BACKGROUND
Molecular imaging is pivotal in staging and response assessment of children with neuroblastoma (NB). [I]-metaiodobenzylguanidine (mIBG) is the standard imaging method; however, it is characterised by low spatial resolution, time-consuming acquisition procedures and difficult interpretation. Many PET catecholaminergic radiotracers have been proposed as a replacement for [I]-mIBG, however they have not yet made it into clinical practice. We aimed to review the available literature comparing head-to-head [I]-mIBG with the most common PET catecholaminergic radiopharmaceuticals.
METHODS
We searched the PubMed database for studies performing a head-to-head comparison between [I]-mIBG and PET radiopharmaceuticals including meta-hydroxyephedrine ([C]C-HED), F-18F-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine ([F]DOPA) [I]mIBG and Meta-[18F]fluorobenzylguanidine ([F]mFBG). Review articles, preclinical studies, small case series (< 5 subjects), case reports, and articles not in English were excluded. From each study, the following characteristics were extracted: bibliographic information, technical parameters, and the sensitivity of the procedure according to a patient-based analysis (PBA) and a lesion-based analysis (LBA).
RESULTS
Ten studies were selected: two regarding [C]C-HED, four [F]DOPA, one [I]mIBG, and three [F]mFBG. These studies included 181 patients (range 5-46). For the PBA, the superiority of the PET method was reported in two out of ten studies (both using [F]DOPA). For LBA, PET detected significantly more lesions than scintigraphy in seven out of ten studies.
CONCLUSIONS
PET/CT using catecholaminergic tracers shows superior diagnostic performance than mIBG scintigraphy. However, it is still unknown if such superiority can influence clinical decision-making. Nonetheless, the PET examination appears promising for clinical practice as it offers faster image acquisition, less need for sedation, and a single-day examination.

Young adults presenting with non-traumatic hip pain may suffer from acetabular retroversion (AR). The previous studies have suggested that patient positioning during the radiographic procedure, that is, pelvic tilt and/or rotation may alter the appearance of the acetabulum. The purpose of this systematic review was to explore and collate existing literature on the correlation between pelvic positioning in weight-bearing anterior-posterior radiographs and the radiographic signs of AR, namely, the ischial spine sign (ISS) the cross-over sign (COS) and posterior wall sign (PWS). The preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis guidelines were followed. MEDLINE, EMBASE, PubMed, The Cochrane Library, and CINAHL were searched. The search string included the following keywords: Pelvic, tilt, rotation, positioning, inclination, incidence, AR, ISS, COS, PWS, and acetabular version. Two authors independently screened the studies identified in the search, extracted data, and critically assessed included studies for quality using the Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies 2 tool. In total, 2289 publications were screened. Fifteen articles were found eligible for full-text screening, and four articles met the inclusion criteria. Although the studies varied methodologically, all reported that pelvic positioning impacted radiographic signs of AR investigated. One study suggested that more than 9° of pelvic inclination would result in positive COS. No other benchmark values on the degree of pelvic tilt and rotation that would compromise the diagnosis of AR, that is, the detection of ISS, COS, and PWS were reported. At present, literature reporting on the correlation between patient positioning and AR is sparse. Four studies met the inclusion criteria, and they all reported a link between pelvic positioning and the radiographic appearance of AR.

Due to the clear depiction of facial aesthetics and other craniofacial parameters, portraiture photography (PP) is becoming more and more necessary in modern clinical practice. The studies chosen for this review's inclusion looked at how PP affected the orthodontic treatment and diagnostic procedure on the subjects who were watched in the studies. Studies published within the last decade precisely from 2013 were searched for across major online databases after devising a proper search strategy. Multiple reviewers created a specific data extraction form that was used for the investigation, followed by the evaluation of bias and the variables found in each of the chosen papers. This form was meant for the assessment for various variables encountered in this study. According to the meta-analysis, using PP was related with a statistically significant decrease in the risk of orthodontic treatment and diagnostic modalities, with odds ratios (OR) of 0.52 with a 95% confidence interval (CI) of (0.28, 0.96), and a relative risk (RR) of 0.66 with a CI of (0.45, 0.96). In orthodontics, PP is an important tool that offers useful data for diagnosis, treatment planning, and tracking treatment success. To validate the results of studies like ours, a sizable evidence sample is required due to the limited number of trials that have been performed in this area.

