BACKGROUND
This paper describes and critically reflects on how children and young people (CYP) acted as public advisors to coproduce health information materials about Long Covid for younger audiences. This work was underpinned by the Lundy model, a framework which provides guidance on facilitating CYP to actively contribute to matters which affect them.
METHODS
Coproduction activity sessions took place with CYP in schools as well as video conferences with a CYP stakeholder group and CYP with Long Covid. Activities encouraged CYP to focus on the content, format, and design of materials and used problem-based and collaborative learning to encourage engagement with the project. Using a range of methods and open discussion, CYP codesigned a series of Long Covid health information materials for younger audiences.
RESULTS
Sixty-six CYP (aged 10-18), and two young adults were involved. CYP codesigned specifications for the final materials and provided feedback on early designs. The project led to the development of a series of health information materials targeted at CYP: a short social media campaign with six short videos and a 12-page illustrated leaflet about Long Covid; released on social media and distributed in local area. All the CYP were positive about the project and their involvement.
DISCUSSION
Involving CYP led to the development of innovative and engaging information materials (influence). Developing rapport was important when working with CYP and this was facilitated by using approaches and activities to establish an environment (space) where the CYP felt comfortable sharing their views (voice) and being listened to (audience) by the adults in the project. Working with external groups who are willing to share their expertise can help the meaningful involvement of voices 'less heard'.
PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION
One CYP coapplicant contributed to the project design and facilitation of PPIE sessions, 64 CYP were involved in the PPIE sessions to design and feedback on materials. Two young adult media producers worked with CYP to produce these materials, another CYP supported this process. Three public contributors were involved in the preparation of this manuscript.

BACKGROUND
The aim of this study was to reveal the relationship between the health literacy (HL) levels of children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and their parents, and the general health status and physical performance of the children.
METHODS
This study included 79 children aged 9-18 years with a diagnosis of JIA and one of their parents. HL levels were evaluated with the Turkish version of the Health Literacy for School-Aged Children and Turkish Health Literacy-32 (THL-32) for children and Adult Health Literacy Scale (AHLS) for their parents. The Childhood Health Assessment Questionnaire (CHAQ), 6-minute walk test (6-MWT), 10-meter walking test (10-MWT) and 10-stair climbing test (10-SCT) was used to evaluate the children. Juvenile Arthritis Biopsychosocial Questionnaire (JAB-Q) was used to assess the children's and parents' psychosocial status and perception of health.
RESULTS
HL levels of patients with JIA were 16.5% low HL, %55.7 moderate HL and 27.8% high HL. According to THL-32 scale score, HL level of parents were as follows: inadequate, 3.8%; problematic, 22.8%; sufficient, 34.2%; and excellent, 39.2%. Children's HL levels increase positively as they get older, and no significant relationship was found with other parameters. The AHLS, CHAQ and JAB-Q scores were better in the group with higher education levels of the parents. No statistically significant association was found between the HL of the children and that of the parents.
CONCLUSION
In our study, it was found that the high education levels of the parents positively affected the quality of life and physical condition of their children and parental HL levels. In addition, it was shown that the HL levels of children with JIA were not statistically related to other parameters.
PATIENT OR PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION
Children diagnosed with JIA and one of their parents actively participated in the study. Feedback from children and families provided important information about obtaining and using HL information before and during the study. The importance of therapy programs and information focusing on the patient and their family, as well as the inter-multidisciplinary approach, in combating a chronic disease at an early age was reinforced by the feedback received from patients and their families.

