BACKGROUND
In the current era of rapid technological innovation, our lives are becoming more closely intertwined with digital systems. Consequently, every human action generates a valuable repository of digital data. In this context, data-driven architectures are pivotal for organizing, manipulating, and presenting data to facilitate positive computing through ensemble machine learning models. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic underscored a substantial need for a flexible mental health care architecture. This architecture, inclusive of machine learning predictive models, has the potential to benefit a larger population by identifying individuals at a heightened risk of developing various mental disorders.
OBJECTIVE
Therefore, this research aims to create a flexible mental health care architecture that leverages data-driven methodologies and ensemble machine learning models. The objective is to proficiently structure, process, and present data for positive computing. The adaptive data-driven architecture facilitates customized interventions for diverse mental disorders, fostering positive computing. Consequently, improved mental health care outcomes and enhanced accessibility for individuals with varied mental health conditions are anticipated.
METHOD
Following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines, the researchers conducted a systematic literature review in databases indexed in Web of Science to identify the existing strengths and limitations of software architecture relevant to our adaptive design. The systematic review was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42023444661). Additionally, a mapping process was employed to derive essential paradigms serving as the foundation for the research architectural design. To validate the architecture based on its features, professional experts utilized a Likert scale.
RESULTS
Through the review, the authors identified six fundamental paradigms crucial for designing architecture. Leveraging these paradigms, the authors crafted an adaptive data-driven architecture, subsequently validated by professional experts. The validation resulted in a mean score exceeding four for each evaluated feature, confirming the architecture's effectiveness. To further assess the architecture's practical application, a prototype architecture for predicting pandemic anxiety was developed.

Nurse-led physical activity interventions for people with dementia in nursing homes: A systematic review on intervention characteristics and implementation facilitators/barriers.
BACKGROUND
Physical activities are important to maintain and promote physical functioning and activities of daily living in people with dementia. Nurses are in a key position to deliver physical activity interventions in nursing homes. However, synthesized strategies for sustainable implementation of physical activity interventions in nursing homes for people with dementia are lacking.
OBJECTIVE
We aimed at synthesizing the evidence on nurse-led physical activity interventions and at identifying facilitators and barriers to sustainable implementation of physical activity interventions for people with dementia.
DESIGN
Systematic review.
REVIEW METHODS
We performed a comprehensive literature search combining database searches (MEDLINE, CINAHL, CENTRAL, Web of Science Core Collection; last search: September 27, 2023) and supplementary search methods (citation tracking, web searching, clinical guideline database searching). We considered studies on nurse-led physical activity interventions for people with dementia living in nursing homes for eligibility; published as journal articles and related material in English, French, German language, without restrictions on primary study design and publication year. Independently and in duplicate, we assessed the references' eligibility and the quality of the included studies. We used the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool to appraise quality of included studies. We piloted and double-checked data extractions, and summarized the results narratively and graphically (harvest plot). We prospectively registered our review (PROSPERO CRD42021271833).
RESULTS
We identified 24 studies (of which eleven were randomized trials) assessing various interventions that we categorized into physical exercise (n = 8), care-integrated physical activity (n = 6), outdoor or walking activity (n = 5), technology-supported physical exercise (n = 3), and dancing (n = 2). Types of outcomes and length of follow-up varied widely. Effects were inconclusive, except for outdoor or walking activities showing an overall positive impact on physical outcomes. For eight interventions, we identified evidence on implementation barriers (b) and facilitators (f), including staff shortage (b), staff time resources (b), or ease of implementation for staff (f) and adaptability of interventions (f) or refusal to participate of people with dementia (b).
CONCLUSIONS
The results of our review provide a comprehensive overview on types, characteristics and effects of nurse-led physical activity interventions for people with dementia in nursing homes. Based on evidence from a range of study designs and sources, we came to the conclusion that all stakeholders involved considered physical activity interventions for people with dementia as useful and relevant. Outcome measures varied widely and a clear conclusion on effectiveness remains open.

