BACKGROUND
Pulmonary papillary adenoma is a rare benign tumor in the periphery of the lung. We report a 66-year-old female patient with a tumor in the lower lobe of the right lung and present the clinicopathological features and review the literature.
CASE PRESENTATION
A tumor in the lower lobe of the right lung was found incidentally on chest X-ray during the physical examination of the patient, and the patient occasionally had a dry cough that was not treated. The tumor was clearly demarcated and lobulated on CT scan. After 2 years of follow-up, the boundary of the tumor was still clear, with more lobulations and the enhanced scan showed uniform enhancement. Grossly, the tumor had a granular cut surface and was easy to fall off, which was helpful for the diagnosis of papillary adenoma during intraoperative frozen examination. Under the microscope, most areas of the tumor had the typical morphological structure of papillary adenoma. However, the tumor locally protruded into the surrounding lung tissue, accompanied by crowded cells and high cell proliferation index. It was suggested that this case of papillary adenoma had malignant potential and needed active intervention and treatment.
CONCLUSION
Pulmonary papillary adenoma is a rare epithelial tumor with malignant potential. Surgical treatment should be performed as soon as possible after diagnosis to prevent malignant transformation.

Review
Papillary adenoma of the lung is a rather rare tumor. We will present a case of papillary adenoma in the lung with malignant transformation in a 65-year-old male patient. A high dense soft tissue mass was detected in the lateral segment of the right middle lobe by CT examination. Cytologically, the tumor contained the benign cells similar to normal alveolar epithelium and the malignant cells which were significantly enlarged and irregular, crowded, or overlapping. Immunohistochemical staining showed that the epithelial cells were diffusely positive for TTF-1, napsin-A, and CK7, but were negative for p63, p40, CK5/6, CgA, Syn, CD56, and TG. The Ki67 index was about 5%. All of these evidences indicated that it was a case of papillary adenoma with malignant transformation. Thus, it should be noted that more active treatment measures should be taken to treat pulmonary papillary adenoma.

BACKGROUND
Primary Seminal Vesicle (SV) tumours are a rare entity, with most SV masses representing invasion of the SV by malignancy originating in an adjacent organ, most often the prostate. Previously reported primary SV epithelial tumours have included adenocarcinoma and cystadenoma, with limited prior reports of inracystic papillary structures.
CASE PRESENTATION
A 35-year-old male presented with azoospermia, intermittent macroscopic haematuria, and mild right iliac fossa and groin pain. A papillary appearing seminal vesicle mass was found on imaging and seminal vesicoscopy. The mass was robotically excised with diagnosis of benign cystic papillary adenoma made.
CONCLUSION
In this manuscript we describe a rare case of a benign cystic papillary adenoma of the seminal vesicle, a unique histological entity differentiated from cystadenoma of the Seminal Vesicle by its papillary component.

We studied in 14 patients a distinctive eccrine sweat gland tumor that we have termed papillary eccrine adenoma. There was a majority of black patients, and the tumors were located most often on the distal extremities. Eleven patients were followed up for an average of 35 months after excision of the tumor. No tumor metastasized but one recurred, and since re-excision the patient has been followed up 30 months further regrowth. Although previously regarded sometimes as malignant, the papillary eccrine adenoma is considered benign on the basis of our experience. Excision, with assurance from pathologic examination that the surgical margins are free of tumor, is the treatment of choice. Recognition of the neoplasm is based on the microscopic appearance of a pattern of structures resembling eccrine ducts, usually dilated, associated with intraluminal papillations.

We present a rare case of solitary pulmonary papillary adenoma. A man consulted our hospital because of abnormal chest radiography finding. Chest computed tomography demonstrated a well-defined, homogeneous nodular shadow 11 mm in size at the left lower lobe. The previous physician had considered it to be an old benign inflammatory granuloma and had kept it under observation. This mass was followed through chest radiographs at annual medical checkups for 4 years. In 2006, enlargement and lobulation were noted. We performed thoracoscopic partial resection of the left lower lobe. On postoperative pathology examination, the nodule was found to be a circumscribed nodule consisting of a papillary growth of cuboidal to low-columnar epithelial cells lining the surface of a fibrovascular stroma. The histological features were consistent with pulmonary papillary adenoma. Only 20 cases of pulmonary papillary adenoma have been reported in the literature.

Papillary eccrine adenoma is a rare benign eccrine tumor of the skin occasionally difficult to differentiate from tubular apocrine adenoma. A new case of this eccrine lesion with immunohistochemical characterization is reported and a review of the literature emphasizing the differential features between these two entities is made.

Review
We report a case of syringocystadenoma papilliferum (SCAP) combined with tubular papillary adenoma (TPA) arising on the chest of a 45-year-old Japanese woman. Histopathological examination revealed the characteristic findings of SCAP in the superficial part of the lesion and those of TPA in the deeper part. We reviewed the English literature about this combination. SCAP and TPA have the same cellular components, but show differences of the general structure. The combination of these two neoplasms is more frequent than expected by most dermatopathologists or pathologists. This combination is frequently seen in patients with nevus sebaceus (NS), but it is also found in patients without NS.

Review
Pulmonary papillary adenomas are rare neoplasms that predominantly occur in the periphery of the lung. We describe a 24-year-old male with a 6.0-cm spherical mass found incidentally at the periphery of the left upper lobe by imaging. Enucleation of the neoplasm was performed with intraoperative frozen section analysis. The tumor histologically showed papillary proliferations containing fibrovascular cores lined by a single layer of tumor cells that lacked atypia, mitoses, or necrosis. The histologic features were consistent with a pulmonary papillary adenoma. Pulmonary papillary adenoma was previously considered to be a benign entity. However, because of its invasive growth pattern, it has been suggested that this neoplasm has intermediate malignant potential. The clinicopathologic features and differential diagnosis of this unusual neoplasm is discussed with a review of the English literature.

Review
Bile duct adenomas are rare tumours that arise more frequently in the distal extrahepatic biliary tree. We report the case of a papillary adenoma arising at the junction of the common and left hepatic ducts and review the available literature on this rare entity. A 73-year-old lady presented with a history of mild weight loss and vague upper abdominal pain. Routine blood tests revealed an elevated c-glutaryl transferase, and an ultrasound scan showed gross dilatation of the intrahepatic and extrahepatic biliary tree. Subsequent radiological imaging confirmed biliary dilatation and identified tumour within the left and common hepatic ducts with the provisional diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma. At laparotomy, there was no evidence of extraductal tumour, and choledochoscopy showed a papillary lesion within the common hepatic and proximal left hepatic ducts. The tumour was excised and the biliary tree was reconstructed. Histological evaluation of the resected specimen confirmed a papillary adenoma with mild dysplasia. This case illustrates that not all biliary tumours are cholangiocarcinomas and referral to a hepatopancreaticobiliary unit for investigation and treatment is mandatory for all cases of obstructive jaundice.