This study seeks to examine the multifaceted influences of diverse motivational factors on the live streaming engagement of e-sports fans based on self-determination theory. While previous research has focused on the offline participation in e-sports events, the shift towards live streaming engagement has created a new and underexplored area: the motivations for live streaming viewing among e-sports fans. Consequently, this research develops an e-sports Live Streaming Viewing Motivation Scale for evaluating both intrinsic and extrinsic motivations underlying e-sports fans' live streaming engagement, and then utilises SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 to assess the reliability and validity of the scale. Subsequently, multiple linear regression analysis of 1052 questionnaires is employed to construct models and evaluate hypotheses. Findings indicate that : (1) Intrinsic motivation exhibits significant impact on the live viewing behaviour of e-sports fans. (2) However, the impact of extrinsic motivation is insignificant. (3) When both intrinsic and extrinsic motivations coexist, intrinsic motivation maintains a positive impact, whereas extrinsic motivation demonstrates a negative influence. (4) The motivational influence is multifaceted; notably, dimensions such as idol worship, leisure entertainment, and competitive stimulation positively affect live viewing motivation, while belonging identification, social engagement, and peripheral activities exert a negative impact. In conclusion, intrinsic motivation emerges as the primary driving force behind e-sports fans' live streaming viewing behaviour. Extrinsic motivation fails to independently influence live streaming engagement and even dampens enthusiasm when combined with intrinsic motivation. Theoretically, this study contributes to the existing literature on Self-determination theory and motivations behind e-sports live streaming viewing behaviour. It not only refines the motivation scale, but also elucidates the impact of various motivations on viewing behaviour. Practically, it provides insights for optimising e-sports products and services.

Cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) is a disease transmitted by mosquitoes and is endemic in many regions of the world and Iran, and annually imposes a large burden on the health system. This study was conducted to identify the effective factors in the preventive behaviors of CL based on the BASNEF model in endemic areas in the northwest of Iran. This cross-sectional study was conducted in Bileh-Savar, 'endemic areas of Ardabil Province, Iran', from June 2022 to October 2022. 200 non-patients were included in the study by a multi-stage sampling method. A standard questionnaire based on the BASNEF model was applied for data collection. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 25. Means and standard deviations were calculated to describe the continuous variables, and multivariate linear regression analysis was used to determine the prediction of intention and behavior by the model structures. The BASNEF constructs predict 27% of behavioral intention changes. Among the constructs, attitude has a greater contribution in predicting changes (R = 0.27, p < 0.01). Also, the results showed that the BASNEF constructs predict 23% of behavior changes. Among the constructs, enabling factors have a greater contribution to predicting changes (R = 0.23, p < 0.01). This finding shows that behavior is more influenced by environmental factors, and educational interventions based on behavior change models, along with providing environmental conditions, can facilitate behavior change.

Smooth pursuit eye movements are considered a well-established and quantifiable biomarker of sensorimotor function in psychosis research. Identifying psychotic syndromes on an individual level based on neurobiological markers is limited by heterogeneity and requires comprehensive external validation to avoid overestimation of prediction models. Here, we studied quantifiable sensorimotor measures derived from smooth pursuit eye movements in a large sample of psychosis probands (N = 674) and healthy controls (N = 305) using multivariate pattern analysis. Balanced accuracies of 64% for the prediction of psychosis status are in line with recent results from other large heterogenous psychiatric samples. They are confirmed by external validation in independent large samples including probands with (1) psychosis (N = 727) versus healthy controls (N = 292), (2) psychotic (N = 49) and non-psychotic bipolar disorder (N = 36), and (3) non-psychotic affective disorders (N = 119) and psychosis (N = 51) yielding accuracies of 65%, 66% and 58%, respectively, albeit slightly different psychosis syndromes. Our findings make a significant contribution to the identification of biologically defined profiles of heterogeneous psychosis syndromes on an individual level underlining the impact of sensorimotor dysfunction in psychosis.

