Endometrial and cervical cancers are the two most common gynaecological malignancies and among the leading causes of death worldwide. The extracellular matrix (ECM) is an important component of the cellular microenvironment and plays an important role in developing and regulating normal tissues and homeostasis. The pathological dynamics of the ECM contribute to several different processes such as endometriosis, infertility, cancer, and metastasis. Identifying changes in components of ECM is crucial for understanding the mechanisms of cancer development and its progression. We performed a systematic analysis of publications on the topic of changes in the extracellular matrix in cervical and endometrial cancer. The findings of this systematic review show that matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) play an important role impacting tumour growth in both types of cancer. MMPs degrade various specific substrates (collagen, elastin, fibronectin, aggrecan, fibulin, laminin, tenascin, vitronectin, versican, nidogen) and play a crucial role in the basal membrane degradation and ECM components. Similar types of MMPs were found to be increased in both cancers, namely, MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-9, and MMP-11. Elevated concentrations of MMP-2 and MMP-9 were correlated with the FIGO stage and are associated with poor prognosis in endometrial cancer, whereas in cervical cancer, elevated concentrations of MMP-9 have been associated with a better outcome. Elevated ADAMTS levels were found in cervical cancer tissues. Elevated disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs (ADAMTS) levels were also found in endometrial cancer, but their role is still unclear. Following these findings, this review reports on tissue inhibitors of ECM enzymes, MMPs, and ADAMTS. The present review demonstrates changes in the extracellular matrix in cervical and endometrial cancers and compared their effect on cancer development, progression, and patient prognosis.

Liquid biopsy research on Low-Grade gliomas (LGG) has remained less conspicuous than that on other malignant brain tumors. Reliable serum markers would be precious for diagnosis, follow- up and treatment. We propose a clinical utility score (CUS) for biomarkers in LGG that mirrors their clinical usefulness. We conducted a PRISMA review. We examined each biomarker classifying them by CUS and Level of Evidence (LOE). We identified four classes of biomarkers: (1). Circulating protein-(a) vitronectin discriminates LGG from HGG (Sn:98%, Sp:91%, CUS: 3, LOE: III), (b) CTLA-4 discriminates LGG from HGG, (cutoff: 220.43 pg/ml, Sn: 82%, Sp: 78%, CUS:3, LOE:III), (c) pre-operative TGF b1 predict astrocytoma (cutoff: 2.52 ng/ml, Sn: 94.9%, Sp: 100%, CUS:3, LOE:VI). (2). micro-RNA (miR)-(a) miR-16 discriminates between WHO IV and WHO II and III groups (AUC = 0.98, CUS:3, LOE: III), (b) miR-454-3p is higher in HGG than in LGG (p = 0.013, CUS:3, LOE: III), (c) miR-210 expression is related to WHO grades (Sn 83.2%, Sp 94.3%, CUS: 3, LOE: III). (3). Circulating DNA-(a) IDH1R132H mutation detected in plasma by combined COLD and digital PCR (Sn: 60%, Sp: 100%, CUS: 3, LOE: III). 4. Exosomes-(a) SDC1 serum levels could discriminate GBM from LGG (Sn: 71%, Sp: 91%, CUS: 2C, LOE: VI). Our investigation showed that miRs appear to have the highest clinical utility. The LOE of the studies assessed is generally low. A combined approach between different biomarkers and traditional diagnostics may be considered. We identified four main classes of biomarkers produced by LGG. We examined each biomarker, classifying them by clinical utility score (CUS) and level of evidence (LOE). Micro-RNA (miRs) appears to have the highest CUS and LOE.

BACKGROUND
Neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction requires lifelong surveillance and management for the perseveration of patients' quality of life and the prevention of significant morbidity and mortality. Urine biomarkers are an attractive noninvasive method of surveillance for these patients. The aim of this systematic review is to search for and critically appraise studies that investigate the clinical usefulness of urine biomarkers in the management of neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD) in adults.
METHODS
This review was conducted according to PRISMA and MOOSE guidelines. Search strategy included PubMed, CENTRAL, and Scopus (until October 2022). Studies investigating potential urine biomarkers for the management of adults with NLUTD were included.
RESULTS
Fifteen studies fulfilled the criteria. To date, a variety of different urine molecules have been investigated for the diagnosis and management of neurogenic overactive bladder and detrusor overactivity (nerve growth factor, brain-derived neurotrophic factor, prostaglandin E2, prostaglandin F2α, transformation growth factor β-1, tissue inhibitor metalloproteinase-2, matrix metalloproteinase-2, substance P, microRNA), diagnosis of vesicoureteral reflux (exosomal vitronectin), urinary tract infection (neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin, interleukin 6) and bladder cancer screening (cytology, BTA stat, survivin) in neurological patients.
CONCLUSION
Further studies are needed to specify the utility of each molecule in the management algorithm of adult NLUTD.
