Neurosarcoidosis is a rare disorder in children. We identified 30 pediatric NS cases through a systematic review. Twenty-one (70%) had systemic sarcoidosis with 30% having primary neurosarcoidosis. Eyes (37%), lymph nodes (37%) and lungs (30%) were most commonly involved. Isolated neurosarcoidosis were more likely in children (30%) than in adults (6%, p = 0.0005). Seizures and optic neuritis were also more common in children than adults (33% vs 14%, p = 0.002; and 30% versus 6%, p = 0.008, respectively). Evaluation, imaging, laboratory findings, and treatments are discussed. Additional research, including multi-center studies, is needed.

We aimed to summarise effects and use of non-pharmacological and pharmacological treatments for sarcoidosis with musculoskeletal manifestations. We systematically searched the Cochrane Library, Ovid MEDLINE, Embase, CINAHL, AMED, Scopus, clinical.trials.gov, PROSPERO and PEDro for systematic reviews from 2014 to 2022 and for primary studies from date of inception to March 29, 2022, and studies with patients diagnosed with sarcoidosis with musculoskeletal manifestations. Inclusion criteria required that studies reported effects of non-pharmacological and/or pharmacological treatments or number of patients receiving these treatments. Results were reported narratively and in forest plots. Eleven studies were included. No systematic reviews fulfilled our inclusion criteria. None of the included studies had a control group. We found that between 23 and 100% received corticosteroids, 0-100% received NSAIDs, 5-100% received hydroxychloroquine, 12-100% received methotrexate, 0-100% received TNF inhibitors, and 3-4% received azathioprine. Only ten patients in one study had used non-pharmacological treatments, including occupational therapy, chiropractic and acupuncture. There are no controlled studies on treatment effects for patients with sarcoidosis with musculoskeletal manifestations. We found 11 studies reporting use of pharmacological treatments and only one study reporting use of non-pharmacological treatments. Our study identified major research gaps for pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment in musculoskeletal sarcoidosis and warrant randomised clinical trials for both.

WHAT IS KNOWN AND OBJECTIVE
Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) is a serious and rare adverse reaction of cephalosporins. We aimed to describe the clinical features of cephalosporin-induced AGEP and provide a reference for rational clinical use of cephalosporins.
METHODS
We systematically searched Chinese and English databases for cephalosporin-induced TGEP-related case reports, retrospective studies, clinical studies, and review articles published before May 2022.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
A total of 43 patients from 35 articles were eligible, of which 28 (65.1%) were female, with a median age of 69 years. A total of 11 cephalosporins were suspected, the most commonly involved were ceftriaxone (41.9%), cephalexin (16.3%), and cefepime (9.3%). AEGP erupted primarily within 14 days after administration, manifested as nonfollicular pustules on an erythematous base, distributed favourably to the extremities (44.2%), trunk (23.3%), face (23.3%), and could involve the oral mucosa (11.6%). During AGEP resolution, the affected area had desquamation (39.5%). The acute phase of the disease may be accompanied by fever (>38.0°C) and elevated neutrophil count (>7500/mm ). Histology of AGEP showed subcorneal pustules (56.3%), intraepidermal cavernous pustules (37.5%), with papillary dermal edema (37.5%), containing neutrophils and eosinophilic infiltration (71.9%). After drug discontinuation, the median time to resolution of AGEP symptoms was 10 days (range 2, 90).
WHAT IS NEW AND CONCLUSION
Cephalosporin-induced AGEP is rare and should be properly diagnosed. This serious cutaneous adverse reaction is self-limiting and has a favourable prognosis, usually resolves with drug interruption, and may require additional interventions, such as topical steroids.

Gel nail polish (GNP) has recently gained worldwide popularity. We have conducted a comprehensive summary of the complications of GNP through a literature search using the PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases to identify eligible contributions. Complications were divided into mechanical and traumatic nail disorders, allergic contact dermatitis (ACD), and ultraviolet (UV)-induced lesions. A total of 12 contributions were included, identifying 88 patients, all of whom were women. Six of the reports described ACD (62 cases, 70.5%), 3 concerned mechanical nail damage (23 cases, 26.1%), and 3 reported UV-induced skin lesions (3 cases, 3.4%). ACD developed an average of 30 months after GNP initiation. The most frequent culprit allergens were 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate. Pterygium inversum unguis was the most frequent mechanical lesion (n = 17). Squamous cell carcinoma was reported in 3 cases. The delay between UV exposure and the diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma ranged from 11 to 15 years. Scant literature and a lack of education among consumers and beauticians have led to the uncontrolled use of GNP. The principle of managing nail cosmetic problems is prevention through education. There is a need for understanding the processes involved and the associated complications to facilitate appropriate treatment and safe use.

The safety assessment of cosmetics considers the exposure of a 'common consumer', not the occupational exposure of hairdressers. This review aims to compile and appraise evidence regarding the skin toxicity of cysteamine hydrochloride (cysteamine HCl; CAS no. 156-57-0), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP; CAS no. 9003-39-8), PVP copolymers (CAS no. 28211-18-9), sodium laureth sulfate (SLES; CAS no. 9004-82-4), cocamide diethanolamine (cocamide DEA; CAS no. 68603-42-9), and cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB; CAS no. 61789-40-0). A total of 298 articles were identified, of which 70 were included. Meta-analysis revealed that hairdressers have a 1.7-fold increased risk of developing a contact allergy to CAPB compared to controls who are not hairdressers. Hairdressers might have a higher risk of acquiring quantum sensitization against cysteamine HCl compared to a consumer because of their job responsibilities. Regarding cocamide DEA, the irritant potential of this surfactant should not be overlooked. Original articles for PVP, PVP copolymers, and SLES are lacking. This systematic review indicates that the current standards do not effectively address the occupational risks associated with hairdressers' usage of hair cosmetics. The considerable irritant and/or allergenic potential of substances used in hair cosmetics should prompt a reassessment of current risk assessment practices.