PURPOSE
Peripheral neuropathies after shoulder arthroscopy are rare, though likely under-reported. Many resolve spontaneously, but some patients are left with permanent neurological deficits. The purpose of this study was to review the literature to better characterize this patient population, diagnostic tests performed, the timing and type of surgical intervention, and report clinical outcomes.
METHODS
A systematic literature review was performed. Articles in English were identified from PubMed, EMBASE, and CINAHL in August 2021. Article titles and abstracts were screened for relevance by two authors and discordant abstracts were resolved by the senior author. Data were subsequently extracted from the included articles.
RESULTS
Seventeen articles were identified yielding a total of 91 patients. The average age was 53 ± 12 years, and most patients were male (72%). Rotator cuff repair (62%) was the most common procedure performed. A peripheral neuropathy was identified an average of 80 ± 81 days from the index procedure (range, 0-240 days). Most commonly, peripheral nerve injury presented as a mononeuropathy, with the median nerve (39%) and ulnar nerve (17%) affected predominantly. Seventeen percent of patients underwent a secondary surgery at an average of 232 ± 157 days after the index procedure. At the final follow-up, 55% of neuropathies had resolved, 14% partially improved, and 22% showed no clinical improvement. The most proposed etiologies were postoperative immobilization (29%) and intraoperative positioning (20%), but several possible etiologies have been suggested.
CONCLUSIONS
Peripheral neuropathies after arthroscopic shoulder procedures are rare. While most spontaneously resolve, up to 1 in 5 patients may have persistent neuropathic symptoms. A high index of suspicion should be maintained throughout the postoperative period. When neurologic deficits are identified, patients should undergo a thorough diagnostic workup and be referred to a subspecialist in a timely manner.

Medical infrared thermal imaging (IRT) has been applied to research blood flow, breast cancer detection, and human body muscle performance. The benefits of IRT include the fact that it is noninvasive, quick, dependable, non-contact, capable of creating several recordings in a short period of time, and secure for both patients and medical professionals. We aimed to determine the predictive value of IRT for identifying and evaluating any interventional procedure in patients affected by peripheral artery disease (PAD) of any severity.
METHODS
We searched the Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and PubMed on the topic of IRT and PAD until January 20,2023. We excluded gray literature as it is lacking credibility for not undergoing a peer-reviewed process. The search strategy includes the medical topic headings for "infrared thermal imaging" and "peripheral vascular disorders." The primary outcome of this systematic review was the variation in tissue perfusion in PAD patients. Each technique's technical characteristics and therapeutic use within PAD must be described in each included study.
RESULTS
This systematic review included 2 case reports and 3 observational studies. By comparing the temperatures of PAD patients hands, legs, and feet, IRT might prove to be an unduly valuable tool for treating vascular illnesses, especially in light of the knowledge gained from the temperature distribution maps.
CONCLUSION
This noninvasive method demonstrated encouraging results in the detection of various areas of foot perfusion and the screening of PAD, and it gave good findings in gauging the effects of any type of intervention.

COVID-19 rapid antigen tests approved for self-testing in Australia: published diagnostic test accuracy studies and manufacturer-supplied information. A systematic review.
OBJECTIVES
To review evaluations of the diagnostic accuracy of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) rapid antigen tests (RATs) approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for self-testing by ambulatory people in Australia; to compare these estimates with values reported by test manufacturers.
STUDY DESIGN
Systematic review of publications in any language that reported cross-sectional, case-control, or cohort studies in which the participants were ambulatory people in the community or health care workers in hospitals in whom severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection was suspected, and the results of testing self-collected biological samples with a TGA-approved COVID-19 RAT were compared with those of reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing for SARS-CoV-2. Estimates of diagnostic accuracy (sensitivity, specificity) were checked and compared with manufacturer estimates published on the TGA website.
DATA SOURCES
Publications (to 1 September 2022) identified in the Cochrane COVID-19 Study Register and the World Health Organization COVID-19 research database. Information on manufacturer diagnostic accuracy evaluations was obtained from the TGA website.
DATA SYNTHESIS
Twelve publications that reported a total of eighteen evaluations of eight RATs approved by the TGA for self-testing (manufacturers: All Test, Roche, Flowflex, MP Biomedicals, Clungene, Panbio, V-Chek, Whistling) were identified. Five studies were undertaken in the Netherlands, two each in Germany and the United States, and one each in Denmark, Belgium, and Canada; test sample collection was unsupervised in twelve studies, and supervised by health care workers or researchers in six. Estimated sensitivity with unsupervised sample collection ranged from 20.9% (MP Biomedicals) to 74.3% (Roche), and with supervised collection from 7.7% (V-Chek) to 84.4% (Panbio); the estimates were between 8.2 and 88 percentage points lower than the values reported by the manufacturers. Test specificity was high for all RATs (97.9-100%).
CONCLUSIONS
The risk of false negative results when using COVID-19 RATs for self-testing may be considerably higher than apparent in manufacturer reports on the TGA website, with implications for the reliability of these tests for ruling out infection.

