A species of aerobic, Gram negative, rod shaped bacterium in the family Burkholderiaceae. This species is positive for catalase, growth on Drigalsky agar, growth in 0.5 and 1.5% NaCl, assimilation of d-gluconate, l-malate and phenylacetate, acid and alkaline phosphatase, and leucine arylamidase activity.
