INTRODUCTION AND AIM
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a noninflammatory joint disease. If OA of the knee causes pain, decreased muscle strength and joint stiffness, exercise therapy is one of the most effective treatments for the disease. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of aquatherapy on pain intensity and performance in women with OA with the assumption that it causes weightlessness.
METHODS
This is a quasiexperimental study. The sample size included 60 people who were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The visual analogue scale was used to assess pain and timed up and go test (TUG), 30 Second Sit to Stand Test (30-S-CS), and 40-meter fast-paced walk test (40 MW) were used to assess performance. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS ver. 22.
RESULTS
The results of the present study showed a decrease in pain intensity from moderate to mild intensity. Also, physical performance dimensions in patients with OA were improved, so that the average TUG increased from 14.06 to 8.8 s. The average S-CS frequency increased from 4.86 to 8.4 s and 90 MW decreased from the average 93.43 to 72.66 s.
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION
Lower limb muscle strength, and physical performance can be improved and pain intensity can be reduced in patients with OA by performing aquatherapy three times a week for 8 weeks.

BACKGROUND
The COVID-19 pandemic changed people's lives. The majority had to adapt to working online including students. The shift to online learning caused serious sleep and mental health issues among students. This study aimed to examine the variations between the prevalence of sleep and mental health problems among undergraduate students during the periods of online learning and on-campus learning.
METHOD
An online survey was distributed to medical students in Saudi Arabia.
RESULTS
A total of 110 participated in the study (age = 21 ± 1.4 years). The on-campus anxiety (8.2 ± 6.3) was significantly higher than online anxiety (5.5 ± 5.1). On-campus daytime sleepiness (8.5 ± 4) was significantly higher when compared to online daytime sleepiness (6.7 ± 4.6). Although not significant, the on-campus stress (7.7 ± 5.7) and insomnia (12 ± 7.3) were higher than online stress (6.9 ± 5.5) and insomnia (11.5 ± 6). The online depression (6.6 ± 5.7) was higher than the mean on-campus depression (5.8 ± 5.4). A significant strong positive correlation was found between on-campus anxiety and on-campus stress. A significant moderate positive correlation was detected between on-campus anxiety and on-campus daytime sleepiness. A weak but significant correlation was found between on-campus anxiety and on-campus insomnia. On-campus anxiety was significantly predicted by the following model, which included on-campus stress, insomnia, and daytime sleepiness ( < .001).
CONCLUSION
Medical students reported lower anxiety, daytime sleepiness, stress, and insomnia during their online learning compared to on-campus learning. Only depression was higher during online learning compared to on-campus learning.

BACKGROUND
Human rights provide a universal foundation for pursuing justice in public health in order to achieve the dignity of all individuals. In spite of international attempts to promote human rights in the context of health, a significant portion of India's indigenous population continues to have a limited understanding of these rights.
OBJECTIVE
This study aims to analyze tribal people's attitudes towards human rights in health care. The population consists of tribal residents from Manbazar - I and Puncha Blocks in the Puruliya district of West Bengal, India. Tribal young adults between the ages of 18 and 35 were the subject of a cross-sectional study.
METHODS
A pretested questionnaire was used to collect data. MS Excel and SPSS 27 were used for analysis. A descriptive analysis was carried out.
RESULTS
The participants' mean scores for awareness, accessibility and communication, autonomy and sexual and reproductive health and sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) were 8.06, 15.76, 7.35 and 32.52 revealing a moderate perception level among the young adult tribal population in the selected blocks.
CONCLUSION
A holistic focus of the governmental and other non-governmental organizations towards the tribals is required. Introducing various aspects of human rights in healthcare in the education curriculum along with community outreach would by all likelihood improve the perception of 'Human Rights' and thus help in better utilization of various services including health among tribal populations in India.

