Antimicrobial-resistance genes (ARGs) are spread among bacteria by horizontal gene transfer, however, the effect of environmental factors on the dynamics of the ARG in water environments has not been very well understood. In this systematic review, we employed the regression tree algorithm to identify the environmental factors that facilitate/inhibit the transfer of ARGs via conjugation in planktonic/biofilm-formed bacterial cells based on the results of past relevant research. Escherichia coli strains were the most studied genus for conjugation experiments as donor/recipient in the intra-genera category. Conversely, Pseudomonas spp., Acinetobacter spp., and Salmonella spp. were studied primarily as recipients across inter-genera bacteria. The conjugation efficiency (ce) was found to be highly dependent on the incubation period. Some antibiotics, such as nitrofurantoin (at ≥0.2 µg ml-1) and kanamycin (at ≥9.5 mg l-1) as well as metallic compounds like mercury (II) chloride (HgCl2, ≥3 µmol l-1), and vanadium (III) chloride (VCl3, ≥50 µmol l-1) had enhancing effect on conjugation. The highest ce value (-0.90 log10) was achieved at 15°C-19°C, with linoleic acid concentrations <8 mg l-1, a recognized conjugation inhibitor. Identifying critical environmental factors affecting ARG dissemination in aquatic environments will accelerate strategies to control their proliferation and combat antibiotic resistance.

Meta-Analysis Comparative Study Review
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is commonly complicated by anemia. Treating dialysis-dependent patients with anemia, including daprodustat and other inhibitors of prolyl hydroxylase of hypoxia-inducible factor, recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO), and iron supplements. We conducted this study to test our postulation; daprodustat is superior to rhEPO and other conventional treatments respecting efficacy and safety parameters. We made systematic search through PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Cochrane. Seven unique trials were eventually included for systematic review; six of them with a sample size of 759 patients entered our network meta-analysis (NMA). Daprodustat 25-30 mg was associated with the greatest change in serum hemoglobin (MD=1.86, 95%CI= [1.20; 2.52]), ferritin (MD= -180.84, 95%CI= [-264.47; -97.20]), and total iron binding capacity (TIBC) (MD=11.03, 95%CI= [3.15; 18.92]) from baseline values. Dialysis-dependent patients with anemia had a significant increment in serum Hemoglobin and TIBC and a reduction in serum ferritin, in a dose-dependent manner, when administered daprodustat.

Nematophagous fungi have been widely evaluated in the biological control of parasitic helminths in animals, both through their direct use and the use of their derived products. Fungal bioproducts can include extracellular enzymes, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), as well as secondary metabolites. The aim of this study was to conduct a systematic review covering the evaluation of products derived from nematophagous fungi in the biological control of parasitic helminths in animals. In total, 33 studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in this review. The majority of the studies were conducted in Brazil (72.7%, 24/33), and bioproducts derived from the fungus Duddingtonia flagrans were the most commonly evaluated (36.3%, 12/33). The studies involved the production of extracellular enzymes (48.4%, 16/33), followed by crude enzymatic extract (27.2%, 9/33), secondary metabolites (15.1%, 5/33) and biosynthesis of AgNPs (9.1%, 3/33). The most researched extracellular enzymes were serine proteases (37.5%, 6/16), with efficacies ranging from 23.9 to 85%; proteases (31.2%, 5/16), with efficacies from 41.4 to 95.4%; proteases + chitinases (18.7%, 3/16), with efficacies from 20.5 to 43.4%; and chitinases (12.5%, 2/16), with efficacies ranging from 12 to 100%. In conclusion, extracellular enzymes are the most investigated derivatives of nematophagous fungi, with proteases being promising strategies in the biological control of animal helminths. Further studies under in vivo and field conditions are needed to explore the applicability of these bioproducts as tools for biological control.

BACKGROUND
In the past decade, the transfibular approach to Total Ankle Replacement (TAR) has emerged as an alternative to anterior approach with reduced bone resection. The purpose of this systematic review is to report survival, complications, and reoperation rates of transfibular TAR.
METHODS
We conducted a systematic search of studies that evaluated complications, reoperations, and survival of transfibular TAR following PRISMA guidelines across PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science.
RESULTS
Our review included data from 12 cohorts, comprising 919 patients across 7 countries, with an average age of 62 years (59% posttraumatic). Over an average follow-up period of 3 years, adverse events occurred in 23% of cases, with 18% requiring surgical reintervention, mostly due to hardware removal. The survival rate of the transfibular TAR metal components was 97% at the final follow-up.
CONCLUSION
Transfibular TAR demonstrates a 97% survival rate at a 3-year follow-up.

