Ameloblastic fibrodentinoma (AFD) is a rare benign odontogenic tumor that resembles an ameloblastic fibroma with dysplastic dentin. This report presents a rare case of mandibular AFD with imaging features in a young patient. Panoramic radiography and computed tomography revealed a well-defined lesion with internal septa and calcified foci, causing inferior displacement of the adjacent molars as well as buccolingual cortical thinning and expansion of the posterior mandible. The lesion was surgically removed via mass excision, and the involved tooth was extracted under general anesthesia. During the 5-year follow-up period, no evidence of recurrence was observed. Radiologic features of AFD typically reveal a moderately to well-defined mixed lesion with varying degrees of radiopacity, reflecting the extent of dentin formation. Radiologists should consider AFD in the differential diagnosis when encountering a multilocular lesion with little dense radiopacity, particularly if it is associated with delayed eruption, impaction, or absence of involved teeth, on radiographic images of young patients.

The World Health Organization's (WHO) 2022 update on the classification of odontogenic and maxillofacial bone tumors has revolutionized diagnostic and treatment paradigms by integrating novel molecular insights. Fibro-osseous lesions of the maxillo-facial bones constitute a heterogeneous group encompassing fibrous dysplasia, Psammomatoid Ossifying Fibroma (PSOF), Juvenile Trabecular Ossifying Fibroma (JTOF), and other variants. Despite histological similarities, their distinct clinical manifestations and prognostic implications mandate precise differentiation. The intricacies of diagnosing fibro-osseous lesions pose challenges for pathologists, maxillofacial surgeons, dentists and oral surgeons, underscoring the importance of a systematic approach to ensure optimal patient management. Herein, we present two cases, fibrous dysplasia and Cemento-Ossifying Fibroma, detailing their clinical encounters and management strategies. Both patients provided informed consent for publishing their data and images, adhering to ethical guidelines.

Most odontogenic tumors are intraosseous growths. A peripheral odontogenic fibroma presents as a slow-growing and firm swelling on the gingiva. It develops more commonly on the mandibular than the maxillary region. It can be found on either the palatal or lingual and on the labial or buccal surface of the jaw. It usually does not ulcerate. The most common type is a peripheral odontogenic fibroma, which is a benign odontogenic neoplasm of the periodontal soft tissues. In this case report, a 53-year-old male patient with peripheral odontogenic fibroma was treated using a laser.

Sclerosing odontogenic carcinoma (SOC) was first described by Koutlas . in 2008. Despite its inclusion in the World Health Organization (WHO) as a distinct entity, it is a tumour that remains poorly defined in the literature, with only 10 reported cases to date. The mandibular premolar and molar region is more commonly affected compared to the maxilla. In the maxilla, the anterior and the molar regions are most commonly affected. This article describes a case report of a Sclerosing Odontogenic Carcinoma in a 50 year old male patient in the mandibular region. The radiograph showed a well-defined radiolucency extending from the left ramus of the mandible to the right lower molar region. SOC is low grade with mild atypia and frequent mitosis and diffused infiltrative and perineural spread.

Peripheral odontogenic fibroma (POF) is described as a relatively rare, benign, extraosseous odontogenic tumor derived from odontogenic ectomesenchyme. It is characterized by a mature fibrous stroma with embedded inactive resting islands of odontogenic epithelium. In the category of peripheral/extraosseous neoplasms, odontogenic fibroma (OF) is one of the most prevalent tumors. The radiographic examination shows minimum bone loss in the alveolar crest area. It poses a diagnostic challenge for clinicians and pathologists because its clinical and radiological aspects are similar to other peripheral odontogenic as well as non-odontogenic tumors, and the differential diagnosis is predicated on histological assessment. Histopathological examination is the key to a final confirmed diagnosis. This article presents a case report of a 53-year-old male who reported a painless, pale pink mass in the maxillary anterior region. We emphasize the clinicopathological, radiographical, and histopathological aspects of the rare entity of POF.