Association of socio-demographic factors with clinical outcome among hospitalized patients in first and second waves of COVID-19 pandemic: Study from the developing world.
BACKGROUND
Recent disease resurgence in China indicates that corona virus infectious disease is still a pertinent public health problem. We stand at a juncture where we are still unsure about the initial dilemmas regarding its birth, therapies, and the emerging novel strains. Medical literature has focused on the clinical, laboratory, radiological, and therapeutic aspects of disease management. There is paucity of literature on the association between socio-demographic variables on disease severity and clinical outcome.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
This retrospective observational study analyzing the socio-demographic variables was performed at a dedicated COVID care center in western Maharashtra, India. Electronic records of all individuals who were admitted to this hospital from July 29 2020, to June 14, 2021, and diagnosed COVID-19 positive by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) were identified after due institutional ethical clearance. Patients admitted from July 29, 2020, to February 27, 2021, were categorized as patients presenting during the 'first wave of viral pandemic'. Those admitted from March 01, 2021, to June 14, 2021, have been included as patients admitted during 'second wave of viral pandemic'. The following outcome parameters were collected (presenting symptoms, duration of symptoms before the individual presented for diagnostic RT-PCR, total duration of symptoms, severity of disease at onset, duration of hospital stay, the final outcome (discharge/death) and Charlson's comorbidity index). The linear regression model was used to establish association between socio-demographic factors and disease severity at onset (mild/moderate/severe/critical).
RESULTS
A total of 37033 patients were screened, and the positivity rate with RT-PCR was 16.99% ( = 6275) during the study period. Out of which 45% ( = 2824) of the patients had mild disease requiring home isolation and the remaining 55% of patients required admission. 1590 patients from the first wave and 910 from the second wave of COVID-19 were hospitalized and included in the study after exclusion. The mean age of patients in first wave was 49 years and that in second wave was 54 years with 77.6% and 70.6% males in two waves, respectively. The burden of critical cases was higher in second wave as computed to first wave (10% vs 8%). The second wave had more outreach in the rural population as compared to second one (17.8% vs 12.2%). The mean duration from the onset of symptoms to hospitalization was 03 and 04 days, respectively, in two waves. Mortality associated in two waves was 11.9% and 24%, respectively ( < 0.05). Higher Charlson's comorbidity index was associated with higher mortality, and the cumulative survival from urban area was more as compared to the rural population (log rank - 9.148, = 0.0002).
CONCLUSION
The second COVID-19 wave had significantly higher case mortality. It affected elderly patients and those with rural background. The factors associated with higher mortality during COVID-19 pandemic were rural background, higher Charlson's comorbidity index and late presentation to the hospital. Ongoing vaccine campaigns, thus, should focus on rural areas and individuals with comorbidities especially in developing and least developed countries.

Review
Colorectal cancer is among the well-known forms of cancer and a prominent cause of cancer demises worldwide. In vitro experiments reinforced by animal studies, as well as epidemiological studies of human colorectal cancer propose that the growth of this disease can be moderated by eating aspects. Dietary intake including green vegetables and fruits may result in the reduction of colon cancer chances. The finding suggests that the combinations of dietary nutrients may deliver additive or synergistic effects and might be a powerful method to avoid or eradicate colon cancer beginning and/or development. Flavonols are one of the most widespread dietary nutrients of the polyphenols-flavonoids and major constituent of and Brassicaceae vegetables. Flavonols present in vegetables of and Brassicaceae family are kaempferol, myricetin, quercetin, and isorhamnetin. These flavonols are claimed to have antiproliferative activity in vivo and in vitro against colorectal cancer. The objective of this review is to summarize the role of flavonols obtained from dietary sources in the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer.

