OBJECTIVE
As the number of Magnet hospitals continues to rise in the United States and abroad, the body of literature regarding various outcomes at Magnet hospitals is increasing also. A systematic review examining and compiling the most recent evidence would be invaluable to those seeking to pursue Magnet recognition for their facility. We conducted this systematic review to investigate how Magnet hospital status affects outcomes for nursing professionals, patients, and health care organizations.
METHODS
In January 2018, the databases CINAHL, ProQuest, PubMed, and La Biblioteca Cochrane Plus were searched for relevant studies. The reference lists of selected articles were also examined to identify additional studies. The PRISMA statement was followed, and established methods for systematic review were used to produce a narrative summary. The quality of the reviewed studies was assessed according to the 22-item Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) checklist for observational studies.
RESULTS
Of the 163 studies identified, 21 met the eligibility criteria and are included in this review. On the whole, lower rates of nursing shortages, burnout, job dissatisfaction, and turnover were observed at Magnet hospitals compared with non-Magnet hospitals. The rates of patient mortality, falls, hospital-acquired infections, and pressure ulcers were also lower. Nursing work environments were found to be safer and were associated with a higher quality of care in Magnet hospitals than in non-Magnet hospitals, and Magnet hospitals were found to provide more cost-effective care.
CONCLUSION
This review provides nursing managers and administrators with the most recent evidence demonstrating that Magnet hospitals have better nursing work environments and are associated with better outcomes for nurses, patients, and organizations than non-Magnet hospitals. This evidence should inform future decision-making with regard to pursuing Magnet designation.

A systematic review and meta-analysis.
OBJECTIVE
This study was performed to evaluate the effects of different rehabilitation interventions in spinal cord injury.
SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA
Several activity-based interventions have been widely applied in spinal cord injury in the past, but the effects of these rehabilitation exercises are controversial.
METHODS
Publications were searched from databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, the database of the U.S. National Institutes of Health and World Health Organization International Clinical Trials Registry Platform) using the searching terms like spinal cord injury, transcranial magnetic stimulation, functional electrical stimulation, activity-based therapy, and robotic-assisted locomotor training. Randomized controlled trials and controlled trials were included. The primary outcomes included functional upper/lower extremity independence, walking capacity, spasticity, and life quality of individuals with spinal cord injury. Meta-analysis was performed using Revman 5.0 software.
RESULTS
Thirty-one articles were included. Meta-analysis showed that transcranial magnetic stimulation improved walking speed (95% confidence interval [CI] 0.01, 0.16) and lower extremity function (95% CI 1.55, 7.27); functional electrical stimulation significantly increased upper extremity independence (95% CI 0.37, 5.48). Robotic-assisted treadmill training improved lower extremity function (95% CI 3.44, 6.56) compared with related controls.
CONCLUSION
Activity-based intervention like transcranial magnetic stimulation, functional electrical stimulation, and robotic-assisted treadmill training are effective in improving function in individuals with spinal cord injury.Level of Evidence: 1.

AIM
This systematic review aimed to compare different attachment systems used in mandibular implant supported overdentures by assessing outcomes such as prosthodontic maintenance and complication, peri implant tissue changes, retention, and patient satisfaction for optimum selection of attachment system.
SETTINGS AND DESIGN
This systematic review conducted following Preferred Reporting Items for the Systematic Review and Meta Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
A systematic electronic literature search was conducted through PubMed, The Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (Central), and Science direct. A hand search was also performed for individual journals and reference lists of selected studies. Randomized controlled clinical trials and crossover clinical trials from 2010 to 2020 with follow up of more than 1 year were included. The Cochrane Collaboration's tool was used for assessing the risk of bias of included studies.
STATISTICAL ANALYSIS USED
The statistical meta analysis was performed using Review Manager (RevMan) [computer program]. Version 5.4. Copenhagen: The Nordic Cochrane Centre, The Cochrane Collaboation, 2020.
RESULTS
Six studies that met the inclusion criteria possess the low risk of bias with follow up of more than 1 year were included in this systematic review. Out of four outcomes, meta analysis was performed for prosthodontic maintenance and peri implant tissue changes. Due to the limited availability of data, retention and patient satisfaction were reviewed systematically without meta analysis. The result of meta analysis for ball versus magnet attachment showed statistically significant differences in prosthodontic complications and maintenance, and ball attachment reported fewer complications than the locator attachment (risk ratio [RR] =0.55, confidence interval [CI] =95%, P = 0.03). Peri implant tissue changes were analyzed in the included studies as probing depth and marginal bone loss. The result of meta analysis for probing depth showed no statistically significant difference between bar versus telescopic type of attachment (RR = 0.20, CI = 95%, P = 0.74). The meta analysis results for marginal bone loss showed no statistically significant difference between bar versus telescopic type of attachment (mean difference = 0.35, CI = 95%, P = 0.10).
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the current review that bar attachment provided the most superior retention. The telescopic attachment system not only showed the most favorable patient's satisfaction but also reported the least peri implant mucosal changes. The ball attachment system is a favorable choice for limited inter arch space and parallel implant placement.

