Review
Oral pyogenic granuloma or granuloma pyogenicum is a conspicuous lesion. The word pyogenic granuloma is a misterm since the situation is not related with pus and histologically does not exemplify a granuloma. An oral pyogenic granuloma is obvious to involve the gingiva generally. Extragingivally, it can present on the buccal mucosa, lips, tongue, and palate. A report of trauma is prevalent in such sites. The pathogenesis of the lesion is still unclear, although it was initially supposed to be a botryomycosis infection. It is suggested that etiology of pyogenic granuloma was the reaction of tissues to minor injury or chronic irritation, thus open a pathway for the entrance of nonspecific microorganisms, although microorganisms are not often expressed within the lesion. Hence, this review recapitulates all diverse concepts of pathogenesis associated with this most often and most mysterious lesion of the oral cavity.

Nail changes elicited by Ibrutinib are relatively infrequent but are reported in the literature. Herein, we report on two cases that developed Ibrutinib-induced nail toxicities. A 63-year-old female, with relapsing mantle cell lymphoma on Ibrutinib 560mg/day for seven months developed paronychia, onychomadesis, Beau's lines, nail fragility, and brittleness over fingernails and toenails. On the other hand, an 80-year-old male with chronic lymphoid leukemia developed a bloody papule with hemorrhagic crust and nail-plate abnormalities. Skin toxicities manifested eight months after initiating Ibrutinib therapy. From a clinical perspective, Ibrutinib-induced chronic paronychia and PG have been established. All other PG triggers have been ruled out. After the cessation of Ibrutinib, the PG improved for both cases. The exact pathogenesis of PG induced by Ibrutinib is not yet understood but it had been compared to retinoid-related changes. Thus, further research and reporting of similar cases should be done to further understand the pathophysiology of such manifestations.

Pyogenic granulomas are benign, typically painless, vascular tumors of the skin and mucosal surface. Recently the term 'lobular capillary hemangioma' has been introduced to describe the histological appearance more accurately. Major locations for pyogenic granuloma are in the head and neck region, but larynx localization is rare. In this case report, we present a case of a 36-year-old male with lobular capillary hemangioma of the larynx and discuss the related literature.

Hand and wrist disorders are common during pregnancy. Most of these problems develop during the third trimester when hormonal changes, fluid retention, and weight gain are maximum. This review study aimed to discuss pregnancy-related hand and wrist problems, and provide an overview of their pathology, clinical presentations, clinical examinations, and treatment options. Pregnancy-related carpal tunnel syndrome and De Quervain disease are among the most encountered disorders; however, neuralgic amyotrophy, pyogenic granuloma in hand, ligamentous laxity of the joints, arthralgia, and exacerbation of hand and wrist arthritis are among other reported disorders during pregnancy. Pregnancy-related hand and wrist problems may remain undertreated and reduce pregnant females' quality of life. Non-surgical treatments are usually effective for pregnancy-related hand and wrist problems. In general, pregnancy-related hand and wrist problems have a good prognosis and usually resolve after childbirth.

Pyogenic granuloma is a common benign, vascular lesion of the skin and mucosa. Our case was a 34-year-old woman at 28 weeks of gestation. She presented with a complaint of a growing and occasionally bleeding mass on the left lower eyelid conjunctiva for approximately 3 months. On examination, a red, pedunculated fragile lesion on the medial lower eyelid conjunctiva was observed. Ophthalmologic examination revealed that visual acuity was 20/20 in both eyes. Anterior and posterior segment examination was normal bilaterally. The lesion was excised completely under local anesthesia and sent for pathological examination. Histopathological examination revealed multiple vascular structures with small-diameters in the fibrous stroma. Vessels showed strong CD31 expression in immunohistochemical staining. Kaposi sarcoma was excluded due to negative HHV-8 staining. These findings were diagnostic of pyogenic granuloma. The frequency of pyogenic granuloma increases during pregnancy and surgical excision is important in diagnosis and treatment of these patients. This is the first reported case of conjunctival pyogenic granuloma during pregnancy.

BACKGROUND
Pyogenic granuloma is a benign vascular tumor, usually occurring on the skin or in the oral cavity. Small intestinal pyogenic granuloma is extremely rare, but intestinal intussusception due to the tumor is even rarer. Only 3 cases have been reported in the English literature at this writing.
CASE PRESENTATION
An 86-year-old woman presented with abdominal pain and vomiting. Laboratory data discovered anemia. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography revealed small bowel obstruction due to intestinal intussusception. After decompression by long tube for 1 week, the obstruction did not improve and the anemia got worse. Therefore, laparoscopic assisted small bowel resection was performed as a diagnostic therapy. Pathology confirmed the diagnosis of pyogenic granuloma. The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged 10 days after surgery.
CONCLUSIONS
We experienced a case of intestinal intussusception and progressive anemia due to pyogenic granuloma of the ileum. Although the condition is extremely rare, surgeons must take into consideration the tumor in similar cases, and complete surgical resection is required.

Review
AIM
The aim of this study is to highlight the development of pyogenic granuloma and hemangioma after the placement of dental implants.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
A literature search was performed using MEDLINE, accessed via the National Library of Medicine PubMed Interface, for articles published between 2000 and 2014 in English, relating to the occurrence of pyogenic granuloma or hemangioma in relation to dental implants.
RESULTS
Our search identified only four case reports of pyogenic granuloma and hemangioma related to dental implants as reported in the English literature.
CONCLUSION
Placement of dental implants can cause development of pyogenic granuloma and hemangioma, indicating that placement of dental implants requires well-trained specialists with perfect skills in dental implantology. Furthermore, the critical selection of the appropriate case is of paramount importance to avoid the occurrence of such complications.

Pyogenic granuloma is a benign proliferative fibrovascular lesion commonly arising from the skin and mucous membranes of the head and neck region. Histologically, this tumor is characterized by vascular proliferation and a circumscribed group of capillaries organized in lobules. It is usually located in the oral cavity and nasal location is less frequent. When it occurs in pregnant women, it is usually referred as pyogenic granuloma gravidarum. In this article we present the case of a pyogenic granuloma gravidarum in a young woman with intermittent epistaxis during the last trimester of pregnancy that did not resolve after childbirth and was treated with transnasal endoscopic resection and cautery at the base of the lesion for hemostasis under local anesthesia.
