A species of aerobic, Gram positive, rod shaped bacterium assigned to the phylum Actinobacteria. This species is acid fast, nonmotile, catalase and urease positive, negative for 3-day arylsulfatase and Tween 80 hydrolysis, and does not reduce nitrate.