BACKGROUND
Angelman syndrome (AS) is a neurodevelopmental disorder associated with severe global developmental delay. However, the ages at which different developmental skills are achieved in these individuals remain unclear. We seek to determine the probability and the age of acquisition of specific developmental milestones and daily living skills in individuals with AS across the different molecular subtypes, viz. class I deletion, class II deletion, uniparental disomy, imprinting defect, and UBE3A variants.
METHODS
Caregivers participating in a longitudinal multicenter Angelman Syndrome Natural History Study completed a questionnaire regarding the age at which their children achieved specific developmental milestones and daily living skills. The Cox Proportional Hazard model was applied to analyze differences in the probability of achievement of skills at various ages among five molecular subtypes of AS.
RESULTS
Almost all individuals, regardless of molecular subtype, were able to walk with support by five years of age. By age 15, those with a deletion had at least a 50% probability of acquiring 17 out of 30 skills compared to 25 out of 30 skills among those without a deletion. Overall, fine and gross motor skills such as holding and reaching for small objects, sitting, and walking with support were achieved within a fairly narrow range of ages, while toileting, feeding, and hygiene skills tend to have greater variability in the ages at which these skills were achieved. Those without a deletion had a higher probability (25-92%) of achieving daily living skills such as independently toileting and dressing compared to those with a deletion (0-13%). Across all molecular subtypes, there was a low probability of achieving independence in bathing and brushing teeth.
CONCLUSION
Individuals with AS without a deletion are more likely to achieve developmental milestones and daily living skills at an earlier age than those with a deletion. Many individuals with AS are unable to achieve daily living skills necessary for independent self-care.

Proportion of early treatment seeking for sexually transmitted infections and associated factors among patients attending youth friendly service in Bahir Dar City health centers, Northwest, Ethiopia.
BACKGROUND
Sexually transmitted infection is a common public health issue of youths and is characteristically transmitted through sexual intercourse. Even though early treatment for sexually transmitted infection is very important to reduce further complications and economic burden, studies to identify the proportion and the possible factor of early treatment seeking is rare in Ethiopia.
OBJECTIVE
To assess the proportion of early treatment seeking for sexually transmitted infections and associated factors among patients attending youth friendly service in Bahir Dar city health centers, northwest, Ethiopia 2023.
METHOD
Institutional based Cross-sectional study was used among 407 participants from April 25 to May 24 /2023. A systematic random sampling technique was used to select the participants. An interview-administered questionnaire was used for data collection, whereas Epi-data version 4.6.0.2 and the statistical package for statistical science version 23 were used for data entry and analysis respectively. A frequency table and bar chart were used for descriptive analysis. Multiple binary logistic regression was employed to identify the factors at p-value of <0.05. The necessary assumption of the model was also checked by the Hosmer and Lemishow test.
RESULTS
The response rate of this study was 391 (96.1%) and the proportion of early treatment for sexually transmitted infection was 108 (27.6%, 95%CI; 23-32). Good knowledge about sexually transmitted infection (AOR=1.98, 95CI%; 1.13-3.47) know about their HIV status (AOR=1.95, 95%CI; 1.13-3.36), perceive severity of sexually transmitted infection (AOR=11.23, 95%CI; 6.15-20.45), and not fear the stigma about being infected with sexually transmitted infection (AOR=2.29, 95%CI; 1.32-3.96) were the significantly associated factors for early treatment of sexually transmitted infection. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION: The proportion of early treatment for sexually transmitted infection in Bahir Dar city was low. Knowledge about STIs, testing/ knowing HIV status, perception of the severity about sexually transmitted infection, and fear of stigma about sexually transmitted infection were the statistically significant factors for early treatment of sexually transmitted infection. So the government better give attention to health education and other health promotion activities to increase the knowledge of youths about sexually transmitted infection and to change their perception of sexually transmitted infection.