OBJECTIVES
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies comparing bipolar and unipolar depression characterize pathophysiological differences between these conditions. However, it is difficult to interpret the current literature due to differences in MRI modalities, analysis methods, and study designs.
METHODS
We conducted a systematic review of publications using MRI to compare individuals with bipolar and unipolar depression. We grouped studies according to MRI modality and task design. Within the discussion, we critically evaluated and summarized the functional MRI research and then further complemented these findings by reviewing the structural MRI literature.
RESULTS
We identified 88 MRI publications comparing participants with bipolar depression and unipolar depressive disorder. Compared to individuals with unipolar depression, participants with bipolar disorder exhibited heightened function, increased within network connectivity, and reduced grey matter volume in salience and central executive network brain regions. Group differences in default mode network function were less consistent but more closely associated with depressive symptoms in participants with unipolar depression but distractibility in bipolar depression.
CONCLUSIONS
When comparing mood disorder groups, the neuroimaging evidence suggests that individuals with bipolar disorder are more influenced by emotional and sensory processing when responding to their environment. In contrast, depressive symptoms and neurofunctional response to emotional stimuli were more closely associated with reduced central executive function and less adaptive cognitive control of emotionally oriented brain regions in unipolar depression. Researchers now need to replicate and refine network-level trends in these heterogeneous mood disorders and further characterize MRI markers associated with early disease onset, progression, and recovery.

Research utilizing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been crucial to the understanding of the neuropathological mechanisms behind and clinical identification of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). MRI modalities show patterns of brain damage that discriminate AD from other brain illnesses and brain abnormalities that are associated with risk of conversion to AD from MCI and other behavioural outcomes. This review discusses the application of various MRI techniques to and their clinical usefulness in AD and MCI. MRI modalities covered include structural MRI, diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), arterial spin labelling (ASL), magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), and functional MRI (fMRI). There is much evidence supporting the validity of MRI as a biomarker for these disorders; however, only traditional structural imaging is currently recommended for routine use in clinical settings. Future research is needed to warrant the inclusion for more advanced MRI methodology in forthcoming revisions to diagnostic criteria for AD and MCI.

Magnet hospitals are recognized for quality patient outcomes and nursing excellence. It was aimed to examine the effects of Magnet hospitals on mortality rate. Searches for this review were carried out using the PubMed, Scopus, and CINAHL databases without any year limitation. Search terms included Magnet hospitals, non-Magnet hospitals, and mortality. Inclusion criteria were: The identified 58 articles published in international journals, and 13 of those articles that met the inclusion criteria were included in this review. This systematic review adhered to the PRISMA guideline. Articles meeting the research criteria were evaluated for methodological quality with the Joanna Briggs Institute Meta-Analysis of Statistics Assessment and Review Instrument (JBI-MAStARI) Critical Appraisal Tool. The research types used of the included studies were descriptive comparative research (n = 8), cohort study (n = 4), and retrospective, two-stage panel design (n = 1). Three descriptive comparative studies found that there was no difference in the mortality rates of Magnet hospitals and non-Magnet hospitals. By contrast, five descriptive comparative studies and five longitudinal studies determined that mortality rates were lower in Magnet hospitals. Overall, the findings of this systematic review indicated that Magnet hospitals are associated with lower rates of mortality. Considering the organizational consequences of mortality such as quality and cost savings, this systematic review provides significant contributions to hospital executives, as well as the nurse-clinicians, whether or not to obtain magnet status.

To evaluate the survival rate, tissue response, and patient satisfaction of different attachments used in implant overdenture.
SETTINGS AND DESIGN

MATERIALS AND METHODS
Electronic search of peer-review articles published between 2001 and 2019 assessing the attachments used for implant-supported overdentures was done according to PRISMA Guidelies. The review evaluated sixteen articles related to survival of the attachments, the reaction of the soft and hard tissues along with repair and maintenance of the attachments, and overall performance of the overdenture attachments.
STATISTICAL ANALYSIS USED
There is statistically significant heterogeneity (Q =374.7403, df = 15, and < 0.0001). The statistics of fixed-effect model reported an MD of - 0.0880 (95% CI = -0.1536; 0.0225).
RESULT
The review evaluated the 16 articles that met with the inclusion and search criteria. The studies were the combination of bar and ball attachments and their subtypes, magnetic and bar attachments, and locator in combination with other attachments. The meta-analysis of combined 16 studies reported acceptable heterogeneity among 16 studies (I 2 = 96%) and reported to be statistically significant ( < 0.01).
CONCLUSION
The survival rate of attachments was in the range of 95.8%-97.5% for bar, 96.2%-100% for ball, 90%-92% for magnet and locator attachments were in the range of 97% after a mean follow-up period of 3 years. The bar attachments reported moderate tissue reaction in the form of mucosal changes, gingival inflammation, and bone resorption. The locator attachments require higher maintenance and repair. The magnetic attachments produce higher bone resorption and readily displace under functional force. Patient satisfaction and compliance was higher for ball, locator, and bar attachments as well as low for magnetic attachment. Thus, the ball and locator attachments excellently perform in terms of survival rate, tissue response, and patient satisfaction.

