A species of facultatively anaerobic, Gram negative, rod shaped bacteria in the phylum Proteobacteria. This species is motile, positive for urease, beta galactosidase, lipase, ornithine decarboxylase, citrate, and pyrazinamidase and negative for oxidase, indole, and lysine decarboxylase. It is able to ferment rhamnose, inositol, and sorbitol but not melibiose, raffinose, sorbose, or cellobiose.