Psychotherapeutic interventions for burns patients and the potential use with Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis patients: A systematic integrative review.
BACKGROUND
The existing evidence demonstrates that survivors of SJS/TEN have reported long-lasting psychological effects of their condition. Burns patients experience similar psychological effects. It is important to look at ways to help allay the psychological complications of SJS/TEN. As there is an absence of evidence on SJS/TEN psychotherapeutic interventions, it was judged to be beneficial to determine the evidence underpinning psychotherapeutic interventions used with burns patients.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The aim of this systematic integrative review was to synthesize the evidence relating to psychotherapeutic interventions used with adult burns patients and patients with SJS/TEN.
METHOD
The systematic review was guided by Whittemore and Knafl's integrative review process and the PRISMA guidelines. Nine databases were searched for English and French language papers published January 2008 to January 2021. The protocol for the review was registered with PROSPERO.
RESULTS
Following a screening process, 17 studies were included in the review. Two themes were identified using content analysis, (i) Empirically supported psychotherapeutic treatments, (ii) Alternative psychotherapeutic treatments. This review revealed no evidence on specific psychotherapeutic interventions for patients with SJS/TEN. Some of the interventions used with burns patients, viz. relaxation therapy, hypnosis and cognitive behavioral therapy showed some significant benefits. However, the evidence for burns patients is mainly focused on pain and pain anxiety as outcomes.
CONCLUSION
Following further research, some of the interventions deployed in burns patients may be applicable to SJS/TEN patients, particularly stress reduction techniques. In addition, the caring behaviours such as compassion, respect, and getting to know the patient as a person are important components to psychological care.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES
Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) are life-threatening mucocutaneous hypersensitivity reactions that carry significant morbidity and mortality. While clinical features are well documented in adult and pediatric patients, infantile cases are rarely reported. Our objective was to synthesize clinical features and outcomes in this population.
METHODS
A literature search was performed from three large databases (PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science) to systematically identify reports of SJS/TEN in the infantile period (defined as less than 12 months of age) between 1962 and 2019. Cases determined to represent SJS/TEN based on defined criteria were included. Each case was scored based on Quality Rating Scheme for Studies and Other Evidence. The initial search yielded 4856 publications, of which 19 (n = 26) met final inclusion criteria.
RESULTS
All cases for which body surface area (BSA) involvement was available or able to be approximated (n = 18/26) met criteria for TEN. All cases (n = 26) had mucous membrane involvement, with the oral mucosa most commonly affected (85.7%). Mortality was high within our population with 39.1% of infants expiring, 77.8% secondary to bacterial sepsis. The most common triggers were medications (52.4%), infections (33.3%), and vaccinations (14.3%).
CONCLUSIONS
This review highlights several unique clinical findings amongst infants with SJS/TEN, including increased BSA involvement, higher rates of bacterial sepsis, and higher mortality rates compared to older children and adults. Infants are more likely to present as TEN over SJS. More research is needed to identify triggers, successful treatments, and specific outcomes in this population.

Background There is limited consensus regarding the relative diagnostic performance of cardiac MRI and fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET for cardiac sarcoidosis. Purpose To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis to compare the diagnostic accuracy of cardiac MRI and FDG PET for cardiac sarcoidosis. Materials and Methods Medline, Ovid Epub, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Embase, Emcare, and Scopus were searched from inception until January 2022. Inclusion criteria included studies that evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of cardiac MRI or FDG PET for cardiac sarcoidosis in adults. Data were independently extracted by two investigators. Summary accuracy metrics were obtained by using bivariate random-effects meta-analysis. Meta-regression was used to assess the effect of different covariates. Risk of bias was assessed using the Quality Assessment Tool for Diagnostic Accuracy Studies-2 tool. The study protocol was registered a priori in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (Prospero protocol CRD42021214776). Results Thirty-three studies were included (1997 patients, 687 with cardiac sarcoidosis); 17 studies evaluated cardiac MRI (1031 patients) and 26 evaluated FDG PET (1363 patients). Six studies directly compared cardiac MRI and PET in the same patients (303 patients). Cardiac MRI had higher sensitivity than FDG PET (95% vs 84%; = .002), with no difference in specificity (85% vs 82%; = .85). In a sensitivity analysis restricted to studies with direct comparison, point estimates were similar to those from the overall analysis: cardiac MRI and FDG PET had sensitivities of 92% and 81% and specificities of 72% and 82%, respectively. Covariate analysis demonstrated that sensitivity for FDG PET was highest with quantitative versus qualitative evaluation (93% vs 76%; = .01), whereas sensitivity for MRI was highest with inclusion of T2 imaging (99% vs 88%; = .001). Thirty studies were at risk of bias. Conclusion Cardiac MRI had higher sensitivity than fluorodeoxyglucose PET for diagnosis of cardiac sarcoidosis but similar specificity. Limitations, including risk of bias and few studies with direct comparison, necessitate additional study. © RSNA, 2022