OBJECTIVES
To systematically review the occurrence of magnet or receiver/stimulator displacement following cochlear implant (CI) placement complication and evaluate the existing literature on this topic.
METHODS
A systematic literature search was conducted using PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Virtual Health Library (VHL), and Cochrane Library. Original studies reporting cases of magnet or receiver-stimulator migration occurring as a complication after CI placement were included. The quality of the included studies was evaluated using the National Institutes of Health Quality Assessment Tool for observational studies and CARE checklist for case studies.
RESULTS
A total of 36 studies, including 6469 patients, were included. Magnet migration was reported in 82 (1.3%) patients, while receiver/stimulator was reported in 4 (0.1%) cases. The cause of magnet migration was identified in 78 cases; MRI-induced movement was the most frequently reported cause (n=43, 55.1%), followed by head trauma (n=25, 32.1%). A total of 20 studies involving 35 patients with magnet migration performed skull radiography to diagnose magnet migration. Revision/exploratory surgery with surgical repositioning or replacement was the most frequent management procedure (n=46).
CONCLUSIONS
Further research on magnet pocket design and standard protocols for MRI in CI users is needed. Early diagnosis of magnet migration and instant referral to specialized CI centers is necessary for proper management and prevention of major complications. PROSPERO REG. NO. CRD: 42020204514.

BACKGROUND
Magnetically controlled capsule endoscopy (MCCE) is a non-invasive, painless, comfortable, and safe equipment to diagnose gastrointestinal diseases (GID), partially overcoming the shortcomings of conventional endoscopy and wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE). With advancements in technology, the main technical parameters of MCCE have continuously been improved, and MCCE has become more intelligent.
OBJECTIVES
The aim of this systematic review was to summarize the research progress of MCCE and artificial intelligence (AI) in the diagnosis and treatment of GID.
DATA SOURCES AND METHODS
We conducted a systematic search of PubMed and EMBASE for published studies on GID detection of MCCE, physical factors related to MCCE imaging quality, the application of AI in aiding MCCE, and its additional functions. We synergistically reviewed the included studies, extracted relevant data, and made comparisons.
RESULTS
MCCE was confirmed to have the same performance as conventional gastroscopy and WCE in detecting common GID, while it lacks research in detecting early gastric cancer (EGC). The body position and cleanliness of the gastrointestinal tract are the main factors affecting imaging quality. The applications of AI in screening intestinal diseases have been comprehensive, while in the detection of common gastric diseases such as ulcers, it has been developed. MCCE can perform some additional functions, such as observations of drug behavior in the stomach and drug damage to the gastric mucosa. Furthermore, it can be improved to perform a biopsy.
CONCLUSION
This comprehensive review showed that the MCCE technology has made great progress, but studies on GID detection and treatment by MCCE are in the primary stage. Further studies are required to confirm the performance of MCCE.

INTRODUCTION
Dysmenorrhoea may begin soon after the menarche, after which it often improves with age, or it may originate later in life after the onset of an underlying causative condition. Dysmenorrhoea is common, and in up to 20% of women it may be severe enough to interfere with daily activities.
METHODS AND OUTCOMES
We conducted a systematic review and aimed to answer the following clinical question: What are the effects of treatments for primary dysmenorrhoea? We searched: Medline, Embase, The Cochrane Library, and other important databases up to January 2010 (Clinical Evidence reviews are updated periodically, please check our website for the most up-to-date version of this review). We included harms alerts from relevant organisations such as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
RESULTS
We found 35 systematic reviews, RCTs, or observational studies that met our inclusion criteria. We performed a GRADE evaluation of the quality of evidence for interventions.
CONCLUSIONS
In this systematic review we present information relating to the effectiveness and safety of the following interventions: acupressure, acupuncture, aspirin, behavioural interventions, contraceptives (combined oral), fish oil, herbal remedies, magnets, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, paracetamol, progestogens (intrauterine), spinal manipulation, surgical interruption of pelvic nerve pathways, thiamine, toki-shakuyaku-san, topical heat, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), vitamin B12, and vitamin E.