OBJECTIVE
This study aims to determine whether the live birth rates were similar between GnRH antagonist original reference product Cetrotide and generic Ferpront, in gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist protocol for controlled ovarian stimulation (COS).
METHODS
This retrospective cohort study investigates COS cycles utilizing GnRH antagonist protocols. The research was conducted at a specialized reproductive medicine center within a tertiary care hospital, spanning the period from October 2019 to October 2021. Within this timeframe, a total of 924 cycles were administered utilizing the GnRH antagonist originator, Cetrotide (Group A), whereas 1984 cycles were undertaken using the generic, Ferpront (Group B).
RESULTS
Ovarian reserve markers, including anti-Mullerian hormone, antral follicle number, and basal follicular stimulating hormone, were lower in Group A compared to Group B. Propensity score matching (PSM) was performed to balance these markers between the groups. After PSM, baseline clinical features were similar, except for a slightly longer infertile duration in Group A versus Group B (4.43 ± 2.92 years vs. 4.14 ± 2.84 years, 0.029). The duration of GnRH antagonist usage was slightly longer in Group B than in Group A (6.02 ± 1.41 vs. 5.71 ± 1.48 days, 0.001). Group B had a slightly lower number of retrieved oocytes compared to Group A (14.17 ± 7.30 vs. 14.96 ± 7.75, 0.024). However, comparable numbers of usable embryos on day 3 and good-quality embryos were found between the groups. Reproductive outcomes, including biochemical pregnancy loss, clinical pregnancy, miscarriage, and live birth rate, did not differ significantly between the groups. Multivariate logistic regression analyses suggested that the type of GnRH antagonist did not independently impact the number of oocytes retrieved, usable embryos, good-quality embryos, moderate to severe OHSS rate, clinical pregnancy, miscarriage, or live birth rate.
CONCLUSION
The retrospective analysis revealed no clinically significant differences in reproductive outcomes between Cetrotide and Ferpront when used in women undergoing their first and second COS cycles utilizing the GnRH antagonist protocol.

Contrast-enhanced FLAIR fat-suppressed (CE-FLAIR-FS) imaging can potentially increase the diagnostic accuracy of uveal diseases and ultimately provide better patient management. This study aimed to determine the diagnostic value of CE-FLAIR-FS imaging versus contrast-enhanced T1-weighted imaging (CE-T1WI) in the assessment of pediatric patients with uveitis. Twenty-one children with uveitis who underwent whole brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), including CE-FLAIR-FS and CE-T1WI, were retrospectively included in the study. We evaluated the presence of uveal tract contrast enhancement with thickening, vitreous humor signal abnormality, and accompanying brain abnormalities. The uveal enhancement intensity was assessed semiquantitatively as mild, moderate, and marked uveitis compared to CE-T1WI and CE-FLAIR-FS images. Panuveitis (61.9%) was the most frequent anatomic location, and most of them were idiopathic (47.6%). Of the 42 eyes with clinical uveitis, enhancement of the uveal tract was observed on CE-FLAIR-FS images in 21 eyes (50%), while in 5 eyes (11.9%) on CE-T1WI. The sensitivity of CE-FLAIR-FS in panuveitis was detected to be quite high (80.8%). The number of affected eyes and enhancement degree were found to be higher on CE-FLAIR-FS ( < 0.001). In assessing the severity of uveitis, CE-FLAIR-FS grades were significantly higher and more sensitive than CE-T1WI ( < 0.001, : -4.347). Three patients had vitreous abnormal signals on CE-FLAIR-FS images, but none on CE-T1WI. CE-FLAIR-FS plays a significant role in the diagnosis of pediatric uveitis, identifying the involvement and severity of the uveal inflammation and guiding the appropriate management. It would be beneficial to add it as a standard sequence to the routine MRI protocol for uveal pathologies.

