Algorithms for the detection of COVID-19 illness from wearable sensor devices tend to implicitly treat the disease as causing a stereotyped (and therefore recognizable) deviation from healthy physiology. In contrast, a substantial diversity of bodily responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection have been reported in the clinical milieu. This raises the question of how to characterize the diversity of illness manifestations, and whether such characterization could reveal meaningful relationships across different illness manifestations. Here, we present a framework motivated by information theory to generate quantified maps of illness presentation, which we term "manifestations," as resolved by continuous physiological data from a wearable device (Oura Ring). We test this framework on five physiological data streams (heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, metabolic activity, and sleep temperature) assessed at the time of reported illness onset in a previously reported COVID-19-positive cohort (N = 73). We find that the number of distinct manifestations are few in this cohort, compared to the space of all possible manifestations. In addition, manifestation frequency correlates with the rough number of symptoms reported by a given individual, over a several-day period prior to their imputed onset of illness. These findings suggest that information-theoretic approaches can be used to sort COVID-19 illness manifestations into types with real-world value. This proof of concept supports the use of information-theoretic approaches to map illness manifestations from continuous physiological data. Such approaches could likely inform algorithm design and real-time treatment decisions if developed on large, diverse samples.

Trophoblast cell surface antigen 2 (Trop2) is overexpressed in a range of solid tumors and participants in multiple oncogenic signaling pathways, making it an attractive therapeutic target. In the past decade, the rapid development of various Trop2-targeted therapies, notably marked by the advent of the antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), revolutionized the outcome for patients facing Trop2-positive tumors with limited treatment opinions, such as triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). This review provides a comprehensive summary of advances in Trop2-targeted therapies, including ADCs, antibodies, multispecific agents, immunotherapy, cancer vaccines, and small molecular inhibitors, along with in-depth discussions on their designs, mechanisms of action (MOAs), and limitations. Additionally, we emphasize the clinical research progress of these emerging Trop2-targeted agents, focusing on their clinical application and therapeutic efficacy against tumors. Furthermore, we propose directions for future research, such as enhancing our understanding of Trop2's structure and biology, exploring the best combination strategies, and tailoring precision treatment based on Trop2 testing methodologies.

BACKGROUND
The GIMAP family genes play a key role in immune function. Increasing evidence suggests that GIMAP genes were implicated in the tumorigenesis of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). This study aimed to investigate the clinical significance of GIMAP family genes in LUAD.
METHODS
In this study, we explored the expression, mutation, prognostic value of GIMAP family genes and the correlation with immune microenvironment in LUAD. We further investigated the relationship between GIMAP family genes expression and immunotherapy response in GEO LUAD and melanoma cohorts.
RESULTS
Among the GIMAP family genes, the expression levels of GIMAP1, GIMAP2, GIMAP4, GIMAP5, GIMAP6, GIMAP7, and GIMAP8 were significantly lower in LUAD tumor tissues than normal tissues. Most GIMAP genes were closely related to age, tumor grade and T stage, but not significantly related to sex, N stage and M stage. In the overall population, patients with high expression of GIMAP family genes had a significant longer overall survival (OS). GO and KEGG enrichment analysis showed that GIMAP family genes were highly enriched in immune-related biological process. The expression of GIMAP family genes was positively correlated with immune cell infiltration and immune checkpoint molecules. Furthermore, high expression of GIMAP family genes were correlated with therapeutic response to immunotherapy in LUAD and melanoma patients.
CONCLUSION
In this study, we identified that GIMAP family genes were significantly associated with immune cell infiltration and immune checkpoint molecules. They potentially play a critical role in anti-tumor immunity and serve as immunotherapy biomarkers.

