The aim of this study was to establish reliability of post-activation performance enhancement in three manners: (1) interday morning and afternoon reliability; (2) intraday morning and afternoon reliability; (3) intraday set-to-set reliability. Twelve elite male volleyball players experienced in resistance training performed four identical experimental sessions-two in the morning and two in the afternoon. During each session participants performed a mini complex training session-three sets of a conditioning activity (CA) (3 repetitions of a trap bar deadlift at 80% 1RM with 15% of accommodating resistance) and 90 s after a CA performed squat jump (SJ) with 4 min intra-set rest interval. The ANOVA with repeated measures was used to assess significance of the effect of a CA and ICC to assess reliability of measurements. The PAPE protocol was found to be ineffective to subsequently enhance JH on various occasions. Also, the results of this study suggest that the practitioners may effectively implement appropriately organized complex training as both intraday set-to-set (0.87 and 0.82 for morning sessions; 0.83 and 0.58 for afternoon sessions) and interday morning (0.67) and afternoon (0.8) reliabilities seem to be acceptable. However, introducing two CT sessions within one day is highly questionable as at the moment intraday morning and afternoon reliability is vague (0.88 and 0.48).

Citrulline malate (CM) is purported to be an ergogenic aid during various types of exercise performance. However, the effects of CM on repeated sprint performance (RSP) are under-explored. In a placebo-controlled, double-blind, counterbalanced cross-over design, male university-level team sport athletes (n = 13) performed two familiarization trials, after which CM or placebo (PLA) (8 × 1 g tablets each day) were taken on the 2 days prior to, and with breakfast on the morning of, each main experimental trial. The main experimental trials employed a RSP protocol consisting of 10 repetitions of 40 m maximal shuttle run test (MST) with a 30 s interval between the start of each sprint. Sprint times and heart rate were recorded throughout the MST, and blood lactate concentrations were measured before, immediately after, and 5 min after completing the MST. CM resulted in better RSP compared to PLA, as indicated by a lower sprint performance decrement (S: CM, 4.68% ± 1.82% vs. PLA, 6.10% ± 1.83%; p = 0.03; ES = 0.77), which was possibly influenced by the fastest sprint time being faster in CM (CM, 8.16 ± 0.34 s vs. PLA, 8.29 ± 0.39 s; p = 0.011; ES = 0.34). There were no differences between CM and PLA in average sprint time (p = 0.54), slowest sprint time (p = 0.48), blood lactate concentrations (p = 0.73) or heart rate (p = 0.18), nor was there a condition × time interaction effect across the 10 sprints (p = 0.166). Three days of CM supplementation (8 g daily) attenuated the sprint performance decrement during short-duration high-intensity exercise in the form of running RSP in male university-level team sport athletes.

The use of telemedicine and telehealth has rapidly increased since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, however, could lead to unnecessary medical service. This study analyzes the contents of telemedicine apps (applications) in South Korea to investigate the use of telemedicine for selective or unnecessary medical treatments and the presence of advertising for the hospital. This study analyzed 49 telemedicine mobile apps in Korea; a content analysis of the apps' features and quality using a Mobile Application Rating Scale was done. The study analyzed 49 mobile telemedicine apps and found that 65.3% of the apps provide immediate telemedicine service without reservations, with an average rating of 4.35. 87% of the apps offered selective care, but the overall quality of the apps was low, with an average total quality score of 3.27. 73.9% of the apps were able to provide selective care for alopecia or morning-after pill prescription, 65.2% of the apps for weight loss, and 52.2% of the apps for erectile dysfunction, with the potential to encourage medical inducement or abuse. Therefore, before introducing telemedicine, it is helpful to prevent the possibility of abuse of telemedicine by establishing detailed policies for methods and scope of telemedicine.

The aim of this study was to examine the effect of time of day on short-term maximal performance and psychological variables in young females. Fifteen active women participated in the study (age: 22 ± 3 years) and completed Hooper and the POMS-F questionnaires subsequently. In a randomized order, they performed a maximum of 30 s cycling exercise at two different times of day: in the morning at 07:00 h and in the afternoon at 16:00 h with a recovery period of 48 h. The digit cancellation test, countermovement jump (CMJ), squat jump (SJ) test, and the lower quarter Y balance test were performed at the beginning and at the end of each session. Our results showed that only peak power and mean power ( < 0.01) during the maximum 30 s cycling, reaching distances during the Y-balance ( < 0.05), Jump height in CMJ and SJ ( < 0.01) as well as attention, vigor, and stress scores (all < 0.01) were higher in the afternoon than in the morning. Our results indicated a daily diurnal variation in short-term maximal performance and mood states in young athletic women with better performance observed during the afternoon.