BACKGROUND
Early diagnosis of HIV infection decreases the time from HIV diagnosis to viral suppression and reduces further HIV transmission. The Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of HIV/AIDS (2021 edition) state that an HIV RNA level > 5,000 copies/mL is the threshold for diagnosing HIV infection. The impact of low viral load values on HIV diagnosis needs to be investigated.
METHODS
There were 3455 human immunodeficiency virus (HIV1 + 2) antibody results (immunoblotting method) and 65,129 HIV viral load values at Beijing Youan Hospital from 2019 to 2022. A total of 2434 patients had both antibody confirmatory results and viral load results. The confirmatory antibody results and HIV viral load results of 2434 patients were analyzed to investigate the impact of low viral load values on HIV diagnosis.
RESULTS
Of the 2434 patients who had both confirmatory antibody results and viral load results, the viral load values of 140 patients (5.8%) had viral loads ranging from 40 copies/mL to 5,000 copies/mL before positive confirmatory antibody result, and of these 140 patients, the sample receipt time for the viral load tests of 96 (66.7%) individuals was 1 to 6 days earlier than the corresponding sample receipt time for the confirmatory antibody test. In addition, 34 patients (1.4%) had low viral loads ranging from 40 copies/mL to 1,000 copies/mL before positive confirmatory antibody result.
CONCLUSION
This study revealed that there is a risk of missed diagnosis if a threshold of 5000 copies/mL is used for the diagnosis of HIV infection. These data provide valuable information for the early diagnosis of HIV infection, and our findings have potential benefits for decreasing HIV transmission.

BACKGROUND
Malaria is a critical public health concern in Ethiopia, with significant socioeconomic consequences. Malaria data trend analysis is essential for understanding transmission patterns and adopting evidence-based malaria control measures. The purpose of this study was to determine the 5 year distribution of malaria in North Shewa zone, Amhara region, Ethiopia, in 2023.
METHODS
A descriptive cross-sectional study design was employed to analyse the 5 year trend of malaria surveillance data in the North Shewa zone of the Amhara regional, Ethiopia, spanning from July 2018 to June 2023. The malaria indicator data were gathered from the zone's public health emergency management database. Malaria data from the previous 5 years was collected, compiled, processed, and analysed using Microsoft Excel 2019.
RESULTS
Among a total of 434,110 suspected cases 47,889 (11.03%) cases were confirmed as malaria, with an average annual malaria incidence rate of 4.4 per 1000 population in the Zone. Malaria cases exhibited an increase from Epidemiological Week (Epi week) 37 to Epi week 49 (September to November) and again from Epi week 22 to week 30 (May to July). Individuals aged 15 and above, and all districts in the Zone except Angolela were notably affected by malaria.
CONCLUSION
Despite implementing various measures to reduce malaria incidence, the disease continues to persist in the zone. Therefore, the Zone Health Department should intensify its preventive and control efforts.

BACKGROUND
Traumatic proximal tibiofibular fracture and dislocation (PTFD) have been rarely studied and are easily missed in clinical practice. PTFD is considered a marker of severely traumatized knees. The purpose of this study was to retrospectively analyze the incidence and impact of PTFD in traumatized knees with vascular injury.
METHODS
Patients with knee trauma and vascular injury were included from January 2022 to October 2023. X-rays and CT scans of included patients were retrospectively analyzed to determine the presence of PTFD. Patients were further divided into PTFD group and non-PTFD group for further comparative analysis.
RESULTS
A total of 27 patients (28 limbs) were included. Incidence of PTFD was 39.3% (11/28) in traumatic knee with vascular injury, including 8 anterolateral dislocations and 3 posteromedial dislocations. PTFD group had significantly more limbs with open injuries compared with non-PTFD group (10/11 VS 7/17, p<0.05). Amputation rate of PTFD group was as high as 40% (4/10), compared to 23.5% (4/17) in non-PTFD group. However, the difference between two groups was not statistically significant (p>0.05).
CONCLUSIONS
PTFD was easily overlooked or missed. In traumatized knees with vascular injury, incidence of PTFD was high. The presence of PTFD might indicate severe knee trauma and the possibility of open injury. Although there was no significant difference compared with non-PTFD group, PTFD group had a relatively high amputation rate of 40%.