BACKGROUND
Healthcare professionals and educators closely monitor the occurrence of climacteric symptoms in women's primes. Knowledge and perception of menopause play a crucial role in improving quality of life. This study aimed to assess the knowledge and perceptions of menopause among Saudi women and identify its predictors. This study is the first of its kind in the southern region of Saudi Arabia.
METHODS
Conducted in accordance with the STROBE guidelines, this cross-sectional study was carried out in the Jazan region from May 2022 to January 2023 and involved 480 Saudi women who provided consent. Data were collected through interviews using a validated questionnaire and random sampling. The questionnaire consisted of four parts: informed consent, demographics, 21 knowledge questions, and ten menopause perception questions. The validity of the content and the internal consistency were evaluated before data collection. Primary healthcare centers were randomly selected from four governorates with a proportional sample size to the population. Descriptive analysis, Pearson correlation, and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed using IBM-SPSS.
RESULTS
Among the participants, 64 % were under 40 years old, 80 % had experienced menarche between the ages of 10 and 15, 48 % were employed, approximately half held a bachelor's degree, and they had a good family income. The mean knowledge score of the participants was 48.87 ± 11.72, with a minimum score of 27 and a maximum score of 78. In terms of knowledge categories, 56.3 % of the participants (N = 270) were classified as having low knowledge, while 43.8 % (N = 210) were classified as having high knowledge. Most of the participants had positive perceptions and agreed that menopause is a natural event in women's lives. There was a significant positive correlation between knowledge and perception (R = 0.219, P < 0.01). Variable findings were observed regarding the role of explanatory variables in women's knowledge of menopause between univariate and multivariate models. The results of the multivariate model showed that age (46-50 years, OR = 0.42), having children (OR = 1.09), residence (OR = 0.45-5.73) and family income categories (medium: OR = 3.98, good: OR = 3.78, and excellent: OR = 1.95) had a significant impact on knowledge, highlighting the correlation between demographic factors and knowledge.
CONCLUSIONS
Based on the study findings, we recommend implementing workplace and community-based activities to increase women's awareness of menopause and incorporating it as an integral part of counseling sessions for women in this age group. Therefore, the results of the study will be shared with the relevant authorities responsible for women's health, enabling them to effectively support and educate women

Jiedu-Quyu-Ziyin Fang (JQZF) is a formula that has been empirically used for the treatment of SLE in clinical practice. JQZF has become an approved hospital prescription in China. Fifteen MRL/lpr mice were randomly divided into three groups: Model, JQZF, and JQZF + GC, with five mice in each group. Five MRL/MPJ mice were used as the Blank group. After 8 weeks of administration, peripheral blood serum was collected to detect anti-dsDNA antibodies and complement C3 levels. Spleen B cells were collected to detect the expression of TLR7 and NF-κBp65 mRNA, and correlation analysis was performed. Transcriptome sequencing analysis was also performed on spleen B cells. Further, key miRNA and key gene mRNA expression were detected by RT-qPCR, and key protein expression levels were detected by Western blot method. Bioinformatics methods predicted that ESR1 is a key target of JQZF action on SLE, hsa-miR-146a-5p is one of the key miRNAs, and KEGG pathway analysis showed that NF-κB signaling pathway is its key signaling pathway. Transcriptome sequencing of MRL/lpr mouse spleen B cells revealed that the differential genes between the JQZF and Model groups were enriched in Toll-like receptor signaling pathway, NF-κB signaling pathway, Estrogen signaling pathway, etc. Animal studies show that JQZF treatment significantly boosts serum C3 and lowers anti-dsDNA antibodies ( < 0.01). On the molecular level, JQZF suppresses TLR7 and NF-κBp65 mRNA in spleen B cells, with TLR7 mRNA positively linked to anti-dsDNA titers and negatively to serum C3. Further cellular work demonstrates that JQZF reverses the increased IRAK1 and TRAF6 expression seen after miR146a inhibition. Additionally, post-ERα inhibition, JQZF continues to upregulate miR146a and more significantly reduces TLR7 mRNA expression ( < 0.01), pointing to ERα's pivotal role in the miR146a-TLR7 axis. These results indicate JQZF alleviates SLE by adjusting the ERα-miR146a-TLR7 loop, showcasing its mechanism and therapeutic potential for SLE.

Does US monetary policy uncertainty affect returns of Asian Developed, emerging, and frontier equity markets? Empirical evidence by using the quantile-on-quantile approach.
This paper examines the impact of the Monetary Policy Uncertainty (MPU) of the United States on Asian developed, emerging, and frontier stock markets using a Quantile-on-Quantile (QQR) approach by using monthly data from January 2006 to December 2022 of 14 Asian countries. The study finds that US monetary policy significantly negatively influences Asian stock markets. This is primarily due to the widespread use of the US dollar as a universal currency, resulting in substantial ripple effects on other nations through trade relationships. In Asian developed markets, MPU is negatively related to Australia and New Zealand. At the same time, it has a positive relationship with Hong Kong and Japan at the upper quantiles. Among Asian emerging markets, MPU negatively impacts Taiwan's, India's, and China's returns, increasing this negative relationship at higher MPU quantiles. Additionally, MPU has a significant negative relationship with Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, and Malaysia returns. In contrast, higher quantiles of MPU have no discernible impact on the Philippines stock returns. In Asian frontier markets, MPU negatively impacts Pakistan's and Sri Lanka's returns. The implications of these findings are twofold: for investors, this study provides valuable insights for hedging activities, allowing for more informed decisions based on the MPU of other countries to identify profitable stocks. For policymakers, this research aids in formulating effective monetary policy strategies. Furthermore, future studies can build upon these results by exploring other markets and comparing their outcomes with the findings presented in this study.