Cell-based therapeutic cancer vaccines use autologous patient-derived tumor cells, allogeneic cancer cell lines or autologous antigen presenting cells to mimic the natural immune process and stimulate an adaptive immune response against tumor antigens. The primary objective of this study is to perform a systematic literature review with an embedded meta-analysis of all published Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials of cell-based cancer vaccines in human subjects. The secondary objective of this study is to review trials demonstrating biological activity of cell-based cancer vaccines that could uncover additional hypotheses, which could be used in the design of future studies. We performed the systematic review and meta-analysis according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The final review included 36 studies - 16 single-arm studies, and 20 controlled trials. Our systematic review of the existing literature revealed largely negative trials and our meta-analysis did not show evidence of clinical benefit from cell-based cancer-vaccines. However, as we looked beyond the stringent inclusion criteria of our systematic review, we identified significant examples of biological activity of cell-based cancer vaccines that are worth highlighting. In conclusion, the existing literature on cell-based cancer vaccines is highly variable in terms of cancer type, vaccine therapies and the clinical setting with no overall statistically significant clinical benefit, but there are individual successes that represent the promise of this approach. As cell-based vaccine technology continues to evolve, future studies can perhaps fulfill the potential that this exciting field of anti-cancer therapy holds.

The longevity and healthy ageing observed in Blue Zones offer valuable insights for contemporary urban neighbourhood planning and design. This paper reviews the age-friendly features of the built environment in Blue Zones, aiming to translate these insights into actionable strategies for urban neighbourhood development. Employing a systematic literature review and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) analysis of Google Street View imagery, this study assesses the built environments in Blue Zones, including housing, public spaces, and transportation systems. Key findings highlight the presence of adaptable housing, building designs that foster a connection with nature, and semi-public spaces that encourage social interaction and physical activity. A notable emphasis on walkability and limited public transport access was observed. The CNN analysis corroborated these findings, providing a quantitative view of age-friendly features. This research contributes to the academic discourse in urban planning and design by providing practical insights for developing age-friendly neighbourhoods, inspired by Blue Zones. It concludes by offering policy advice and future research directions for creating sustainable and inclusive urban environments conducive to ageing populations.

BACKGROUND
Increasingly hip replacements at young age exposes the patient to an increased risk of failure of the implant over the years. In case of failure, revision specific stems were designed to overcome bone loss. Modularity of these devices is an important resource for the surgeon as they allow the new implant to be better adapted to the patient's anatomy. The purpose of this systematic review is to provide data about the outcome at long-term follow-up (>8 years) of hip modular revision femoral stems.
METHODS
This systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) statement guidelines. PubMed and Google Scholar databases were systematically and independently searched, according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Two reviewers performed the data extraction independently. In case of disagreement, the senior authors were sought to resolve the divergences. Quality of the involved studies was evaluated with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines (eight-item list) and the Newcastle-Ottawa scale (NOS). Primary and secondary outcomes were evaluated. The statistical analysis of this meta-analysis was performed by using Excel Microsoft and the software STATA.
RESULTS
The primary outcome was the re-revision rate of modular revision stems at long-term follow-up. It ranged from 1.4% to 45.6%: random effect pooled estimate was 5.5% [95% confidence interval (CI): 4% to 7%], with a I of 12.3% (P=0.332). Mean Harris Hip Score (HHS) was 83 [min: 79; max: 87.6; standard deviation (SD): 3.55]. Secondary evaluated outcomes were: subsidence >5 mm, rate of periprosthetic infection or fractures (intra- and post-operative) and dislocations. The mean value for the NICE tool was 5.5 (SD: 1.13) and 7.3 (SD: 0.79) for the NOS tool. The survival rate was >90% at long-term follow-up (min: 60%; max: 97%).
CONCLUSIONS
The modular femoral revision stems have demonstrated good long-term reliability and efficacy. This meta-analysis demonstrates that the re-revision rate after 8 years of follow-up is low and 90% of the implants did not fail.