OBJECTIVE
There is an abundance of information on facelifts, blepharoplasties, rhinoplasty, and other cosmetic surgical procedures for the upper third of the face, but little is known about perioral lip rejuvenation. The aim of this article is to examine the existing literature on lip rejuvenation and perioral procedures related to lip rejuvenation. Additionally, this article aims to highlight the importance of addressing perioral areas alongside lip rejuvenation procedures, rather than solely focusing on lip rejuvenation. We also discussed the extensive procedures and materials used for lip rejuvenation, such as hyaluronic acid, botulinum toxin A, abobotulinum, onabotulinum, incobotulinum, prabobotulinum, fat grafts, silicone fillers, human collagen, collagen stimulating procedures such as derma pens and derma rolls, radiation frequency, stem cells, and plasma therapy, as well as the underlying factors that contribute to varying success rates.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
A thorough literature search was done using PubMed, Cochrane, Ebsco search, Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science for the articles pertaining to facial and lip cosmetic surgeries 1995-2020. Keywords for the search included anatomy of the face, facial aging, perioral areas, lip rejuvenation, botox, grafts, facelift, plastic surgery, stem cell therapy, plasma treatment, and cosmetic surgery.
RESULTS
37 articles met the study criteria. 14 out of 37 studies included procedures for lip and perioral region rejuvenation. The remaining 23 studies either involved lip procedures alone or lip procedures in conjunction with facial cosmetic procedures. Lip rejuvenation with perioral enhancement with hyaluronic acid gel demonstrated a 94.3% improvement on the lip fullness scale (LFS) one month after re-treatment. The amalgamation of lip and perioral region rejuvenation produces a synergistic effect. Whereas, sole lip rejuvenation procedures showed short-term results with less patient satisfaction, calling for secondary lip rejuvenation procedures. It was also observed that hyaluronic acid was the most commonly used agent for lip rejuvenation procedures with minimal or no side effects.
CONCLUSIONS
In conjunction with perioral rejuvenation, lip rejuvenation procedures produce more aesthetically appealing results. However, any cosmetic surgical or non-surgical procedure is limited by the nature and composition of the products used. The use of FDA-approved products for rejuvenation is strongly advised to avoid undesirable side effects. Further extensive research is required on the long-term outcomes and adverse effects of stem cell transplants, such as tumor development.

BACKGROUND
Good nutritional screening tests can triage malnourished patients for further assessment and management by dietitians before surgery to reduce the risk of postoperative complications. The authors assessed the diagnostic test accuracy of common nutritional screening tools for preoperative malnutrition in adults undergoing surgery and determined which test had the highest accuracy.
METHODS
MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, and Web of Science were searched for relevant titles with no language restriction from inception till 1 January 2023. Studies reporting on the diagnostic test accuracy of preoperative malnutrition in adults using one or more of the following index nutritional screening tools were included: Malnutrition Screening Tool (MST), Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST), Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA), short-form Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA-SF), Nutritional Risk Index (NRI), Nutrition Risk Screening Tool 2002 (NRS-2002), and Preoperative Nutrition Screening (PONS). The reference standard was the Subjective Global Assessment (SGA) before surgery. Random-effects bivariate binomial model meta-analyses, meta-regressions, and a network meta-analysis were used to estimate the pooled and relative sensitivities and specificities.
RESULTS
Of the 16 included studies (5695 participants with an 11 957 index and 11 957 SGA tests), all were conducted after hospital admission before surgery. Eleven studies ( n =3896) were at high risk of bias using the Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies tool due to a lack of blinded assessments. MUST had the highest overall test accuracy performance (sensitivity 86%, 95% CI: 75-93%; specificity 89%, 95% CI: 83-93%). Network meta-analysis showed NRI had similar relative sensitivity (0.93, 95% CI: 0.77-1.13) but lower relative specificity (0.75, 95% CI: 0.61-0.92) than MUST.
CONCLUSIONS
Of all easy-to-use tests applicable at the bedside, MUST had the highest test accuracy performance for screening preoperative malnutrition. However, its predictive accuracy is likely insufficient to justify the application of nutritional optimization interventions without additional assessments.

