A species of anaerobic, Gram-negative, pseudo-cocci shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Firmicutes. This species is nonmotile, urease negative, does not hydrolyze carbohydrates, gelatin, or casein, and is sensitive to penicillin, erythromycin and aminoglycosides.