BACKGROUND/AIM
The current systematic review aimed to collect and analyze all available published and unpublished cases in which prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted radioligand therapy (Lu-PSMA) was used to treat non-prostatic cancer.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
Literature search and evidence acquisition through contacts with organizations that use Lu-PSMA were employed. PubMed/Medline, SCOPUS, and ScienceDirect searches were performed following PRISMA recommendations. The search strategy was to screen all articles describing Lu-PSMA radioligand therapy published to date with the key word "Lu-PSMA". These articles were collected and screened for non-prostatic cancer cases. Quality assessment was performed using the GRADE criteria.
RESULTS
A total of 713 articles were screened, and the search revealed 15 eligible records. Forty patients with a mean age of 51.2±18.5 years were treated with Lu-PSMA for non-prostatic cancer. Of them, 30 cases were published, and 10 were found in medical institution records. Cancers of the salivary glands were most often targeted (13/40), followed by various brain cancer types (8/40), and osteosarcoma (6/40). The authors used previously established protocols for castration-resistant prostate cancer with the dose per cycle as 6.0-7.4 GBq and the number of cycles between one and four. Toxicity was estimated as low, and 21 out of 28 patients with reported outcomes survived to the time of the publication.
CONCLUSION
PSMA-targeted radioligand therapy was infrequently used to treat different non-prostatic cancer types in various target organs. These pioneering efforts indicate that Lu-PSMA can be used to treat non-prostatic cancer with PSMA expression. The toxicity of such treatment was low, and the outcome was relatively good.

AIMS
Intra-articular (IA) injection may be used when treating hip osteoarthritis (OA). Common injections include steroids, hyaluronic acid (HA), local anaesthetic, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Network meta-analysis allows for comparisons between two or more treatment groups and uses direct and indirect comparisons between interventions. This network meta-analysis aims to compare the efficacy of various IA injections used in the management of hip OA with a follow-up of up to six months.
METHODS
This systematic review and network meta-analysis used a Bayesian random-effects model to evaluate the direct and indirect comparisons among all treatment options. PubMed, Web of Science, Clinicaltrial.gov, EMBASE, MEDLINE, and the Cochrane Library were searched from inception to February 2023. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) which evaluate the efficacy of HA, PRP, local anaesthetic, steroid, steroid+anaesthetic, HA+PRP, and physiological saline injection as a placebo, for patients with hip OA were included.
RESULTS
In this meta-analysis of 16 RCTs with a total of 1,735 participants, steroid injection was found to be significantly more effective than placebo injection on reported pain at three months, but no significant difference was observed at six months. Furthermore, steroid injection was considerably more effective than placebo injection for functional outcomes at three months, while the combination of HA+PRP injection was substantially more effective at six months.
CONCLUSION
Evidence suggests that steroid injection is more effective than saline injection for the treatment of hip joint pain, and restoration of functional outcomes.

Percarbonate encompasses sodium percarbonate (SPC) and composite in-situ generated peroxymonocarbonate (PMC). SPC emerges as a promising alternative to hydrogen peroxide (HO), hailed for its superior transportation safety, stability, cost-effectiveness, and eco-friendliness, thereby becoming a staple in advanced oxidation processes for mitigating water pollution. Yet, scholarly literature scarcely explores the deployment of percarbonate-AOPs in eradicating organic contaminants from aquatic systems. Consequently, this review endeavors to demystify the formation mechanisms and challenges associated with reactive oxygen species (ROS) in percarbonate-AOPs, alongside highlighting directions for future inquiry and development. The genesis of ROS encompasses the in situ chemical oxidation of activated SPC (including iron-based activation, discharge plasma, ozone activation, photon activation, and metal-free materials activation) and composite in situ chemical oxidation via PMC (namely, HONaHCO/NaCO, peroxymonosulfate/NaHCO/NaCO systems). Moreover, the ROS generated by percarbonate-AOPs, such as •OH, O, CO, HO, O, and HCO, can work individually or synergistically to disintegrate target pollutants. Concurrently, this review systematically addresses conceivable obstacles posing percarbonate-AOPs in real-world application from the angle of environmental conditions (pH, temperature, coexisting substances), and potential ecological toxicity. Considering the outlined challenges and advantages, we posit future research directions to amplify the applicability and efficacy of percarbonate-AOPs in tangible settings. It is anticipated that the insights provided in this review will catalyze the progression of percarbonate-AOPs in water purification endeavors and bridge the existing knowledge void.