AIM
The aim of this study was to investigate the association of psychological and chronobiological factors with the presence and severity of chronic insomnia by symptom subtypes and their impacts on daytime dysfunctions.
METHODS
Participants of the present web-based epidemiological study were classified as follows: difficulty initiating sleep (DIS) ( = 91); difficulty maintaining sleep (DMS) ( = 13); early morning awakening (EMA) ( = 48); DIS + DMS ( = 67); DIS + EMA ( = 23); DMS + EMA ( = 24); triplet of DIS, DMS, and EMA symptoms (TRP) ( = 69); and normal sleepers ( = 4590). The Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), Munich Chronotype Questionnaire (MCTQ), insomnia-related psychological measures (including the Ford Insomnia Response to Stress Test [FIRST] and the Dysfunctional Beliefs and Attitudes about Sleep Scale [DBAS]), and the cognitive and somatic domains of the Pre-Sleep Arousal Scale (PSAS) were evaluated.
RESULTS
The presence of DIS and DIS + DMS were significantly associated with an evening preference, and EMA and EMA + DMS with a morning preference, while TRP showed no significant association with either chronotype. The increase in DBAS scores was associated with higher ISI scores in all subtypes. Meanwhile, the associations of each psychological measure varied among insomnia subtypes, with the association of PSAS cognitive arousal to DIS and PSAS somatic arousal to both DMS + EMA and TRP. Pathological HADS score was associated with all subtypes.
CONCLUSION
Chronotypes may be associated with the presence of some insomnia subtypes; however, only psychological factors were speculated to contribute to the aggravation of all subtypes. All insomnia subtypes possibly contribute to the formation of depression.

In this study, we evaluated the impact of different light intensities, including 100 %, 50 %, and 30 % of natural sunlight, on the growth, phytochemical compositions, and antioxidant activity of green and purple basil cultivars at two different harvest times: early morning and noon. The height of the plant, number of leaves per plant, length of the petiole, diameter of the stem, and fresh and dry weight of the shoot were all reduced by decreasing light intensity in both basil cultivars. When the plants of both cultivars were grown under full light intensity and were sampled at noon, they showed the highest phenolic and flavonoid contents. The highest antioxidant activity was detected in purple basil cultivars grown under 30 and 50 % of sunlight in both harvests. The green basil cultivar showed the highest antioxidant activity when exposed to 30 % sunlight and harvested in the early morning. The highest essential oil content and yield in both basil cultivars were obtained under full sunlight in the early morning harvests. In summary, light intensity and harvest time influence the phytochemical yield, composition, and growth of two studied basil cultivars. Optimal results, particularly for medicinal purposes, were achieved by morning harvesting to maximize the essential oil yield of basils.

In addition to killing, mosquito nets treated with permethrin have been claimed to repel mosquitoes, reducing their success in passing through a holed net. We have tested this hypothesis by tracking mosquitoes in a modified World Health Organization tunnel test. In the original assay, mosquitoes are released at one end of the tunnel and have to pass through a holed piece of net to reach the bait at the other end. The mosquitoes are left in the tunnel overnight, while mortality and feeding rates are scored the following morning. Since the original test does not reveal how mosquitoes move within the tunnel, we combined the tunnel with a 3D video camera system. We tracked susceptible and permethrin-resistant Anopheles gambiae s.s. as they moved in the tunnel and interacted with an untreated or a permethrin-treated net (Olyset Net). Surprisingly, while permethrin increased the mortality and reduced blood-feeding rates, twice as many mosquitoes passed through the holes of the permethrin-treated net. The flight trajectories reveal that upon exposure to the permethrin-treated net, both mosquito colonies showed increased 'excitation', thereby augmenting their chance of getting through the holes in the net. The study underlines the complexity of behavioural modes of action of insecticides.