Young children's rapid vocabulary growth during the first few years is supported by input during social interactions with caregivers and, increasingly, from digital media. However, the amount of exposure to both sources can vary substantially across socioeconomic classes, and little is known about how social interactions and digital media use together predict vocabulary in the first few years of life. The current study takes a first step toward examining whether increased social interactions with other individuals may buffer the potentially detrimental effects of digital media use on language among a socioeconomically diverse sample. 305 caregivers of children between 17 and 30-months completed questionnaires about their family demographics, their child's technology use, and the child's daily routines and social interactions. Findings suggest children who experience fewer human interactions and greater technology exposure have smaller vocabularies than their peers who socialize more and use less technology, and this disparity becomes greater as children get older. Moreover, the number of social interactions moderates the link between SES, digital media, and vocabulary such that the negative impact of digital media on vocabulary for children from low SES households can be offset with increased social interactions. Together, this suggests that increasing the amount of human interactions may serve as a protective factor for vocabulary outcomes in a world where digital media use is prominent.

PURPOSE
The Anesthesiologist Assistant career is gaining significant popularity in the health professions in the United States. Given that this medical occupation is relatively young, there is limited information regarding student success in this demanding graduate-level program. Assessing if pre-admission metrics influence how students perform during the curriculum is essential to recruiting the appropriate candidates. Grade point averages have been shown to correlate with student success in medical education programs for both medical students and physician assistant students, but there is currently no information regarding anesthesiologist assistant students.
METHODS
Pre-matriculation science and cumulative grade point averages were accessed in a deidentified manner for Emory University Anesthesiologist Assistant Students, and 2-tailed Pearson coefficients were calculated to see if there was a correlation with performance during the science/didactic curriculum of our program and with the clinical curriculum of the program.
RESULTS
The 2-tailed Pearson coefficients showed a moderately strong positive correlation between pre-admission science and cumulative grade point averages and performance during the science curriculum of the Emory program (r=0.522). Data also suggested a moderate correlation with grade point averages at graduation from our program (r=0.484). Similar results were found with cumulative grade point averages as well.
CONCLUSION
Given the limited information, we have regarding pre-admission metrics and performance in an Anesthesiologist Assistant program, our study shows that pre-admission science scores and grades in general in undergraduate studies does in fact mimic the information found from studies of other health profession students. Further studies are needed to elucidate how to choose the most appropriate candidates for admission to anesthesiologist assistant programs.

Amdizalisib, also named HMPL-689, a novel selective and potent PI3Kδ inhibitor, is currently under Phase II clinical development in China for treating hematological malignancies. The preclinical pharmacokinetics (PK) of amdizalisib were extensively characterized and to support the further development of amdizalisib. We characterized the plasma protein binding, blood-to-plasma partition ratio, cell permeability, hepatic microsomal metabolic stability, and drug-drug interaction potential of amdizalisib using experiments. PK assessment was undertaken in mice, rats, dogs, and monkeys following a single intravenous or oral administration of amdizalisib. The tissue distribution and excretion of amdizalisib were evaluated in rats. The PK parameters (CL and V) of amdizalisib in preclinical species (mice, rats, dogs, and monkeys) were utilized for the human PK projection using the allometric scaling (AS) approach. Amdizalisib was well absorbed and showed low-to-moderate clearance in mice, rats, dogs, and monkeys. It had high cell permeability without P-glycoprotein (P-gp) or breast cancer resistance protein (BCRP) substrate liability. Plasma protein binding of amdizalisib was high (approximately 90%). It was extensively distributed but with a low brain-to-plasma exposure ratio in rats. Amdizalisib was extensively metabolized , and the recovery rate of the prototype drug was low in the excreta. Amdizalisib and/or its metabolites were primarily excreted via the bile and urine in rats. Amdizalisib showed inhibition potential on P-gp but not on BCRP and was observed to inhibit CYP2C8 and CYP2C9 with IC values of 30.4 and 10.7 μM, respectively. It exhibited induction potential on CYP1A2, CYP2B6, CYP3A4, and CYP2C9. The preclinical data from these ADME studies demonstrate a favorable pharmacokinetic profile for amdizalisib, which is expected to support the future clinical development of amdizalisib as a promising anti-cancer agent.
