Ideally, all dental treatment should be completed before initiation of immunosuppressive therapy. Palliative care and treatment for mucositis, opportunistic oral infections, pain, and other oral complications associated with cancer therapy should be provided as necessary. Survivors of childhood cancers present with unique craniofacial and dental anomalies, dependent on the type of cancer treatment and age at the time of treatment. Pediatric dentists and pediatric oncology teams work collaboratively to screen for and treat dental and oral diseases. As the survival rates of childhood cancers improve, it is essential for the dental profession to provide the individualized care necessary for this vulnerable population. The oral health profession also reinforces health practices congruent with cancer prevention and cancer screening.