This systematic review aims to evaluate CyberKnife (Accuray, Madison, WI, USA) radiosurgery's efficacy, safety, and outcomes in treating meningiomas, focusing on tumour control rates, symptom relief, survival rates, quality of life, and adverse events. A comprehensive literature search was conducted across PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), covering studies published in the last 20 years and available in English. The inclusion criteria targeted studies involving patients with meningioma treated with CyberKnife radiosurgery, reporting on specific outcomes of interest. Quality assessment was performed using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale for observational studies, and a narrative synthesis approach was adopted for data analysis. Twenty-one studies met the inclusion criteria, encompassing various design types and patient demographics. The review highlights CyberKnife's effectiveness in managing benign and atypical meningiomas and specific challenging cases like perioptic lesions and large cranial base tumours. Key findings include high tumour control rates, preservation or improvement of visual functions in perioptic lesions, and promising results in benign spinal tumours and supratentorial meningiomas. Comparative analyses suggest better radiographic tumour control and a lower incidence of post-treatment complications with stereotactic radiotherapy over stereotactic radiosurgery. Long-term outcomes and safety profiles underline the viability of CyberKnife as a treatment option, with minimal permanent side effects reported. CyberKnife radiosurgery is a highly effective and safe treatment modality for meningiomas. It offers significant benefits in tumour control, symptom relief, and maintaining the quality of life with minimal adverse effects. The precision and adaptability of CyberKnife technology make it a valuable addition to the treatment arsenal for meningiomas. It necessitates further research and adoption in clinical practice, especially in regions like the United Arab Emirates, where its use is emerging.

BACKGROUND AND HYPOTHESIS
People with first-episode psychosis (FEP) in low- and lower-middle-income countries (LMIC) experience delays in receiving treatment, resulting in poorer outcomes and higher mortality. There is robust evidence for effective and cost-effective early intervention in psychosis (EIP) services for FEP, but the evidence for EIP in LMIC has not been reviewed. We aim to review the evidence on early intervention for the management of FEP in LMIC.
STUDY DESIGN
We searched 4 electronic databases (Medline, Embase, PsycINFO, and CINAHL) to identify studies describing EIP services and interventions to treat FEP in LMIC published from 1980 onward. The bibliography of relevant articles was hand-searched. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were followed.
STUDY RESULTS
The search strategy produced 5074 records; we included 18 studies with 2294 participants from 6 LMIC countries. Thirteen studies (1553 participants) described different approaches for EIP. Pharmacological intervention studies (n = 4; 433 participants) found a high prevalence of metabolic syndrome among FEP receiving antipsychotics (P ≤ .005). One study found a better quality of life in patients using injectables compared to oral antipsychotics (P = .023). Among the non-pharmacological interventions (n = 3; 308 participants), SMS reminders improved treatment engagement (OR = 1.80, CI = 1.02-3.19). The methodological quality of studies evidence was relatively low.
CONCLUSIONS
The limited evidence showed that EIP can be provided in LMIC with adaptations for cultural factors and limited resources. Adaptations included collaboration with traditional healers, involving nonspecialist healthcare professionals, using mobile technology, considering the optimum use of long-acting antipsychotics, and monitoring antipsychotic side effects.

This review targets the application of the Verbal Fluency Task (VFT) in conjunction with functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) for diagnosing psychiatric disorders, specifically in the contexts of China and Japan. These two countries are at the forefront of integrating fNIRS with VFT in clinical psychiatry, often employing this combination as a complementary tool alongside traditional psychiatric examinations. Our study aims to synthesize research findings on the hemodynamic responses elicited by VFT task in clinical settings of the two countries, analyzing variations in task design (phonological versus semantic), stimulus modality (auditory versus visual), and the impact of language typology. The focus on China and Japan is crucial, as it provides insights into the unique applications and adaptations of VFT in these linguistically and culturally distinct environments. By exploring these specific cases, our review underscores the importance of tailoring VFT to fit the linguistic and cultural context, thereby enhancing its validity and utility in cross-cultural psychiatric assessments.