INTRODUCTION
This study examined the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of L. (caper) in order to determine its medicinal potential in the treatment of acute colitis.
METHOD
Sixty male rats were divided into six groups. After the experimental period, distal colonic extension was collected for determination of colonic damage, oxidative stress markers, along with antioxidant markers. The impact of altered levels of inflammatory cytokines in colon tissues on the underlying mechanisms examined.
RESULTS
The results showed that administering different doses of caper led to significant decreases in TNF-α and IL-6 levels when compared to the control colitis group (p < 0.001). Caper treatment effectively lowered elevated oxidative stress factors (MDA, NO, and MPO) compared to the control colitis group (p < 0.001). Caper treatment resulted in a significant increase in antioxidant factors (CAT, SOD, and GSH) compared with the control colitis group (p < 0.001).Significant improvements in tissue repair were observed in caper-treated groups compared to positives and control colitis (p < 0.001).
CONCLUSION
The study highlights caper may be useful in the treatment of acute colitis due to its ameliorative effects on inflammation, oxidative stress, and tissue repair.

It is found that executive compensation incentives can significantly enhance corporate ESG Ratings. This effect is achieved through promoting green innovation efficiency, enhancing environmental information disclosure, and improving financial performance. However, this positive impact weakens with an increase in management shareholding, but strengthens with a higher proportion of independent directors. When compensation exceeds appropriate levels, overcompensation leads to a decline in ESG Ratings. The significance of this study lies in revealing potential pathways for enhancing corporate sustainability through executive compensation incentives, while also emphasizing the importance of formulating appropriate compensation strategies.

This review summarizes the predatory potential of mosquitoes as biological control agents for vectors. A single larva can consume hundreds of mosquito larvae during its development, with preference for larger prey and higher consumption rates at higher prey densities. Studies suggest can significantly reduce populations. Beyond direct predation, they may indirectly influence prey behavior and adult mosquito lifespan. Despite the demonstrably positive effects of species as biocontrol agents, there are acknowledged limitations that require further investigation. These limitations include potential variations in effectiveness across diverse habitats and mosquito developmental stages. Additionally, long-term ecological sustainability and potential ramifications warrant further research. Future efforts should prioritize optimizing rearing and release strategies to enhance effectiveness. Exploring the potential for combined control methods with other biocontrol agents or traditional methods is also crucial. Finally, investigating the influence of environmental factors on predation rates can further refine and optimize the application of in mosquito control programs.

BACKGROUND
Neonatal sepsis is defined as an infection-related condition characterized by signs and symptoms of bacteremia within the first month of life. It is the leading cause of mortality and morbidity among newborns. While several studies have been conducted in other parts of world to assess the usefulness of complete blood count parameters and hemogram-derived markers as early screening tools for neonatal sepsis, the associations between sepsis and its complications with these blood parameters are still being investigated in our setting and are not yet part of routine practice.
AIM
To evaluate the diagnostic significance of complete blood cell count hemogram-derived novel markers for neonatal sepsis among neonates attending public hospitals in the southwest region of Oromia, Ethiopia, through a case control study.
METHODS
A case control study was conducted from October 2021 to October 2023 Sociodemographic, clinical history, and laboratory test results data were collected using structured questionnaires. The collected data were entered into Epi-data 3.1 version and exported to SPSS-25 for analysis. Chi-square, independent sample -test, and receiver operator characteristics curve of curve were used for analysis. A -value of less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
RESULTS
In this study, significant increases were observed in the following values in the case group compared to the control group: In white blood cell (WBC) count, neutrophils, monocyte, mean platelet volume (MPV), neutrophils to lymphocyte ratio, monocyte to lymphocyte ratio (MLR), red blood cell width to platelet count ratio (RPR), red blood width coefficient variation, MPV to RPR, and platelet to lymphocyte ratio. Regarding MLR, a cut-off value of ≥ 0.26 was found, with a sensitivity of 68%, a specificity of 95%, a positive predictive value (PPV) of 93.2%, and a negative predictive value (NPV) of 74.8%. The area under the curve (AUC) was 0.828 ( < 0.001). For WBC, a cut-off value of ≥ 11.42 was identified, with a sensitivity of 55%, a specificity of 89%, a PPV of 83.3%, and a NPV of 66.4%. The AUC was 0.81 ( < 0.001). Neutrophils had a sensitivity of 67%, a specificity of 81%, a PPV of 77.9%, and a NPV of 71.1%. The AUC was 0.801, with a cut-off value of ≥ 6.76 ( = 0.001). These results indicate that they were excellent predictors of neonatal sepsis diagnosis.
CONCLUSION
The findings of our study suggest that certain hematological parameters and hemogram-derived markers may have a potential role in the diagnosis of neonatal sepsis.
