The main task of the site evaluation report for nuclear installation concerning nuclear safety is the protection of the public and environment from the radiological consequences of radioactive releases in both cases of normal operation and accident conditions. The atmosphere is the most important pathway to be considered in the assessment of the environmental impact of radioactive materials released from nuclear facilities. The present study is a comprehensive investigation of environmental assessments for the dose calculation model resulting from routine operation NPPs of 1000 Mw (e). The procedure consists of different parts, beginning with the manipulation of collected meteorological data such as wind speed and direction, temperature, incoming solar radiation and utilizing a set of empirical formulae for evaluating night solar radiation emitted from the ground, and then evaluating hourly stability classes and joint frequency distribution of winds by developing code. The dilution factor was evaluated using computer code (XOQDOQ code). Finally, the radiation dose assessments resulting from the routine operation of NPPs were calculated. The processes are adapted with IAEA recommendations documents, safety guides, and ICRP recommendations. The results reveal that there is no detectable value that affects the people surrounding the site nor the environmental area concerning low population zone or exclusion area.

INTRODUCTION AND IMPORTANCE
Traumatic pelvic fractures are complex injuries often associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Among the complications of pelvic trauma, rupture of the ovarian vein represents a rare yet potentially life-threatening event. Prompt recognition and appropriate management are essential to mitigate the risk of hemorrhage and associated complications.
CASE PRESENTATION
We present a case of a 70-year-old woman who sustained a traumatic pelvic fracture following a skiing accident, resulting in rupture of the left ovarian vein. The patient came with the ambulance in the emergency room with lower abdominal tenderness, pelvic pain, but no signs of hemorrhagic shock. Imaging studies confirmed the diagnosis of a pelvic fracture with venous leakage of the left ovarian vein.
CLINICAL DISCUSSION
This review synthesizes recent insights into the diagnosis, management, and complications associated with pelvic fractures, with an emphasis on optimizing patient outcomes through a multidisciplinary approach. The analysis incorporates findings from key studies, including those by Wong and Bucknill, Ma Y et al., and Tullington and Blecker, which advocate for the use of advanced diagnostic tools like CT scans and systematic evaluation processes. These studies underline the necessity of precise classification systems such as the Tile classification to guide treatment and predict outcomes.
CONCLUSION
Management of traumatic pelvic fractures with associated vascular injuries requires a multidisciplinary approach involving trauma surgeons, interventional radiologists, and critical care specialists. Early recognition, accurate diagnosis, and timely intervention are paramount in optimizing outcomes and reducing the risk of mortality. This case underscores the importance of prompt intervention and highlights the challenges associated with traumatic pelvic fractures and rupture of the ovarian vein. Further research is warranted to enhance our understanding of optimal management strategies and improve outcomes for patients with these complex injuries.

Pediatric Surgery International Jul 2024To present the functional results after a transanal proximal rectosigmoidectomy in patients with severe idiopathic constipation in which medical treatment has failed.
PURPOSE
To present the functional results after a transanal proximal rectosigmoidectomy in patients with severe idiopathic constipation in which medical treatment has failed.
METHODS
Patients with severe idiopathic constipation who underwent transanal proximal rectosigmoidectomy (TPRS) at Children's Hospital Colorado between June 2019 and March 2024 were included in the study. We compared multiple pre- and post-operative outcome measures and the patient's bowel regimen before and after resection.
RESULTS
Fourteen patients underwent TPRS, 10 of whom were male. The average age at the time of surgery was 10.1 years (range 5-19). Seven patients have moderate to severe autism. Constipation-related clinic visits, family calls, procedural intervention, emergency room visits, and hospitalizations notably decreased frequency after TPRS. Laxative dosages and enema volume requirements were also reduced after surgery. Before surgery, all the patients suffered from daily fecal accidents, while post-operatively, all were completely free of stool accidents.
CONCLUSION
In our experience, for patients who suffer from severe medically refractory idiopathic constipation, TPRS has provided improvement in their symptoms and decreased the complications inherent to this chronic disease. Parents and patients attest to a profound positive transformation in their quality of life after surgery.

The main causes of injuries to the lower and middle third of the facial skeleton are traffic accidents, accidental falls, assaults, and sport. Regarding sports-related maxillofacial trauma, an 8-year retrospective study was conducted at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome, Italy. In all, 329 patients were included, of which we analyzed 35 patients with sports-related mandibular fractures. Specifically, we assessed the type of mandibular fracture reported, age, gender, number of fracture lines, association with other maxillofacial fractures, and treatment options. The causes of sports-related injuries are often multifactorial. Therefore, the aim of our study was to understand the correlation between the type of sport practiced and the most frequently reported pattern of mandibular fracture, highlighting how, depending on the sport, the mechanism of action is different and may correlate with a specific type of mandibular fracture.

Indonesian laws mandate that every employer should provide health insurance and work accident insurance to their employees. Nevertheless, there is a significant gap in the coverage of employer-sponsored insurance among Indonesian workers. This study examines the coverage of employer-sponsored insurance and work accident insurance and analyses the characteristics of the uninsured working population in Indonesia. We analysed nationally representative cross-sectional data from the National Labour Force Survey (NLFS) conducted between 2018-2022. The primary dependent variable was the provision of health insurance and work accident insurance by employers. The independent variables included having any physical disabilities, number of working hours, duration of employment, labour union membership, earning at least the provincial minimum wage, having a written contract, and working in high risk jobs. Logistic regression was employed using the R statistical software. The findings indicate that coverage of employer-sponsored health insurance is low in Indonesia - ranging from 36.1% in 2018 to 38.4% in 2022. Workers with a written contract, earning at least the provincial minimum wage, were members of a labour union, employed for at least 5 years, and working more than 40 hours a week were more likely to be insured. By contrast, workers who had physical disabilities or were employed in high risk jobs were less likely to be insured. Our study concludes that having a written employment contract is the single most influential factor that explains the provision of employer-sponsored health insurance in Indonesia. The country's labour laws should therefore formalise the provision of written employment contracts for all workers regardless of the type and nature of work. The existing laws on health insurance and work accident insurance should be enforced to ensure that employers meet their constitutionally mandated obligation of providing these types of insurance to their workers, particularly those engaged in high risk jobs.