Air pollution is a major environmental problem and its monitoring is essential for regulatory purposes, policy making, and protecting public health. However, dense networks of air quality monitoring equipment are prohibitively expensive due to equipment costs, labor requirements, and infrastructure needs. As a result, alternative lower-cost methods that reliably determine air quality levels near potent pollution sources such as freeways are desirable. We present an approach that couples noise frequency measurements with machine learning to estimate near-roadway particulate matter (PM), nitrogen dioxide (NO), and black carbon (BC) at 1-min temporal resolution. The models were based on data collected by co-located noise and air quality instruments near a busy freeway in Long Beach, California. Model performance was excellent for all three pollutants, e.g., NO predictions yielded Pearson's R = 0.87 with a root mean square error of 7.2 ppb; this error represents about 10 % of total morning rush hour concentrations. Among the best air pollutant predictors were noise frequencies at 40 Hz, 500 Hz, and 800 Hz, and meteorology, particularly wind direction. Overall, our method potentially provides a cost-effective and efficient approach to estimating and/or supplementing near-road air pollutant concentrations in urban areas at high temporal resolution.

INTRODUCTION
People with visual impairments and blindness face challenges in performing regular tasks such as maintaining proper sanitation, which makes them vulnerable to intestinal parasitic infections.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
This study aims to examine the prevalence and distribution of intestinal parasitic infections in children and adolescents with ocular diseases and to assess if the lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic affected these rates.
METHODS
This retrospective, hospital record-based study was conducted among children and adolescents attending the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology in Kolkata, India. It involved routine stool examinations as part of their treatment during 2019-2020. Early morning stool specimens were collected and brought to the institute laboratory in containers. Stools were examined under a microscope for cysts, ova, parasites, and adult worms. Findings were recorded in the laboratory record book. These data were then extracted into a spreadsheet and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, Version 26 (Released 2019; IBM Corp., Armonk, New York).
RESULTS
The prevalence of intestinal parasitic infections was 8.59% (59 out of 687 patients). Among those 59 positive cases, , , , , spp., , and were detected in 27 (45.8%), 15 (25.4%), 8 (13.6%), 6 (10.2%), 3 (5.1%), 2 (3.4%), and 1 (1.7%) patients, respectively. The positivity rate of stool samples was higher from September and thereafter from January to March. The sample positivity rate was higher post-pandemic and lockdown, but not statistically significant (11.5% vs. 5.3%; χ²=4.044, df=1, p=0.44).
CONCLUSION
was the most commonly observed intestinal parasite in children and adolescents with ocular disease in our setting. Seasonal variation was noted with higher case positivity at the end of the rainy season and thereafter in winter. Therefore, we propose to strengthen the routine deworming program during this period in Eastern India. Higher sample positivity after the pandemic may be attributed to school closures during the lockdown period, which might have caused some children to miss their routine deworming medication.

The effect of oral nutrition supplement (ONS) on the nutritional and clinical status of patients undergoing autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: study protocol for a randomized controlled clinical trial.
INTRODUCTION
Several side effects within the patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), especially ones that influence nutrition intake, can cause weight loss and malnutrition. Based on studies, oral nutritional supplement (ONS) may reinforce their nutrient intake and progress clinical outcomes. The objective of this research is to investigate the effect of oral nutrition supplements on the nutritional and clinical status of patients undergoing autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
METHODS
After block randomization used the website www.randomization , 38 patients will be enrolled in this study, patients will be allocated to the intervention (ONS) or control groups in a 1: 1 ratio. Patients in the ONS group will receive 250 ml of standard formula (Ensure®, Abbott Nutrition) which has 14-15% protein twice a day, in the morning and bedtime snacks for 21 days. All the procedures done in the control group will be the same as the ONS group except receiving ONS. We will examine the outcomes include; weight, appetite, hand grip strength, calf circumference, mid-arm circumference, total energy intake, protein intake, carbohydrate intake, fat intake, severity of oral mucositis, rate of infection during hospitalization, graft failure, recurrence rate after transplantation, the number of days it takes for neutrophil and platelet engraftment to occur, number of readmissions after transplantation during three months, mortality rate up to three months after transplantation and the three-day food diary record; all the evaluations will be carried out in three steps; 7 days before transplant, on the 14th day after transplantation, and on the 90th day after the transplantation.
DISCUSSION
These patients' weight loss and malnourishment are significant concerns. The use of ONS in patients receiving HSCT has not been the subject of any research.
