Paraphimosis usually develops when a tight foreskin is retracted over the glans penis for a prolonged period. Many esoteric aetiologies have been implicated in the development of paraphimosis including piercing the foreskin, Plasmodium falciparum infection, application of celadine juice to the foreskin, chancroid, pessaries and the implantation of pearls. We report the first two cases of paraphimosis developing during wining, an erotic dance native to Trinidad & Tobago.

Circumcision (or reefing operation) was performed on an aged pony stallion to remove excessive granulation tissue involving the preputial integument following an injury and subsequent paraphimosis. Postoperative swelling of the penis and prepuce was reduced daily with gentle massage. Initially, an improvised suspensory was used to support the penis postoperatively. The pony was able to voluntarily retract its penis six months following surgery.

PATIENTS AND METHODS
A total of 45 patients underwent reduction of paraphymosis at LN Hospital, Delhi, India and Leighton Hospital, Crewe, UK from August 1991 to September 1999 using the multiple puncture and glans squeeze technique. These were divided into 3 grades: grade 1, paraphymosis without engorgement of glans; grade 2, paraphymosis with engorgement of glans; and grade 3, paraphymosis with associated skin changes (non-pitting oedema, cheese-cutting of the shaft of the penis or erosions).
RESULTS
Grade 1 (6) patients were reduced by simply pulling the foreskin back into the normal position. Grade 2 (37) patients were reduced by the above-mentioned technique. Grade 3 (2) patients could not be reduced by this technique and the band had to be divided.
CONCLUSIONS
Difficult paraphymosis with gross engorgement of the glans can be successfully reduced by this technique as long as the skin changes are not marked.

Paraphimosis is usually acute painful condition. Delay in medical attention might result in dreaded complications like gangrene and auto-amputation. Very rarely patient might present late with large painless paraphimosis as in our case just because it interrupts intromission despite satisfactory painless erection.

The study of pathological conditions of the male reproductive system is paramount to understanding reproductive inefficiency in the Sahel goat. In this study, 1048 Sahel bucks presented for slaughter at the Maiduguri metropolitan abattoir were evaluated for the presence of various pathological abnormalities of the reproductive system. A total incidence of 15.08% was recorded for various pathological conditions, with testicular, penile, and scrotal conditions having incidences of 7.82%, 4.80 and 2.50%, respectively. Bilateral testicular hypoplasia and atrophy and unilateral cryptorchidism accounted for incidences of 4.10%, 2.38%, and 1.24%, respectively, while paraphimosis and scrotal laceration had incidences of 1.72% and 1.05%, respectively. Age specific incidence of pathological conditions were not significant (P > 0.05) between bucks aged <1-1.5 and 2-2.5 years. However, bucks aged 3-3.5 year a had lower (P < 0.05) incidence of pathological conditions than other age groups. Histopathological evidence of inflammation, degeneration, and atrophy was observed in the testes, while inflammatory changes were observed in the prepuce.