Postoperative Radiographic Outcomes Following Primary Open Coracoid Transfer (Bristow-Latarjet) Vary in Definition, Classification, and Imaging Modality: A Systematic Review.
PURPOSE
To analyze radiographic outcomes by conventional radiography, computed tomography (CT), or both and complication rates of open coracoid transfer at a minimum of 12-months follow-up.
METHODS
A literature search was performed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines, using PubMed, Medline (Ovid), and EMBASE library databases. Inclusion criteria were clinical studies reporting on open Latarjet as the primary surgical procedure(revision coracoid transfer after failed prior stabilization excluded) with postoperative radiographic outcomes at a minimum mean 1-year follow-up. Patient demographics, type of postoperative imaging modality, and radiographic outcomes and complications including graft union, osteoarthritis, and osteolysis were systematically reviewed. Data were summarized as ranges of reported values for each outcome metric. Each radiographic outcome was graphically represented in a Forest plot with point estimates of the incidence of radiographic outcomes with corresponding 95% confidence intervals and I.
RESULTS
Thirty-three studies met inclusion criteria, with a total of 1,456 shoulders. The most common postoperative imaging modality was plain radiography only (n = 848 [58.2%]), both CT and radiography (n = 287 [19.7%]), and CT only (n = 321 [22.1%]). Overall, the reported graft union rate ranged from 75% to 100%, of which 79.8% (n = 395) were detected on plain radiography. The most common reported postoperative radiographic complications after the open coracoid transfer were osteoarthritis (range, 0%-100%, pooled mean 28%), graft osteolysis (range, 0%-100%, pooled mean 30%), nonunion (range, 0%-32%, pooled mean 5.1%), malpositioned graft (range, 0%-75%, pooled mean 14.75%), hardware issues (range, 0%-9.1%, pooled mean 5%), and bone block fracture (range, 0%-8%, pooled mean 2.1%). Graft healing was achieved in a majority of cases (range, 75%-100%).
CONCLUSION
Postoperative radiographic outcomes after open coracoid transfer vary greatly in definition, classification, and imaging modality of choice. Greater consistency in postoperative radiographic outcomes is essential to evaluate graft healing, osteolysis, and nonunion.

OBJECTIVE
Dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) imaging technology opens a new idea and method for analyzing stone composition, which can obtain several quantitative parameters reflecting tissue-related information and energy images different from traditional images. However, the application of DECT in diagnosing urinary calculi remains unknown. This study aims to evaluate the value of DECT in diagnosing urinary calculi by meta-analysis.
METHODS
PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library were searched to articles published from the establishment of the databases to April 18, 2023. We reviewed the articles on the diagnosis of urinary calculi detected by DECT, established standards, screened the articles, and extracted data. Two researchers carried out data extraction and the Cohen's unweighted kappa was estimated for inter-investigator reliability. The quality of the literature was evaluated by the diagnostic test accuracy quality evaluation tool (QUADAS-2). The heterogeneity and threshold effects were analyzed by Meta-Disc 1.4 software, and the combined sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio, and diagnostic ratio were calculated. The combined receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn, and the value of DECT in the diagnosis of urinary calculi was evaluated by the area under the curve (AUC). The meta-analysis was registered at PROSPERO (CRD42023418204).
RESULTS
One thousand and twenty-seven stones were detected in 1,223 samples from 10 diagnostic tests. The analyzed kappa alternated between 0.78-0.85 for the document's retrieval and detection procedure. The sensitivity of DECT in the diagnosis of urinary calculi was 0.94 (95% CI [0.92-0.96]). The positive likelihood ratio (PLR) of DECT in the diagnosis of urinary stones was 0.91 (95% CI [0.88-0.94]), and the negative likelihood ratio (NLR) was 0.08 (95% CI [0.05-0.11]). The specificity of DECT for detecting urinary calculi was 0.91 (95% CI [0.88-0.94]). The area under the curve of the summary receiver operator characteristic (SROC) was 0.9875. The sensitivity of dual-energy CT in the diagnosis of urinary calculi diameter <3 mm was 0.94 (95% CI [0.91-0.96]). The PLR of DECT in the diagnosis of urinary stones diameter <3 mm was 10.79 (95% CI [5.25 to 22.17]), and the NLR was 0.08 (95% CI [0.05-0.13]). The specificity of DECT for detecting urinary calculi <3 mm was 0.91 (95% CI [0.87-0.94]). The SROC was 0.9772.
CONCLUSION
The DECT has noble application value in detecting urinary calculi.
