Pseudoaneurysms in the external carotid artery system are rare, mostly reported in the superficial temporal and facial arteries. The bilateral sagittal split osteotomy has a low incidence of complications requiring emergency interventions. We report the case of a patient with acute bleeding from a pseudoaneurysm of the inferior alveolar artery diagnosed by angiography and treated successfully by super-selective embolization.

Popliteal artery pseudoaneurysms are rare and are generally associated with local trauma, such as orthopaedic surgery or expansile bone lesions in the popliteal fossa. The authors describe a case of popliteal artery pseudoaneurysm in a 24-year-old man. A thorough workup revealed no history of trauma, invasive procedures, vasculitis or any other factors that could constitute a probable cause of the pseudoaneurysm. However, as the patient practices running, it is not possible to rule out minor previous trauma that has not been noticed.

INTRODUCTION
Hepatic artery pseudoaneurysms are a rare complication of biliary tract surgery and have an associated mortality that approaches 50%.
CASE REPORT
A case of massive haemobilia caused by a hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm several months following laparoscopic cholecystectomy is described.
DISCUSSION
It was successfully managed by angiographic embolisation, with the patient making a complete recovery.

Pulmonary artery aneurysms and pseudoaneurysms are rare vascular anomalies in children that can lead to massive hemoptysis resulting in severe morbidity and even mortality. High level of clinical suspicion, timely diagnosis, and prompt management are important for a better outcome. Here, we report a case of a 14-year-old adolescent with β-thalassemia major who presented with life-threatening hemoptysis due to pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm and was successfully treated with coil embolization.

We present the case of a male patient on hemodialysis with a ruptured pseudoaneurysm in a brachiocephalic arteriovenous fistula (AVF) and with edema and pain in the right arm attended to in the emergency department. An ultrasonographic scan identified a ruptured pseudoaneurysm with hemorrhagic infiltration of the arm muscular tissues. We performed a percutaneous ultrasound-guided thrombin injection with an angioplasty balloon inflated in the lumen of the AVF achieving the pseudoaneurysm thrombosis. After 6 months of follow-up, the patient's arteriovenous access remains functional. Percutaneous ultrasound-guided thrombin injection assisted by an angioplasty balloon may be a good alternative to surgical intervention in the treatment of symptomatic growing pseudoaneurysms of the arteriovenous fistula with the benefit of preserving the vascular access.

Left ventricular pseudoaneurysms that develop in the setting of infective endocarditis are believed to result from remodeling of extravalvular abscesses. The high pressure generated by the left ventricle is thought to dissect into the abscess causing it to form a characteristic sac-like protuberance readily recognized echocardiographically. Left ventricular pseudoaneurysms most often arise from abscesses in the mitral-aortic intervalvular fibrosa and protrude external to the aorta. Less often, as described herein, they arise from abscesses external the posterior mitral annulus and project into the posterior interventricular groove. Perforation may result in camo-cameral or aorto-cameral fistula formation, as well as fistulous communication with the pericardial space.

Left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) are surgically implanted mechanical support devices utilized with increasing frequency as a bridge to myocardial recovery, destination therapy, and heart transplantation. While the use of such devices in patients with advanced heart failure has shown significant survival benefits and improved quality of life, they bear their own risks and complications. Bleeding, infection, pump thrombosis, and stroke are just some of the serious complications associated with LVADs. LVAD-associated pseudoaneurysms are rare, with prior reports of occurrence at the left ventricular apex and at the anastomosis site of the outflow graft to the ascending aorta. Typically, this device-related complication requires surgical repair and, if at all feasible, heart transplantation. However, in cases of difficult anatomy, unfavorable position, and significant comorbidities, surgery may be contraindicated due to high surgical risk. This case portrays a patient suffering from a left ventricular pseudoaneurysm after HeartMate-III implantation that was not amenable to surgical repair due to heightened surgical risk. We document the first pseudoaneurysm associated with the HeartMate-III in available literature and describe a novel management strategy of documented nonoperative course of LVAD-associated pseudoaneurysm, with the patient surviving 56+ months with medical optimization and management.

Using autologous common femoral artery and external oblique muscle fascia is a simple and reliable option for repairing infected aortic pseudoaneurysms. Reoperation of infected pseudoaneurysms is challenging and requires secure aortic repair with complete infection eradication. Here, we report two cases of infected pseudoaneurysms in the ascending aorta cannulation site after cardiac surgeries. Common femoral arteries and fascia were harvested in the same lesion as repair materials. The aortic pseudoaneurysms were repaired under deep hypothermic circulatory arrest. Femoral arterial patches were reinforced with circumferential aponeurosis strips. There was no infection recurrence or repair site dilatation in the long-term follow up of both patients.

Giant hepatic pseudoaneurysms are rare after injury. We report a case of a 20-year-old male, post gunshot injury to his right upper quadrant of the abdomen with delayed blood loss. CTA of the abdomen demonstrated a 6.5 cm right hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm. This was successfully embolized with balloon assisted trans-arterial thrombin injection.
