A species of facultatively anaerobic, Gram negative, rod shaped bacterium in the phylum Proteobacteria. This species is motile by peritrichous flagella, catalase positive, reduces nitrate, hydrolyzes esculin, oxidase, indole and urease negative and not susceptible to erythromycin and penicillin.