BACKGROUND
Reliable animal models are critical for preclinical research and should closely mimic the disease. With respect to route of infection, pathogenic agent, disease progression, clinical signs, and histopathological changes. Sheep have similar bone micro- and macrostructure as well as comparable biomechanical characteristics to humans. Their use in bone research is established, however their use in bone infection research is limited. This systematic review will summarise the key features of the available bone infection models using sheep, providing a reference for further development, validation, and application.
METHOD
This systematic review was designed according to the PRISMA guidelines and registered with PROSPERO. Quality was assessed using SYRICLE's risk of bias tool adapted for animal studies. PubMed, MEDLINE, Web of Science and EMBASE were searched until March 2022.1921 articles were screened by two independent reviewers, and 25 were included for analysis.
RESULTS
Models have been developed in nine different breeds. was used in the majority of models, typically inoculating 10 colony forming units in tibial or femoral cortical defects. Infection was established with either planktonic or biofilm adherent bacteria, with or without foreign material implanted. Most studies used both radiological and microbiological analyses to confirm osteomyelitis.
CONCLUSIONS
There is convincing evidence supporting the use of sheep in bone infection models of clinical disease. The majority of sheep studied demonstrated convincing osteomyelitis and tolerated the infection with minimal complications. Furthermore, the advantages of comparable biology and biomechanics may increase the success for translating results to successful therapies.
THE TRANSLATIONAL POTENTIAL OF THIS ARTICLE
In the realm of preclinical research, the translation to viable clinical therapies is often perilous, and the quest for reliable and representative animal models remains paramount. This systematic review accentuates the largely untapped potential of sheep as large animal models, especially in bone infection research. The anatomical and biomechanical parallels between sheep and human bone structures position sheep as an invaluable asset for studying osteomyelitis and periprosthetic joint infection. This comprehensive exploration of the literature demonstrates the robustness and translational promise of these models. Furthermore, this article underscores the potential applicability for sheep in developing effective therapeutic strategies for human bone infections.

BACKGROUND
Surrogate endpoints for overall survival in patients with resectable non-small cell lung cancer receiving neoadjuvant therapy are needed to provide earlier treatment outcome indicators and accelerate drug approval. This study's main objectives were to investigate the association among pathological complete response, major pathological response, event-free survival and overall survival and to determine whether treatment effects on pathological complete response and event-free survival correlate with treatment effects on overall survival.
METHODS
A comprehensive systematic literature review was conducted to identify neoadjuvant studies in resectable non-small cell lung cancer. Analysis at the patient level using frequentist and Bayesian random effects (hazard ratio [HR] for overall survival or event-free survival by pathological complete response or major pathological response status, yes vs no) and at the trial level using weighted least squares regressions (hazard ratio for overall survival or event-free survival vs pathological complete response, by treatment arm) were performed.
RESULTS
In both meta-analyses, pathological complete response yielded favorable overall survival compared with no pathological complete response (frequentist, 20 studies and 6530 patients: HR = 0.49, 95% confidence interval = 0.42 to 0.57; Bayesian, 19 studies and 5988 patients: HR = 0.48, 95% probability interval = 0.43 to 0.55) and similarly for major pathological response (frequentist, 12 studies and 1193 patients: HR = 0.36, 95% confidence interval = 0.29 to 0.44; Bayesian, 11 studies and 1018 patients: HR = 0.33, 95% probability interval = 0.26 to 0.42). Across subgroups, estimates consistently showed better overall survival or event-free survival in pathological complete response or major pathological response compared with no pathological complete response or no major pathological response. Trial-level analyses showed a moderate to strong correlation between event-free survival and overall survival hazard ratios (R2 = 0.7159) but did not show a correlation between treatment effects on pathological complete response and overall survival or event-free survival.
CONCLUSION
There was a strong and consistent association between pathological response and survival and a moderate to strong correlation between event-free survival and overall survival following neoadjuvant therapy for patients with resectable non-small cell lung cancer.