Odontomas, often found adjacent to impacted teeth, are tumors of abnormal tissue morphology arising from the tooth germ and are usually asymptomatic. They are often found by accident on X-ray images, and the eruption of permanent teeth is often caused by odontomas. In most cases, the tooth is extracted with the permanent tooth or orthodontic treatment is performed after extraction. However, the criteria are not clear. We encountered two cases of dental eruption in which permanent teeth, which originally seemed to be suitable for orthodontic treatment, spontaneously erupted after odontoma removal. It is necessary to examine the indications and timing of tooth extraction.

BACKGROUND
Alcohol plays a significant role in road traffic accidents in Ghana. However, little is known about the perspectives of victims who suffer road traffic accidents, RTAs, and the extent to which alcohol use disorder is involved.
METHODOLOGY
We conducted a three-month cross-sectional study in a teaching hospital involving 102 patients involved in a road accident and presented to the hospital's emergency. The Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test, AUDIT, was used to assess for Alcohol Use Disorder, AUD, at a score of 8. In addition, we used open-ended questionnaires to assess their perception of alcohol use and road accidents.
RESULTS
Of the 102 respondents, 75% were males, and 60% were between 15 and 35 years old. About 69% of respondents admitted to using alcohol, while 31%, including a single female, screened positive for alcohol use disorder. A significant majority of about 90% of respondents believed in some myths of alcohol use in Ghana, and a similar percentage were aware of the risks alcohol use posed to road use. Over 30% of respondents, mainly drivers or riders, had used alcohol within 12 hours of the accident. All but three respondents knew alcohol-induced aggression and poor coordination of movements. A similar number of respondents knew alcohol made people cross roads carelessly and were hyperactive or disinhibited.
CONCLUSION
Alcohol use and alcohol use disorder are significantly high among persons presenting with RTA to the emergency. Knowledge of the deleterious effects of alcohol is high, yet their behavior did not reflect the knowledge. Therefore, a significant reduction in RTA can be achieved by enforcing blood alcohol concentration limits for road users and intensive education to the populace.

OBJECTIVES
The purpose of the systematic review was to synthesize literature on eating disorders (ED) and non-interpersonal traumatic events (NTE) and consolidate the reported prevalence of NTE in patients with an ED.
METHODS
The literature search was performed in Embase, PsycInfo, and PubMed. The keywords in the search were "eating disorder," "trauma" and "non-interpersonal," using index-terms and free-search keywords related to NTE and ED. The PRISMA guidelines were followed. Relevant studies were screened using Rayyan.
RESULTS
Of the 16 studies included in the quantitative synthesis, five overall types of NTE were identified: , , , and . Findings provided tentative evidence for and being more prevalent in patients suffering from an ED compared to controls. The remaining subtypes of NTE did not show a higher prevalence in patients with an ED when compared to controls. Findings also suggest that those with binge/purge subtype of anorexia nervosa (AN) had a higher prevalence of non-interpersonal traumatic events compared to the restrictive subtype of AN.
DISCUSSION
This systematic review provided a clear synthesis of previous findings related to NTE among patients with an ED. Noteworthy, is that many studies do not take into account if the trauma happened prior or after to ED onset, which may affect the association. Furthermore, the body of research on NTE in patients with ED is exceedingly limited, and more research is needed.

Review
Radiological science and nuclear technology have made great strides in the twenty-first century, with wide-ranging applications in various fields, including energy, medicine, and industry. However, those developments have been accompanied by the inherent risks of exposure to nuclear radiation, which is a source of concern owing to its potentially adverse effects on human health and safety and which is of particular relevance to medical personnel who may be exposed to certain cancers associated with low-dose radiation in their working environment. While medical radiation workers have seen a decrease in their occupational exposure since the 1950s thanks to improved measures for radiation protection, a concerning lack of understanding and awareness persists among medical professionals regarding these potential hazards and the required safety precautions. This issue is further compounded by insufficient capabilities in emergency response. This highlights the urgent need to strengthen radiation safety education and training to ensure the well-being of medical staff who play a critical role in radiological and nuclear emergencies. This review examines the health hazards of nuclear radiation to healthcare workers and the awareness and willingness and education of healthcare workers on radiation protection, calling for improved training programs and emergency response skills to mitigate the risks of radiation exposure in the occupational environment, providing a catalyst for future enhancement of radiation safety protocols and fostering of a culture of safety in the medical community.

INTRODUCTION
Acute and long-term health impacts from flooding related toxic chemical releases are a significant local health concern and can disproportionately impact communities with vulnerable populations; reliable release data are needed to quantify this hazard.
METHODS
In this paper, we analyze US Federal Emergency Management Agency designated floodplain data and US Environmental Protection Agency Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) data to determine if geographically manipulated databases adhere to Benford's Law.
RESULTS
We investigated multiple variants and discovered pollution releases adhere to Benford's Law and tests which thereby validates the self-reported toxic release dataset.
DISCUSSION
We find that Benford's Law applies to self-reported toxic chemical release and disposal data, indicating a lack of widespread data errors or manipulation.