The clinical differences between odontogenic myxoma (OM) and odontogenic myxofibroma (OMF), and the clinical significance of their classifications, remain unclear. This study reviewed the clinicopathological characteristics of patients with OM or OMF and evaluated the fibrous component of the specimens. Medical records of 21 patients with OM or OMF who underwent tumour resection were reviewed. The percentage of fibrous tissue on the representative sections was evaluated using haematoxylin and eosin- and Masson's trichrome-stained specimens. Histopathological diagnoses included 11 OMs and 10 OMFs with no tumour recurrence except for two cases in which the dredging method was applied. More cortical bone perforation was observed in OM than in OMF cases, without significant differences. Location-locularity and apparent diffusion coefficient value (ADC)-cortical bone perforation were significantly correlated in all OM and OMF cases. The percentage of fibrous tissue in specimens showed bimodal distribution bordered by 45%. There was a significant association between diagnosis based on 45% fibrous tissue criterion and the final pathological diagnosis. Our study showed a tendency for cortical bone perforation in OM compared to OMF and correlation between ADC and cortical bone perforation. According to the histopathological analyses, the fibrous component of each case was bimodal with 45%, which may be a criterion to distinguish between OM and OMF. Accumulating knowledge, such as significant differences in prognosis, may allow for minimal surgical treatment options based on the diagnosis according to this novel histopathological criterion.

BACKGROUND
Adenomatoid Odontogenic Tumor (AOT) accounts for 3% of all odontogenic tumors. It has been classified by WHO as an odontogenic tumor of purely epithelial origin. The current study attempts to establish the origin of the tumor along with detailed histopathological and clinicoradiographic analysis of 43 cases of AOT.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
Forty-three cases were reviewed from the departmental archives for demographic data, radiographic features and histological features. Further, histopathological slides were stained with Picrosirius Red (PSR) and observed under polarised light.
RESULTS
A majority of the cases were seen in the anterior jaws (76.7%), and were less than 3 cms (76.7%) in greatest dimension. Equal number of cases were of follicular and extra-follicular location while one was peripheral. Predominantly solid histological pattern was noted in 53.5%. Varied sub-patterns were observed with most cases exhibiting solid nodules and strands of tumor cells. Few cases showed melanin pigmentation. Over a third of cases (37.2%) showed dentigerous cyst like areas and one case each showed features of ossifying fibroma and focal cemento-osseous dysplasia. Tumor droplets, hyaline rings within duct-like structures, dentinoid material and osteodentin showed reddish yellow birefringence when observed under polarised microscopy post PSR staining.
CONCLUSION
This study highlights the diverse histopathological variation of AOT with evidence to reclassify it as a mixed odontogenic tumor based on the polarising microscopic findings with PSR staining.

Sturge-Weber syndrome (SWS) is a neurocutaneous syndrome with vascular lesions of the cerebral meninges, port wine spots on the face, and glaucoma of the eyes; it is a congenital, non-genetic disease whose etiology and mechanisms are unknown. In this report, we describe a rare case of SWS with unilateral large odontogenic tumors in the maxilla and mandible. The histopathological diagnosis of the maxillary bone lesion on biopsy was juvenile psammomatoid ossifying fibroma, which is considered a type of ossifying fibroma of craniofacial bone origin. However, the final pathological diagnosis of the excision was cemento-ossifying fibroma derived from periodontal ligament cells, and we discuss the histopathology in detail. In addition, the mandibular lesion was one of the largest odontomas reported to date. Furthermore, in this case, we suggest the possibility that the maxillary and mandibular bone lesions are not separate lesions, but a series of lesions related to SWS.

Ameloblastic fibroma (AF) is a benign mixed epithelial and mesenchymal odontogenic tumor. This was previously grouped in odontogenic tumor showing odontogenic epithelium with odontogenic ectomesenchyme, with or without hard tissue formation. This report describes a case of ameloblastic fibroma in a 37-yearold male who came with the complain of swelling in the left side of lower jaw since one year. Enucleation of the mass followed by reconstruction was done six years back. However, after two years of initial treatment; radiographic findings suggested recurrence. Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of ameloblastic fibroma. Patient had no clinical and radiographic evidence of recurrence in three and six months' follow-up. Because of the higher proliferative capacity and malignant degree of the mesenchymal component in the recurrent neoplasm, sarcomatous transformation may occur. Hence, a long term clinical and radiographical follow-up is essential due to its transformation into ameloblastic fibrosarcoma.

Cemento-ossifying fibroma (COF) is a mesenchymal benign odontogenic tumor, which may lead to impacted or ectopic permanent teeth. Autotransplantation of teeth is a surgical process, in which a tooth is transplanted from one position to another in the same individual. This method can effectively restore the patient's mastication and aesthetics and is feasible in replacing missing teeth. This study reports a case of simultaneous COF resection combined with heterotopic canine autotransplantation to repair dentition defect, which effectively promotes the restoration of bone continuity and stability and achieves immediate and long-term aesthetic function requirements.