Influence of the Manufacturing Trinomial (Technology, Printer, and Material) on the Marginal and Internal Discrepancies of Printed Metal Frameworks for the Fabrication of Tooth-Supported Prostheses: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to compare the influence of fabrication method (conventional, subtractive, and additive procedures) and manufacturing trinomial (technology, printer, and material combination) on the marginal and internal fit of cobaltchromium (Co-Cr) tooth-supported frameworks.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
An electronic systematic review was performed in five data bases: MEDLINE/PubMed, Embase, World of Science, Cochrane, and Scopus. Studies that reported the marginal and internal discrepancies of tooth-supported Co-Cr additive manufacturing (AM) frameworks were included. Two authors independently completed the quality assessment of the studies by applying the Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Checklist for Quasi-Experimental Studies. A third examiner was consulted to resolve lack of consensus.
RESULTS
A total of 31 articles were included and classified based on the evaluation method: manufacturing accuracy, the dual- or triple-scan method, stereomicroscope, optical coordinate measurement machine, microCT, profilometer, and silicone replica. Six subgroups were created: 3D Systems, Bego, Concept Laser, EOS, Kulzer, and Sisma. Due to the heterogeneity and limited data available, only the silicone replica group was considered for meta-analysis. The metaanalysis showed a mean marginal discrepancy of 91.09 μm (I2 = 95%, P < .001) in the conventional group, 77.48 μm (I2 = 99%, P < .001) in the milling group, and 82.92 μm (I2 = 98%, P < .001) in the printing group. Additionally, a mean internal discrepancy of 111.29 μm (I2 = 94%, P < .001) was obtained in the conventional casting group, 121.96 μm (I2 = 100%, P < .001) in the milling group, and 121.25 μm (I2 = 99%, P < .001) in the printing group.
CONCLUSIONS
Manufacturing method and selective laser melting (SLM) metal manufacturing trinomial did not impact the marginal and internal discrepancies of Co-Cr frameworks for the fabrication of tooth-supported restorations.

OBJECTIVES
Pole dancing is an extreme form of performance physical activity, combining considerable feats of muscular strength, flexibility, dancing and acrobatics on a vertical metal apparatus. Despite rapid growth in the artform, many pole dancers continue to participate without fulfilling physical requirements to withstand the forces and physicality required. The aim of this systematic review was to determine the incidence, prevalence and characteristics of injuries sustained by pole dancing participants reported in published studies.
METHODS
Five databases were comprehensively searched in February 2023. Authors independently screened titles and abstracts, with full copies of eligible studies reviewed using specific inclusion/exclusion criteria. Studies were included if they referenced pole dancing, were in English language and Level I-III-3 in accordance with the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council, with case reports considered if included 10 or more participants. The National Institute of Health quality assessment tool for observational cohort and cross-sectional studies was used to review the quality of reporting of selected studies.
RESULTS
Eleven articles were retrieved based on searches, with five studies meeting full inclusion/exclusion criteria, published between 2020-2022. In total 787 study participants were identified, with 623 sustaining a total of 1,803 pole dancing injuries. Data from all studies in injury profiles reported 42.4% of injuries sustained to the upper limb, 44.8% lower limb, 10.5% trunk, 0.02% associated with the head and neck, and several injuries affecting multiple regions. Acute injuries comprised 51.6% of reported injuries compared to 48.4% chronic. Injury characteristics were varied due to inconsistencies in reporting across studies.
CONCLUSIONS
This systematic review highlights a paucity of knowledge regarding injuries in pole dancing, perhaps expected with a relatively young sport. Improvement in reporting is required to aid in identification of injuries and opportunities for development of injury risk reduction strategies. PROSPERO Registration no. CRD42023401012.

Effect of Plastic Stents Following Lumen-Apposing Metal Stent Placement on Recurrence of Pancreatic Fluid Collections in Disconnected Pancreatic Duct Syndrome: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
BACKGROUND AND AIM
Lumen-apposing metal stents (LAMS) are preferred to initial drainage in pancreatic fluid collections (PFCs) patients with disconnected pancreatic duct syndrome (DPDS) in recent years. However, unlike plastic stents, the long-term placement of LAMS is not recommended due to a high risk of local complications. This meta-analysis attempted to evaluate the effect of using plastic stents for prolonged drainage after LAMS removal on recurrence of PFCs in DPDS.
METHODS
A comprehensive literature search was conducted from inception until January 2023, to identify articles investigating the endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided treatment of plastic stents compared with no plastic stents following LAMS removal in patients with PFCs and DPDS. The primary outcome measures included recurrence of PFCs and need for reintervention.
RESULTS
We identified 3 eligible articles including 520 patients with PFCs, 246 of whom with DPDS. There was a total of 143 and 103 patients in the plastic stents group and in the no plastic stents group, respectively. The plastic stents group exhibited a lower rate of PFCs recurrence following LAMS removal after PFCs resolution compared with the no plastic stents group (OR 0.15; 95% CI 0.03-0.75; P=0.02). However, there was no difference in the rates of reintervention between the two groups (OR 0.52; 95% CI 0.15-1.83; P=0.31). There was no severe adverse events and mortality associated with stent placement or exchange in all patients.
CONCLUSION
Deployment of plastic stents for long-term drainage after LAMS replacement can decrease the risk of PFCs recurrence in patients with DPDS following resolution, but it does not impact reintervention rates.
